Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Yea I had showed that table to the dealer who questioned was that originally from skoda as he knew nothing about it. He was pretty certain there is no such thing as an 85 base model and that mines would be upgraded to the 85 edition. Think he is reluctant to check as he feels certain
December 18, 2023 at 10:38 pm #251765@Houndog6105 I find it amazing that so many dealers are so clueless. 100% will not be an 80 unless they’re taking it from imaginary stock. It’ll be an 85 Sportline Plus. Mine was ordered as an 80SL+, now confirmed as built as an 85SL+, but still showing as 80SL+ on Motability account. I can’t see the Motability side changing as there is no non-X model on Motability.
Hi Nathan
Yes i believe this is the case and I’m not fussed either way to be honest if it’s the 80 or the 85
Just odd that the dealer can’t confirm this to me
December 18, 2023 at 10:43 pm #251766@Houndog6105 my dealer’s system also showed mine as an 80 until the week it was actually built, then he could see on his system that it was showing as an 85. Prior to this my dealer also couldn’t confirm mine would be changed to 85. Once built they should confirm as an 85.

I see.. Yeah that makes sense
Just out of interest can i ask when you ordered your skoda please?
December 18, 2023 at 10:48 pm #251769@peter123 there is also no such thing as an 85 Sportline Plus (non-X), but that’s what mine has been built as!
December 18, 2023 at 10:50 pm #251770Think I’m just going to have to wait and see what model arrives. It was due to be built last week arriving start of January. Will let you all know what arrives for anyone else in a similar scenario
December 18, 2023 at 10:50 pm #251771@Houndog6105 13th September, built week 49. So approximately 12 weeks between order and production.
December 18, 2023 at 10:58 pm #251773Mine was ordered Sept. 6th, also build week 49, I had a call from my dealer confirming that it would be an 85x about 10 days ago.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
December 18, 2023 at 11:05 pm #251774@Houndog6105 Ok thanks
So approximately 1 month before i ordered mine then
If you was to estimate, when do you think i could be looking at getting a build date possibly?
December 18, 2023 at 11:12 pm #251775Depends on what build slots the dealer had availble from Skoda.
I’d ask the dealer to show you the order screen, it should show the date they actually placed the order, when it was accepted by the factory and what build week it was then assigned.

December 22, 2023 at 2:09 pm #252054That’s mine ordered, black 85x sportline with a surprisingly short eta. Went in expecting 6-7 months to be told provably 3-4.
Probably about the easiest sale ever for the Salesman. Order already started and approved on motas system, I want this car, this colour, no options. Nice and uncomplicated for him.
Now to see what Q1 brings and find out I should have waited a couple more weeks

December 23, 2023 at 9:21 am #252117I’m going next week to order mine but just need to check that the Sportline seats are easy enough for me to transfer into. The non-sport line version was ok, so I suspect it will be fine.
December 23, 2023 at 10:17 am #252123Just to clarify, for new factory orders the “Sportline” is no longer made, there’s the 60, 60 Edition, 85 Edition or 85x Sportline Plus. There’s also the vRS and L&K but those aren’t on the Motability scheme.

December 23, 2023 at 11:53 am #252135Nanasrob71,
A good idea as the Sportline/VRS seats are different to the Edion seats.
The Sportlibe seats have a higher side bolster than the non sports versions, so they may be more difficult to get in or out of
December 23, 2023 at 12:42 pm #252139I found the Sportline plus seats a lot more comfortable than the standard ones too having tried both
December 23, 2023 at 12:51 pm #252140For easier access the 85 Edition has the standard seats without the larger side bolsters on the 85x Sportline Plus version.

December 23, 2023 at 12:57 pm #252142Hi Phaedra, that what exactly my point. I’ve sat in an 80 which wasn’t too hard to get in, but need to try the Sportline to see if I can comfortably get in witht he sports seats.
Thankfully the seats are the same in the new models (85 and 85x) coming up, so I don’t have to wait for an 85x to appear at a showroom. Here’s hoping they’ll be easy!
December 23, 2023 at 6:09 pm #252169The 85x is the Sportline Plus with the Sportline seats, they’re not the same as the 85 Edition seats.

December 23, 2023 at 6:20 pm #252170Thanks, yes I know. Im just not explaining myself correctly.
I have sat in the ‘Edition’ seats (currently the 80) and they were fine, I just need to try the sports seats (in the 80x/85x, Sportline Plus etc).
Just to be clear, I want to try the sports seats to see if I can get into them as easily as the comfort seats.
Does anyone have experience of both?

Hi,
Yes, I’ve tried the Sportline(80) electric drivers seat with it’s bucket sides and the comfort spec electric seat in November. Although, the 85 range models weren’t in the showroom, I was assured by the dealer that they would be the same as the options available for the 85 models. I personally didn’t like the bucket seat version as it was uncomfortable getting into the car and made it tricker to shuffle into position. For that reason I ordered the 85 Edition(come with comfort seat). Hopefully, when received it will be reflective of the electric seat I could try before ordering.
Hopefully you will find the best fit for you!

Not really my style to mess people about if it is at all possible. On the off-chance the AP drops I’ll ask them to match the new AP but cancellation isn’t really on the cards unless my landlord says no to the charger install. Going to wait till the new year to ask, no point chancing catching him busy with Christmas stuff to ask a question which can easily wait a week or so.

After reading that I read the article just under it. The long term BZ4X test and it has put me right off it tbh.
December 25, 2023 at 10:36 pm #252320Put you off which?
I’m not very impressed with the BZ4X/Soltana, very basic and only 2wd
