Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).
The only person who got all his work done by Friday was Robinson Crusoe.

Still wet, grey and windy. Meh!
Listened to most of me Beatles LPs yesterday. Shall I go for ancient 1950s jazz records today? Or maybe a good blast of Beethoven 9 and the loud bits of the Messiah? Hmm…
It’s a misty 14c here with brisk SW winds.
I’m going nowhere until house moving day, which is this Friday. The family have banned me from going outside because of my “wobbly’ inability to balance on the steps that surround the house (without help). Guess, I’ll potter about the kitchen while a good sized gammon joint roasts, and then a couple of containers of broccoli cheese and plenty of small cubed garlic potatoes with chantenay carrots will be swiftly produced from the Ninja, and served with a pat of butter on top …. happy days!

I will miss the superb daily view, but my son’s new house is in a nice village with a cracking gastro pub only 60 metres from our front door. It’s a large, lovely place to live, and is much closer to his work place for his daily commute.
It has six bedrooms/5 baths in a ‘Georgian style’ main house, and a separate two bedrooms and two baths barn conversion with large kitchen and lounge. It’s all enclosed in a safe and secure quadrangle of old stables, garages and workshops etc, and gets maximum sun on the courtyard on a daily basis. (it is also totally flat with no steps).
It’s still 14c here, but the wind has dropped now (just to stay on topic, lol)

With my son, daughter in law, two granddaughters, two grandsons and another new grandson expected in January, (plus me), we shall soon fill the space!

It’s house moving day …. Three of my sons are here with a Luton bodied truck with tail lift to do all the heavy lifting. I will just point at things and give unhelpful ignorable instructions, lol! (and make the tea and coffee and snacks).
Cold, grey, wet and generally miserable 🙁

Absolutely agree, @kezo John Keats summed it up rather more accurately than GB News with “Mists and mellow fruitfulness”. Well, “Unearthly radiation and mellow fruitfulness” just doesn’t have that ring to it, does it?
What a dull day it has been today. No sunshine whats so ever, but it has been dry. Out side temp of 13° inside 19.5° no heating required.
Bloody Halloween tonight. get ready for the endless knocks on the door. Sweeties ready.

Daylight fall’s across the land, the fog rolls in across are land, to disguise the ghouls, as they depart are land, an unearthly chill passes, as they go by, listen carefully, you can still hear them screech as the fog lifts, leaving an autumn mist and not a breeze in sight.
