It’s mainly a matter of principle for me
We get a letter saying our allowance is increasing as will everyone else, Motability get to keep that extra money yet NEVER mention this in their statements
I may not be effected by these changes yet but again it’s my principle, I feel that I’m giving them my money for them to give new and renewing customers LESS than I have currently which is to be fair wrong.
Solutions?
Manufacturers working directly with us to offer the same or similar and cutting Motability out of the equation. Like Peugeot did with their “Just Add Fuel“

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesThrowing my dummy out?
Why do folk on this forum feel the need to flip a conversation and throw insults around lol
I believe in fairness and wether I have 2 years or 2 days left I’d still be the same mindset as I think the scheme is no longer fair! Wether it effects me NOW or not!
Simple!

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesOfc you can, they can’t force you to keep it if you wish to leave the scheme
I'm blunt and straight to the point and I make no apologies for it!
Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesI’d see it out
But I feel bad for new customers, who’ll pay what we do and get less for it
So I don’t feel comfortable giving them MY money to treat new and renewing customers with such disrespect acting like they’re not able to do better
I'm blunt and straight to the point and I make no apologies for it!
Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesI’m not happy giving them more money when the changes effect anyone not just potentially me
So again, if you think the changes are fair then you’re free too stay on as I am free to leave for my own reasons

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesNone specifically
But I’d rather not continue giving them money with how they’ve changed the scheme, the average cost of a lease they get enough as it is and the changed they’ll be getting the same and giving us the customers less.
Seems fair to you? I for one don’t think it is and ain’t happy giving them my money any longer

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesAnd you still can’t configure the PV5 online and when you ring a Kia van accredited van centre they’re just as useless

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesThis is supposed to be happening afterwards not before the change in July

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesThis is what I thought, because an advisor at our dealership said that if a customer cancels and order or has to return a car then that dealership gets a black mark against them from Motability.
I hope the agent was wrong but they even went off and checked with someone else.

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesWhen is the Scheme changing?
Nothing is changing right now. If you order a new vehicle before 1 July 2026 you’ll get the current lease terms and conditions and our ‘price freeze’ which means the price at the time you apply is locked, even if it changes before you receive your vehicle.
So I rang and asked customer services and that’s what they told me, that if the price increases then you’re expecting to pay the new price

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesI’d imagine the Tucson will be coming off for it’s upcoming facelift

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesHopefully it does return, I can understand the higher AP for it, but not for the base Premium model
A refresh could be happening as it’s approaching 3yrs old this year for this current version
Hopefully Hyundai refresh the battery etc too if it is being refreshed

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesI’m aware they need a VRN for an order
But it’s bizzare that you can’t even configure colour etc on Kia’s site yet prices are announced lol

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesThank you
Completely missed that, as they haven’t attached a image lol, bizzare Motaclarity have both trims listed, and more bizzare that you can’t even configure it on Kia’s website yet to select your colour etc

I certainly agree, the choice should be more plentiful, but they don’t have any say in what’s available, it’s what the manufacturer wants to offer them for the scheme I got told.
But as for the “Chinese” cars not being able to connect phone via Bluetooth, that information is wrong as they all have Wireless Android Auto and Wireless Apple Carplay as standard
And some have descent HP ( BYD Seal U DM-i Design is over 300bhp )
It’s a pity the Omoda 9 wasn’t put on the scheme as that’s over 400bhp.

I'm blunt and straight to the point and I make no apologies for it!
Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesI agree we should have a choice of our own, but Motability consider service costs etc and unfortunately some models are just not financially viable to service ( I’ve never understood high maintenance costs on some cars )
Land/Range rover charge silly money for services which is why they’re not on even though they have a vehicle under 40k available ( or did ) and BMW some of theirs are ridiculous to service
And Motability just won’t pay for it. And insurance groups, even though its fleet insurance they still have to pay premiums on new policies added.
So as easy as it sounds to say we should get a say, it’s not the case for them, I had an in-depth conversation with an accounts manager when they dealt with my case over a lemon car on their processes when it comes to choosing cars, as alongside them wanting certain models, it’s actually more the manufacturers what models and trims they offer to the scheme.

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesHave you looked at the Kia Sorento Diesel that’s available in the scheme?
Bigger than the Kodiaq and similar price to the Skoda
I'm blunt and straight to the point and I make no apologies for it!
Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesApply for a grant from Motability and get the Santa FE or Sorento
No issue with space etc then as you’ll all 100% fit

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesI’ve done the very same today
Cancelled my order and ordered the same vehicle as it was almost £2500 cheaper

Bipolar, OCD and a multitude of other MH issues and physical disabilitiesNo i saw the video, I was just saying that Moto don’t allow modifications
I already knew the B&O systems wasn’t genuine since I saw them when I had windows tinted in my Mach-E
When I questioned fords about it they mearly state that it has a B&O system which can include them only “tuning” the sound profile of the speakers
