Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

February 21, 2025 at 5:50 pm #298123I am very interested in the Enyaq Sportline but I have to arrange a test drive with the local dealer first. However, I have a question about dashcams …………….. I’ve never had a dashcam but I see a lot of really very poor driving skills, perhaps it’s an age thing on my side. In any event I think a dash cam for front and rear might be worthwhile, has anybody got any experience of which dashcam to fit and whether to go the DIY route or by the dealer?
February 21, 2025 at 6:37 pm #298127If you want a hard wired dashcam, Motability say you must have it fitted by the main dealer. Our Skoda dealer had an offer for a fitted dashcam at £175. This was last year.
February 21, 2025 at 6:41 pm #298128Looked into it and decided wasn’t worth the cost as we’d have to pay to have it removed after the lease and wouldn’t change anyone else’s driving etc
February 21, 2025 at 7:00 pm #298129I’ve bought the hard wire kit I’ll just fit it myself doesn’t need any holes cut so no one will ever know and I don’t care.
Honestly I’ve had so many incidents of others bad driving I hate not having one at the moment, at the end of the day it’s not about stopping others bad driving it’s about protecting yourself from idiots and liars. I would’ve killed for one when I was a field engineer the times a day I had to dodge others stupidity. I had a 3 lane roundabout once the guy to my left just chopped the lot and hit me sideways and argued it was my fault for chopping lanes when I had a bus on my right, too many clowns on the road
At the end of the day its not as important with motability as its not your insurance as such but I’ve had a 50/50 situation before that was settled due to a dashcam and resulting in the offending motorcyclist getting charged and enjoying a free holiday. I doubt without the dashcam it would’ve happened.
Same with stuff like bash for cash its just proves you’re telling the truth, it’s like an insurance policy the covers your arse. No right or wrong answer to having one it’s personal choice but I really like having one gives you a little lift from anxiety I find.
February 21, 2025 at 7:29 pm #298131I must get round to putting my dash cam in. I mean get someone to do it!

That seems a good price, which dascam did you get and was it actually fitted by the dealership or factory fitted?

I didn’t order one. It was a Nextbase, not sure which model.
February 23, 2025 at 2:51 pm #298191I had a dash cam fitted by the main dealer, when I collected the car last Jan. It was a nextbase 322gw front and rear, the offer at the time was £150 inc fitting.
February 23, 2025 at 3:29 pm #298193I have a 622 and they’re brilliant.
Had a weird thing happen Friday, got a puncture so off I go to STS to get it fixed, of course it couldn’t be fixed so new tyre.
90 minutes of waiting in a cold waiting room for one tyre. Get in the car and dashboard lights up like Christmas tree.
Errors in drive train, no acc, no travel assist. Trued driving and car drove OK so decided I’d drive the 4 miles home and call RAC if necessary.
Tried everything off then on, lock and unlock the car, pulled the on board charger fuse etc nothing worked.
I was just filling in the RAC call out paperwork when I though I have a posh obd dongle obd link lx so plugged that in and read the codes.
I had motor has lost connection to ecu or some such.
So I thought I’ll clear the codes and see what happens, codes cleared and everything now working. So tyre change and the car spat the dummy over nothing, really weird.
Wonder what set that off? Glad I had a decent dongle to solve it myself, obviously if it had come back I’d have called it in immediately but as I was hoping it was a glitch and seems I was right. What a farce.

February 24, 2025 at 4:47 pm #298269And now I get another puncture in the new tyre…..
Why do Motability take soooooo long to authorise a tyre/repair what are they gonna do say no and leave the car immobile?
Honestly I could just cry from the stress and aggravation today
February 25, 2025 at 4:54 pm #298355Hi all, I know several people have an Enyaq and rave about them. so where better to get advice.
I test drove one today and experienced a couple of niggles, thoughts please.Im 6ft and not as bendy nowadays. So I needed the seat fairly low to allow me to bend my neck past door frame top. However, once in I needed the seat raising to see bonnet extremities, all ok until getting out, the seat automatically went back a bit which was good but I had to lower to clear my head on door frame, then faff about again when getting in next time.
Was I doing something wrong ? the salesman said I would have to repeat this every time. Not for me, my present Niro never needs seat touching from when I set it 3 years ago!
Also the Enyaq was really clunky over speed bumps and potholes, any thoughts?
It was great on motorway and had loads of toys. Also the new model which will be ordering in 2 days is same price as old model.
Incidentally , I sat in an Elroq before I left showroom and it was easier to get in and out of and had a good driving position for me.
I really wanted the Enyaq to impress after everything Ive read but tomorrow Im testing Ioniq 5 so heres hoping.

