<p style=”text-align: left;”>Austral is too pricey for me tbh. I’ve always had Bosch wipers on my current ateca. I got a chip out of the windscreen on day 2, RAC replaced wipers for free.

Just answered my own query. Oops

Geriboo. Reason: Found my own answer
I did an email order on 30th Dec. Sent all my docs through dealer did the application.
January 2, 2024 at 6:44 pm in reply to: New Q1 AP Drops in Price ASK the Dealer for the New Lower AP #253478I emailed yesterday. Just checked my motability account, all sorted. Luckily it’s only £100 difference. Original order was 30th Dec.
SEAT haven’t offered any extra discounts. It was all ordered via email. I haven’t been in to the showroom yet, except to see the demo car. They’ve been closed today as well
I upgraded from Xperience Ateca and ordered the Auto Ateca Xperience Lux on 30th. I’ve emailed the dealer to ask if the AP can be changed to save the extra £100.
<p style=”text-align: center;”>I’m tempted by lots of other cars, but I don’t have off street parking for an electric car. I like the big boot, the 360° camera, and the self parking is now a necessity. This has thankfully restricted the cars I can consider. It has lots of nice extras, especially when AP is working out at less than £1800 now.
Kia Stonic is on the scheme now, they do bright Banana Yellow. My friend has just ordered one in that colour to buy privately. It’s her second one now.
Thanks
I’ve been test driving for a new car this week. I can order from 23rd Dec. I wasn’t able to for my first car, so you tube etc., determined the SEAT Ateca experience.
Tested the Qashqai Tekna epower this morning, very underwhelmed. Then a spur of the moment drive to Renault in Leamington – purely because of comments on this forum, to test the Austral Hybrid. Iconic a bit too much for me, I wouldn’t miss the extras on offer. I’d rather use the extra money for fuel.
SO different. My Ateca Experience has not got great mpg. The one thing I think I’ll have to miss out on, if I go for the Austral, is self parking.
Austral is top of my list at the moment, mpg, drive, comfort, AP, electric seat adjustment, heated seats and massage function are swaying me. Plus that big arm rest down the centre would be great. I’m short so fixed arm rests are useless when I’m pushed forward and it creates achy shoulders and tiredness.
The display screens are great too. I walloped over every speed bump and pot hole I could and, although noticeable, far less than I was anticipating.
Question. Do I order before or on 2nd Jan in hopes that the AP is reduced???
