Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

I have always had tesla so when going long distance I could always find a supercharger .
Just a little nervy about having to use public chargers if I need to, hence doubting the actual range of the 85x
It’s due in April, no extras as its just throwing your money away as its not yours.
It will be testing a tow bar but taken off when sold .
As long as I can do 230 miles max round trip 70mph ish without a charge ( not towing )
I will.let you know how much towing 1600kg 1700kg takes a toll on the range ?
Yes I know its over the towing capacity , but it’s advisory .
January 27, 2024 at 11:07 am #256474<p style=”text-align: left;”>If youvare looking at doing 230 miles round trip, you might gaveca proboemndoing that without charging especially at motorway speeds.</p>
If you look on the skoda website, in spring/autumn at motorway speeds, with family in normal, they estimate a range of 223 miles. You will suffer badly from range anxiety at least.
You can use some tesla superchargers now, and public charging us no big deal if you pkan ahead and use zap map or ABRP to check on if they are empty or occupied.
Most drivers on average in the UK only travel 40 miles per day.
I have added options, as I have had lease xwrs for over 25 years and see it as having the spec I want for the three years.

January 27, 2024 at 3:42 pm #256489Something to be aware if, on Facebook Enyaq forum, a private order, guy went in to order a Sportline 85x and was told order books for that car were closed currently, as too many orders have pushed leas tines well back.
IF this is correct, then it may be removed from the scheme very soon.

just been today at Škoda wings Peterborough and I’ve been told that waiting time for estate version is 28 weeks and for coupe 20 weeks.
I had drive test today and wow. Love it ! Nowy we need to make a decision which model we will go with … that’s not gonna be easy I must admit ?January 27, 2024 at 5:15 pm #256495Super glad I got my order in 30th December now was quoted around 16 weeks then.
No way I’ll be allowed a hire car 28 weeks that’d mean leaving the scheme until it arrives. I’m getting an order update on 8th Feb from the dealer
January 27, 2024 at 5:52 pm #256499Ordered my Enyaq Coupe 85X Sportline Plus on 27th December. The estimated delivery date is still 26th May. I’ve not had a factory order confirmation yet, as far as I know, hopefully the dealer will let me know a more definite date once he has one!

January 27, 2024 at 11:43 pm #256515I was just wondering- is it possible to have a car for let’s say 24h test drive so we could check evening drive etc ? We hade now 2h appointment but I was wondering is next time I would be able to have a car for a longer to check it properly including evening drive.

You can ask but with the shortage of stock, majority of dealerships are very reluctant to let them go for longer than a few hours. If you’ve already had a 2 hour test drive, they may be willing to let you take it for longer to seal the deal but I wouldn’t expect so.
January 28, 2024 at 6:52 am #256517Had one for half a day – 4/5 hours but that was a second drive and as MS7 says, it is dealer specific.
January 28, 2024 at 7:08 am #256518Ordered Sportline Plus 85x last November, factory just accepted order on Tuesday, no build date allocated yet, dealer reckons it could be May before I get it ☹️

I will have to ask as my dealer has 3 or 4 of them atm. We could easily choose if we want to drive estate or coupe. So hopefully as they have more than one in stock and for test drive they will let us have it for few hours
January 28, 2024 at 9:54 am #256526Finally bit the bullet yesterday and ordered a 85x sportline plus coupe in velvet red. Dealer says 20 weeks wait time with delivery expected in June. Didn’t have to pay the full price for the red paint just the difference as I was about to order graphite grey until he said that. The guy reckoned he’s been inundated with Enyaq orders since the start of the year.

Is the Motability free metallic paint on all cars still £600 ? so if you opt for an “exclusive” colour like the gorgeous velvet red the dealer deducts the £600 from the £1050 and you are leable for the difference ?

I think they’ve charged me just over £300 for the special paint that’s normally over £1k.
January 28, 2024 at 11:30 am #256536I asked my dealer if we could do that and he said no.
When the bill comes though they will have to pay the full amount as motability won’t pay them the £600
My dealer had done that in the past and been stung with the difference.
He won’t be doing that many times
I wanted red so opted for white

Interesting! Did his nose grow why he was telling you that!
Even Motability say you can choose metallic and premium paint options might cost extra ontop.
January 28, 2024 at 11:56 am #256538I said that to him . His response was , they had done it in the past as it seamed logical , but when it came to it mostabilit wouldn’t pay.
I will call motability tomorrow to confirm this and let you know whether they say.
Either way you will get what you orderd and the dealer will end up paying the diference, apparently.
January 28, 2024 at 12:55 pm #256542My dealer said the same thing. If I wanted Velvet Red, I would have to pay the full amount for it (£1k) and NOT the difference between regular metallic and the premium.
He said they had tried that in the past, but Motability wouldn’t pay so the dealer had to. ‘That was an expensive mistake”, he told me.
However, when I went to see the Renault Megane e-tech, the dealer confidently said “All paint colours are included with Motability, even the premium”.
Let us know what happens!

Oh you should definitely ask, yes. Nothing to lose.
Would you be able to charge the demo car at yours? Do you have a charger at your residence? If so, you could ask to see how well the Enyaq goes with your setup overnight. If you don’t have a charger, make it clear you’d bring it back charged up (public charger or granny plug), so they don’t have to worry about car being undriveable for other customers.
Good luck.
January 28, 2024 at 2:14 pm #256544My dealer told me exactly the sane thing with the red paint. Having paid out just over £2000 for the Advanced pack (waste of money!) I couldn’t justify another £1000 for the red. Really wish I’d got the red instaead of the pack 🙁
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 28, 2024 at 2:20 pm #256546I was about to order the grey but thought I would just ask the question and after what people on here have said was surprised at his answer. He was saying that retail sales have virtually ground to a halt and almost all their business recently has been Motability.
January 28, 2024 at 2:26 pm #256547I’m just waiting for the inevitable moment when I am reminded about just how insanely fast a black car goes from freshly cleaned to in desperate need of another washing.
I chose black mainly because I wasn’t keen on how the black sportline badging looked on every other colour except maybe white but the current Tiguan is white and I wanted a change.

January 28, 2024 at 2:46 pm #256551I visited a Skoda dealer last Wednesday who was quite rude when I mentioned Motability. I might have caught him on a bad day or he didn’t need Motability customers, so this morning I tried another Skoda dealer who was a lot better, a cup of tea and a cupcake better. Anyway I speced the car up and asked about paint, two colours, Arctic silver metallic £ 660 and the velvet red £1’045 . The Arctic silver is free and the red is £385 on Motability. In was exactly the same with Nissan, metallic is free and I paid the difference for pearl.
