just ordered my 3rd car the, motability scheme is an amazing deal for disabled people and excellent value and saves us money as much as time and stress when owning your own vehicle time spent on arranging insurance quote, breakdown cover, tires etc. etc. my only thought is as we are paying for the vehicle through PIP and advance payment then should we not have the choice of cars we want. for example on the motability scheme there are cars that are up to £55000 and more RRP on car dealers sites so there are cars from dealers lot cheaper then the price mentioned but not on the scheme e.g. Audi q5 starts at £50660 RRP  before discount lots other cars from other manufactures well below 55k . just my thought we should have the choice what we buy as we are paying for it.

I agree we should have a choice of our own, but Motability consider service costs etc and unfortunately some models are just not financially viable to service ( I’ve never understood high maintenance costs on some cars )

Land/Range rover charge silly money for services which is why they’re not on even though they have a vehicle under 40k available ( or did ) and BMW some of theirs are ridiculous to service

And Motability just won’t pay for it. And insurance groups, even though its fleet insurance they still have to pay premiums on new policies added.

So as easy as it sounds to say we should get a say, it’s not the case for them, I had an in-depth conversation with an accounts manager when they dealt with my case over a lemon car on their processes when it comes to choosing cars, as alongside them wanting certain models, it’s actually more the manufacturers what models and trims they offer to the scheme.

I'm blunt and straight to the point and I make no apologies for it!
