This is a continuation of the old thread which was becoming slow to load.
We will be deleting all posts not related directly to the number of vehicles on the Scheme at the end of the day, or sometimes sooner. Please do not take offence if your post is deleted, it’s intended to make this thread as uncluttered as possible.

By jove, tosh.
I would say Vauxhall have only lost the plot recently since Stellantis took over. I had a 200bhp 2 litre GTC on the scheme a number of years ago and it was an excellent car.
Doesn’t change the fact that we’re starting to get some right rubbish added to the scheme these days.
February 10, 2026 at 4:27 pm #337717So true @Glos Guy. The scheme is rapidly becoming a dumping ground for Far East rubbish.
That’s totally unjustified. You’re forgetting about the utter tosh that Vauxhall has been churning out for the past 20 or so years.
When you look at the likes of the new Vauxhalls, Jeeps and the issues mentioned about Peugeot EVs and their app, talking about untested Chinese cars and Motability being a dumping ground for tosh is a little rich.
Some Chinese cars are better than some of the cars with a much longer history on the Scheme, some are yet to prove their reliability, which could be why they’re not on the scheme.
I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.Mark

I agree! Its only since PSA and later Stellantis ownership, Vauxhall gone downhill fast with pesky 3cyl engines.
I think we often overlook, China is a number of years ahead when it comes to BEV’s and without them europe would not battery cells for EV’s. The other thing to point out is, european auto manufacturers have been in bed with China with patnerships and joint adventure’s, not forgetting a number of european manufacturers build several of their cars, partnership plants in China and ship back to europe to be sold – Examples include BMW ix3, Cupra Taviscan, Citreon C5x, DS9 and Dacia Sping, not forgetting Stellantis brought Leap Motor to europe under their joint adventure, to avoid tariffs.
Unfortunately Motability only seem to be interest in the bottom range of what Chinese manufacturers build!
February 10, 2026 at 7:58 pm #337730Tesla suffered manufacturing issues until they changed production from the USA to China, the majority of vehicle component are manufactured in China.
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.

February 11, 2026 at 9:35 pm #337783Dude (WMc),
I thought you said you were gonna delete all the ‘noise’ from this thread.
When I read it I cannot differentiate the general crap from the Chinese crap 🙁
Please follow through with your promises.
Thanks

February 12, 2026 at 12:57 pm #337808I agree that china do have the technology but they’re good at putting stuff into things like apple, or tvs or certain cars but when they make there own stuff it doesn’t seem original and you are right Motability are adding rubbish the scheme has literally hit the end of time, but as much E-mails as people can do to motabilty operations they do listen
