Had a problem with our car, a Honda ZR-V, this morning.

The car started fine however two errors showed – one for the brake hold and one for EP (I’ve since established relates to emissions). The brake hold wouldn’t release.

It eventually did and no further errors came up once it got going however it is a bit of a worry- would hate it to be happen when not at home.

Who would I contact to have it checked, would it be the dealer? I assume as its going OK at the moment it wouldn’t be RAC?

One of the named drivers on our motability account has recently married, therefore changed name. We’ve just had the new driving license back after changing with DVLA.

How do we change the name on the motability account for insurance purposes? There isn’t an option to amend, just remove or deactivate. Would me removing her and re-adding with the new name and license number work straight away?

Sorry if this is a daft question. Got first motability car towards the end of May. Just realised we haven’t had a V5C through for it yet. Is this normal, or should we have this?

We ordered ours early May and picked up 20th May, came with BSM.

Honestly loving the car, minimal complaints. Enjoy when you get it!

                  Hi All.

Just a quick question. Placed first order on motability yesterday, had already set up the online motability account and we provided the proof of entitlement letter at the dealership.

They mentioned we should also get another letter from motability confirming entitlement and if we get one to send this over. We can’t seem to find any information on this though, everything we can find just says it’s the benefit entitlement letter that’s needed.

Is there another letter we should have?

After much deliberation, multiple test drives and trying to find “the one”, we placed an order yesterday for a Honda ZR-V.

We had whittled down to the Honda and a Qashqai EPower N-Connecta – both had similar delivery times of around 2 weeks (colour dependant) and whilst the Qashqai had a slightly bigger boot, the additional features that come with the Honda swung it for us.  The boot size is big enough for the ASN stroller we need which was the main thing.

The ZR-V gives heated seats front and back, electric seats and heads up display over the Qashqai as well as a few other things like the car “remembering” the seat position of each driver when their relevant key is in the car. Crazy!

Thanks to everyone for their input, really helpful and this forum has been a blessing.

Thank you. I do really like the look of the BYD but the more I look at things I’m not sure I’m “ready” to go full electric yet. We do a fair amount of longer trips so reliability comes in to it too. Unfortunately we don’t have a BYD dealer here but could travel.

Thanks for the advice, we have a test drive today and then will see how we feel.

Just realised on a comment I’d asked for electric SUV recommendations, when I actually meant full-hybrid.

Would be looking at £2000 advance payment (although the Qashqai hybrid is £2499)

                          Ioniq 5 looks excellent value……

That is a stunning car, and as you say the value looks great. Definitely on our list, although that list is ever growing haha

Thanks for the replies all. We did go to Skoda but it was near closing time and there wasn’t much time to properly look – will go back to look at the Enyaq.

                            Any recommendations for electric suv’s?

Have a Toyota Bz4x vision, realistically around 220 in winter, big boot, have electric wheelchair, hoist and a walker in, plenty of room in the back too, comfy car and good to drive (hubby says).

Brilliant, will have a look at this one, thank you.
