Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Well Phaedra fingers crossed yours is on the way with mine. Pretty sure we ordered the same day. The dealer pulled my order up today and it was a Code 30 so left the factory. The dealer is not overly proactive with updates but anytime I ask they are very good.
January 3, 2024 at 1:11 am #253552I’m going to take a run out to another dealership tomorrow to see if they have any 85s in the show room.
A quick look on the skoda website shows a total of 2 85x sportlines in the country so you probably won’t see one but the 80 to 85 is motor, battery and software so even if you can only see an 80 it’ll give you a very accurate idea. Test drives too, yes the 85x has a touch more power than the 80x but everything else should be utterly comparable.
On another note, I have ordered a black 85x estate last week purely because of the blacked out look. Really fancied the sport blue but didn’t like the look of the black badges on the blue. Would have looked OK on white too but currently in a white tiguan so wanted a change.

January 3, 2024 at 6:25 am #253554Also the seats in the VRS are the same as the the sportline, just with a different covering, so between an 80 edition and a VRS, you should be able to piece together what the 85x sportline looks like
January 3, 2024 at 11:05 am #253577Yeah folks that’s what the salesman said yesterday. Basically apart from software and grille it’s pretty much the same. Mind the one in the showroom was a basic model.
Shaun that’s what I’m interested in the seats. I’m waiting on another dealer to call back now to see what’s in their showroom.
<p style=”text-align: center;”>Would the seats in any new vrs be the same as sportline? If so I could get an idea from a different car, although if it’s a say superb which is a car the same seats might feel different in a higher suv.</p>January 3, 2024 at 11:14 am #253581I don’t know if seats would be the same across different models, due to cabin size etc.
January 3, 2024 at 12:15 pm #253600I am taking an 80 out tomorrow on a test drive, ironically straight after an Ioniq 5 which is my other preferred option. I have been told the seats in the 80 will be the same as an 85 Edition and they have a Sportline Kodiaq in that I can have a sit/play in that will have the same seats as an 85X Sportline.
Have to say, so far both sales people I am dealing with have been excellent. Attentive and very knowledgeable.
January 3, 2024 at 2:32 pm #253636Just had email from my local skoda dealer
Build date of my car is week 6 of this year
What does this mean exactly please?
Confirmed 85 sportline coupe, ordered 80 sportline
January 3, 2024 at 2:42 pm #253637Can’t be a Sportline, that trim is no longer produced, only the Sportline Plus which is a 4 wheel drive (85x). There were a few odd Sportlines produced during the changeover in October but more than likely with it being made now it’ll be an 85 Edition.
Week 6 is the 6th week of 2024 so around Feb 5th, should be shipped and in the UK a few weeks after.
If it was me I’d cancel it and go for a standard Enyaq “Estate” version, the lack of a rear wiper on the coupe and massive difference in the AP now between the Estate and Coupe versions would make it a non-starter.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
January 3, 2024 at 3:02 pm #253641Thanks Phaedra
Sorry its the 85 sportline plus, correct. I forgot to add the plus ?
January 3, 2024 at 3:30 pm #253648Well just ordered my Enyaq 85 edition in race blue with loft interior. After the £750 new car payment and the remaining £250 of good condition bonus it is only costing me £499. If that
s not a bargain I don
t know what is. I was quoted 20 week lead time.January 3, 2024 at 3:36 pm #253651Just seen they are listing the L&K model on the Skoda uk website available to order from 10th Jan. Doesn’t affect us on MB just yet but its interesting none the less.
January 3, 2024 at 5:36 pm #253682Build weeks seem quite random. I ordered an 80x sportline plus near the start of October. Some people have been quoted week 48 etc but I was told yesterday that mine is week 10 and I should receive it in April. That will be 6 months from ordering. I’m still waiting for the correct model to be updated on the Motability account.

In my opinion that sounds more like the dealer held off placing the order with Skoda until the 85 Motability pricing came through at the end of November/start of December – that would bring it in-line with the pretty standard 16-20 weeks lead time.
January 3, 2024 at 6:24 pm #253697As above, I know my dealer certainly didn’t place my order straight away but when I rang to ask if it was too late to add the Advanced pack he said it was no problem as the factory hadn’t even accepted the order yet. Took about 7 to 8 weeks to get a build week allocated.

January 3, 2024 at 8:44 pm #253720My order was accepted by the factory within a day or two of the order being placed but still took weeks to get a build date.
January 3, 2024 at 10:19 pm #253731Thanks for that. About 2 weeks after ordering, I’d been advised that the factory had accepted the order but on two further occasions, advised that there was still no build date. I’m just glad that I’m still getting a car but intrigued as to why it’s week 10. My thoughts were that the order wasn’t put through until later but they assured me that it was accepted at the factory almost immediately whilst the model change confusion took place. I’ll be even happier when I see the correct car showing on the motability system, hopefully at the new lower price.
January 3, 2024 at 10:37 pm #253733If it’s week 10 then it will def. be the newer model.
Production changed over last year at week 44 (Oct 30-Nov 5th) a few Sportline and 85 models were put through during the changeover period but everything from then onwards has been the new models, 60, 60 Edition, 85 Edition, 85x Sportline Plus and vRS. For the Coupe 85 Edition and 85x Sportline Plus.

January 4, 2024 at 10:18 am #253763Has anyone bought & fitted one of these dashcams?
They look straight forward to fit, just piggyback the rain sensor connection. The video on Youtube is in Spanish but I think it looks easy enough. They come in the two colours too to match the headlining.

Your not allowed to fit anything that is considered a modification to the car. That includes hard wiring a dash cam stuck to your windscreen never mind one built into the car.
You are only allowed to run a dash cam off an accessory socket.
January 4, 2024 at 2:50 pm #253811I can’t understand why manufacturer’s don’t fit them as standard anyway. Most modern cars have cameras fitted anyway so it would only be a case of expanding that system & I would have thought the cost would be minimal! Maybe it will happen in the future!

January 4, 2024 at 3:26 pm #253818Probably they don’t fit them because of the current class action lawsuit in the US against Tesla for spying on their clients, stealing recordings and passing them around. I think one example was of someone having conjugal relations in the car.
Tesla not the only one think it was Nissan that reserved the right to process any and all data about you including your sexuality and sell it accordingly.

As for dashcam if just stick with a Nextbase model I have a 622gw and it’s excellent.
My Skoda dealer just called me, said I noticed the price went down so I reordered your car for so that’s £400 in your pocket, Happy New Year. What great service, I mean I was gonna ask anyway but he beat me to it
January 4, 2024 at 4:55 pm #253834That’s great news about your discount, it sounds like your dealer is clued up!
The estimated delivery date for my Sportline plus coupe has just been put back to the 24th May. Ordered it on 27th Dec. Hopefully I’ll get a firmer date when the factory confirms the order.

Is this really true?
Front & rear dash cams (NextBase hardwired) are safety devices, and have been used in evidence of non-fault insurance claims (through Motability insurance).
There are far too many idiots on the road who have no insurance, to not have a dash cam…

But sports seats would be a slight be frimer I’d imagine. They’d no Enyaqs in the showroom at all but the rep was driving one and bought it around the front for us to look at.
It was dark so it was nice to see the ambient lighting etc.
Other half wouldn’t even get in as she said it was stinking lol
Another thing about the coupe and lack of blind for the pano roof. I’m nearly bald and on my way back I pulled the blind of the konas sun roof open several times, my head is about 5 inches away from it and every time I opened it I instantly felt the cold from it. What would it be like with that big glass roof.

Some sort of hat would be in order then?!??
Kind regards