Its a faff but you could set memory 1 to your driving position and memory 2 as your entry/exit position.
Just press one but rather than keep moving chair manually, not sure if enyaq has the same options but on my ioniq 5 n line s you can choose to have the drivers chair move further back automatically when entering and exiting.
February 26, 2025 at 9:14 am #298397I also had a test drive of the Enyaq yesterday, it was nice, although we were stopped by the police …… the dealer had put the rear trade plate upside down, that aside, the officers were interested in the car and agreed with me that Skoda have come a long way in recent years.
So, I am now considering the car, lead time 13weeks ……….. don’t think I’ve ever waited more than a couple of weeks but it is what it is. If I was to order the car, Sportline, then the AP is £2299.00, has anybody managed to negotiate this amount down and what extras have you also managed to bag, used to be Mats, Flaps and a full tank on fuel. I think the only extras that I’m really keen on now would be front and rear dashcam together with the carpet mats.

When i went to the dealership recenty to have them look at the front disc’s,i was talking to the tech (and he is actually running a Enyak) i asked about being able to see tyre pressures on the info screen he said the car does not have tpms sensors (so no display) but the tyres are monitored by the ecu for pressure. It does this by continually checking the rolling diameter of the tyre, deflation causes the rolling diameter to get smaller so will trigger the tyre pressure deflation alert warning.
You know the old tyre on your car that is now paired up to a brand new one the same axle how many miles has it done ? did the kwik fit fitter check the tread depth on the remaining old tyre ?

Get you order in that will guarantee the AP even if it rises in Q2,if it drops in Q2 then ask the dealer (nicely) if they would drop the AP,my dealer did that without hesitation for me.
Regarding extra’s you can always ask, anyway the Enyak comes with carpet mats as standard, you might want to consider getting the rubber all weather mats which i have in the cabin and boot, genuine Skoda mats.
February 26, 2025 at 6:53 pm #298451Had my Enyaq since just before Christmas, done a little over 1200 miles and had fill the screenwash reservoir, disappointed to find the cap is not the funnel type – apparently this is optional skoda part 000 096 706

In terms of extras, I have an appointment in about 3 weeks to order our Enyaq MY25, I’m going to order the transport pack so that I can have a level boot floor to easily slide a wheelchair in and out on, and I’m tempted to go for the winter pack which adds a heated front windscreen. I currently have a Kuga PHEV, and find the heated windscreen really handy to demist the screen when driving and not have to use the blowers all the time.
February 26, 2025 at 10:00 pm #298462Can no longer order Enyaq MY25 unless they are in stock only MY26 if you get Sportsline plus has the variable boot floor as standard and no point with the heated screen just precondition from the app.

I thought MY25 was the facelift version? That’s what I meant anyway – the newest model.
Sportline is too expensive, AP on standard Edition 85 is £1299, transport pack is £300, winter pack is £450. so £2049 all in… sportline is £2299 so more expensive to start with.

February 27, 2025 at 12:38 am #298473Yes I have the next base hardwire kit with the piggyback fuse.
Remember that if anything happens to the car your options choices aren’t insured. Might not be worth it for some but the awd is really worth it the grip you get from it is incredible even on muddy C roads in winter and we really put it to the test as local road has been flooding since December due to a water leak that they fixed finally yesterday after I involved the media.
Anyway flooded C road thick mud everywhere and several inches of water across the entire road I didn’t lose grip once.
I thought about the boot floor stuff but I find it better without you get more room and there’s very little in it anyway plus you could easily add your own false floor with a little ply for much less money.
February 27, 2025 at 10:41 am #298480having now signed up with Motability, I have a meeting tomorrow lunch time with the Skoda dealer to place an order for the Sportlineplus. Just now looking at the Skoda price guide issue 3, the list is for the pre facelift model. I am almost sure that I’ve seen a price guide that listed the facelift model but I am unable to find it but I am almost certain that it included the Maxx package (Electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, Park assist), the electric front seat with memory would be very interesting and the park assist for the funnies … how small a space can you get it into? Can anybody confirm the inclusion or not of the Maxx package.
Thanks
February 27, 2025 at 11:13 am #298483Hi Xan123, I had a test drives this week in an Enyaq.
I was told all orders from tomorrow will definitely be facelift and no price increase over old model.
Don’t know about Max pack but dealer will have spec for new model.I would be very interested in your opinion on Enyaq after test drive, if you have time to upload your thoughts.
Regards, wonky
February 27, 2025 at 11:16 am #298486Xan123, The facelift enyaq option for the max pack is £1700 which includes, Park assist with remote park assist, Trained parking, Dynamic chassis Control, Electrically adjustable front seats (driver and passenger) with memory, Power-adjustable lumbar support for both front seats with massage feature, Illuminated Tech-Deck, Area view camera, Head-up display, Canton Sound System.
