This is the place for reasoned comment or questions about Brexit …. Posts must stay respectful at all times even when we believe that other posters are wrong.

brydoWigwam I would love to see your face after a general election where corbyn is the PM. The chat on this thread has been almost cocky from the brexiteers about how big the Tories win will be at the next election, let’s see.
October 27, 2019 at 3:51 pm #93841Brydo, perhaps you need to see your GP and get the dosage reduced. You’ve drifted too far into fantasy land!
October 27, 2019 at 4:23 pm #93845Brydo, Labour should win after nearly an era of Conservative led ups and downs. If Corbyn wasn’t the party leader I would put money on a new Labour government after the GE.
I’m positive that won’t be the outcome though, because voters are afraid (terrified?) of putting Corbyn into Number 10.

brydoI don’t think there is any chance of an outright labour victory but corbyn would be the PM in any coalition government. Its clear the opposition parties will be talking about an election pact and with BJ and Farage at each others throat’s, anything could happen.
October 27, 2019 at 4:40 pm #93851No-one would go into coalition with Corbyn.
October 27, 2019 at 4:46 pm #93852
brydoOf course it doesn’t need to be corbyn, BJ will likely have first bite at the cherry but as long as there is no Tory majority (with BJ as their leader) I will be happy.
October 27, 2019 at 4:49 pm #93854You won’t be happy.

brydoThis scenario above brings us squarely back to would this be fair on the English people. It is likely there will be very few, if any, Tory MPs in Scotland, so the SNP could have maybe 45+ MPs in Parliament which produces a hung Parliament when the English people have voted for a Tory government.
October 27, 2019 at 5:12 pm #93862Latest prediction Conservative majority of 58:

October 27, 2019 at 7:04 pm #93900As we enter what could be of final few days in the EU I gave been reflecting on the benefits we have derived from said membership which has convinced me beyond any doubt whatsoever the UK public used their common sense in voting to leave the EU. Why have we not left yet? Because of our MP’s and their delusional attitudes. This phrase from a lesser known voice sums it up perfectly ” if you say you want to go and you vote to go then you must go and anyone who says you cannot go must themselves go”. As this well known phrase applies to our so called members of parliament they themselves need to go, and go now.

October 28, 2019 at 8:54 am #94033October 28, 2019 at 9:37 am #94038We shall see what develops today. I expect some developments. We may develop a better understanding of the EU position as they have been developing some options, they wanted more but these needed further development and to be able to develop them in time was an issue. Other developments include a GE where conflicting plans developed have proved useful but need further development, to be fully developed.
October 28, 2019 at 9:38 am #94039It appears an extension to Jan 31st 2020 has been agreed by the EU, developing news.
October 28, 2019 at 9:40 am #94040We await, breath bated, commons vote on GE 12/12/19 or 9/12/19. Which way will it go? More excitement.
October 28, 2019 at 9:41 am #94041And so we lurch on..
October 28, 2019 at 9:45 am #94043Yes extension agreed will there be pm question time Wednesday wigwam ?
