My Citroen Dealer which is family run I feel for them the compound like Covid times. They no longer sell MG now either. When AP were high in the past especially the C5 Aircross many of their C5 Aircross customers switched to the MG HS.
but to be honest Nathaniel’s has MG sown up in South Wales so think it made financial sense for them to give up the MG Sales franchise.
just crazy how Citroen removed quite a few models too especially on the C4

my late brother was doing 35 in a 30 ago outside Lampeter Well there was a copper hiding in the bus stop. So he stopped him came up to the car his words were “bloody hell Benji should have known it was you” they were in the Paras together. So they had a good chat as they hadn’t seen each other since my brothers accident. He let him off with a friendly warning lol. Was my brothers lucky day

Sounds like even Motability has changed their policy now as I remember a good few years ago reading documentation on the site the dealers use that they would like the vehicle new or renewal if due on the last week of the month before plate change to postpone it to the new plate date unless if the vehicle was to be adapted.
As I say this was a good few years ago now that I read that.

Due to passed issues with Europcar when my late brother was alive I don’t trust them as far as I can throw them but a couple of months ago sisters car had a adblue fault this was on a Friday afternoon luckily she was near the Citroen garage so had to leave it there.
Europcar delivered a MG HS on the Saturday morning gauge was on full.
Monday morning car was fixed but we couldn’t get it back until Tuesday.
Anyway I said to my sister let’s take the hire car back to their branch in Tredegar I’ll follow you up we’ll fill it back up at the garage right around the corner from them as I don’t trust them to charge a fee just taking it from the garage in Merthyr to Tredegar even if we had filled it up in Merthyr.
over those 3 days she had it done around 100 miles 1 bar had gone out well it took 30 miles to fill it to brim.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they used the same garage to fill it up before delivering it to here so that would have been around 10 miles of fuel used.
they dealer said we could take it back there they won’t charge I said they do. I had enough dealings with them on my late brother behalf.

Can’t believe the car nearly 3 years old on the 28th May where the time gone hey.
Took it in for its MOT and Service on Tuesday it flew through. So all good for another year.

now the next one down the Max which is the highest spec you can get now in a Petrol Diesel now been stopped the 1.2 130 EAT8 Max is £1,295.

Thank you struth. Been a bit of a shambles with the hospital and the ambulance service but that’s another story. Appreciate the kind comment.
as for the car some know I am a Citroen nut but I do know they not perfect but this car been the best I’ve ever had. This is my 6th car all been Citroens of course I’ll always have a soft spot for my first car but Citroen has really upped their game the last few years.
My late brother 2 months before he passed away back in 2013 was on his 7th car alao Motability car that was a C4 1.6eHDi 115 Exclusive EGS6 which was a nice car even though o my got to drive it for 2 months but this C4 I got now I think he would have loved it. It’s come a long way. Drives lovely the EAT8 box so smooth. The 155 gives a great punch of power when you need it. Shame the 155 is no more due to emissions getting stricter.
Now according to figures the 1.2 136 Self Charging Hybrid 6 speed dual clutch automatic that is going on the C4 from this month is suppose to be just as quick. AP hasn’t been released yet though but still even if it’s still the same as the 1.2 130 EAT8 Max it costs more than what I paid for this 155 in 2021.
Spec Wise between the Max and my Shine Plus
Gains
Heated Steering Wheel as standard on the Auto (I use a steering ball anyway so not really a again for me)
The Touchscreen Software like in the C5 X which consists of wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, other the air updates to the Sat Nav and Firmeware, better graphics and a Shark Fin Aerial

and one little thing I don’t like Citroen for they no longer wrap the front A Pillars anymore only if you pay £300 for a black roof. I’m my option I think it makes the car that bit nicer but that just my preference some may like it all coloured.
some of that kit my 155 has is standard on the ë-series fully electric which in Nil AP at the moment which is a great deal for someone who wants to go fully electric.

looking forward to the nice weather again to go down Somerset hopefully North Devon as well. Obviously lucky to have Brecon Beacons on my door step too. Hope my mam will be well enough to come out with me. Sad seeing her looking frail I live with her so seeing the difference in her is upsetting but hope she improves soon.

I’ve extended my lease for 2 years on the old girl. All simple done through the online account. Even the insurance documents were updated within minutes.
I nearly went to order a C5 Aircross 1.5BlueHDi EAT8 Max but my mam is poorly at the moment been sent home from hospital where she shouldn’t have been so my heart not really in it plus I do like this car. The 1.2 155 pulls really well and I got the power when needed plus it’s been economical. I’ve only put 12,500 miles on it.
Plates are different since early photos as I have a private plate in my late brothers memory on it since last October.

Can’t fault my Citroen Dealer Thomas and Davies Merthyr Tydfil. Been having cars from there since my first ever car in 2005. They appreciate all customers either it be Motability or Retail. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Maybe worth seeing if your Citroën Dealer has a C5 Aircross Hybrid Demo give you the opportunity to see what the 6 speed Dual Clutch is like. There quite a few of them on AutoTrader already so your local one may have one. Same size of the 3008 so should give the idea of how it performs.
I know what you mean about the EAT8 mind as I have the same box in my 2021 C4 1.2 155 Shine Plus.

Unless anyone needs a car asap and the dealer has a ë-C4 Shine Plus or C-Series in stock better off having the ë-Series.
Mind shame they aren’t the larger battery capacity models.

The cars that goes to Auction that have adaptions the Auction houses removes them and say in the description example hoist removed along with pics of cut outs in the boot panel that was made when installing the hoist.
And then gets disposed of.
