Thanks for the replies, all. I got a call from Enterprise a couple of hours after completing the claim form. The guy on the phone was surprised when I said that I need an automatic with hand controls, had to go talk to his manager and then said that they’d need to source one from a third party… No call back on Friday so I’ll chase them on Monday. Thanks for the tips for chasing via DLM, they’ll be my first contact on Monday.
Unfortunately it looks like Skoda don’t offer the ecosuite interior trim on the Enyaq any more, so I’d have to settle for some dull dreary black thing unless they happen to have one in stock.
Good news is that the police have charged the 88(!) year old driver, and will be contacting the DVLA with the suggestion that his license is revoked. I’ve signed a statement, as has the chap who was following the other driver down the road – the guy didn’t even brake, he just flew straight out into the crossroads as if he was on the through-road instead of the side road. May have to attend court.
Bad news is that my crutches are bent and my power wheelchair keeps switching off and gets hot. Not good. I’m going to have to chase via DLM’s legal cover, I think. I can see me ending up several thousand pounds out of pocket over this. Money I don’t have.
Keep waking up from nightmares about the impact as well.
I’m Incredibly lucky to have not suffered much worse injuries. Paramedics said that they approached the car from the front and expected me to be stretchered away if not worse.
9.50am Still no car options showing whilst using Android phone.

You get nothing when you click that link?
Right this is bizarre. There’s no way the same website is showing different content for some over others. So got my thinking cap on and decided to search on my iPad instead of phone. Something I’ve never did, and right enough the estates are there but only up the 132kw 60 edition 5dr auto lounge at £699 My phone is still not showing any Enyaqs.
If you google ‘motability enyaq’ the first two results are:
With the first resolving to https://www.motability.co.uk/whats-available/cars/
And the second resolving to https://www.motability.co.uk/find-a-vehicle/cars/search-results/skoda-enyaq/
Interestingly the URL for the first link is actually https://www.motability.co.uk/find-a-vehicle/cars/search-results/skoda-enyaq/https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.motability.co.uk/find-a-vehicle/cars/search-results/skoda-enyaq-estate/&ved=2ahUKEwjX8Yvx4s6DAxVk_rsIHRQCBk4QFnoECBsQAQ&usg=AOvVaw17thShNqQkp_QDPtZc_M9M so my instinct is that during an update the URL for the Enyaq page was renamed, as the second link points to the correct https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.motability.co.uk/find-a-vehicle/cars/search-results/skoda-enyaq/&ved=2ahUKEwjX8Yvx4s6DAxVk_rsIHRQCBk4QFnoECBwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0SaOYY_9yv5t04kXYnO1m_
What are the lead times for installation of your home charging point? Fairly quick or very much dependent on your postcode?
Not really an issue if you’re ordering something that takes three months to turn up but my local MG dealer reckons 2-4 weeks for an MG4 and no charging point means pointless car.
There’s a fair bit of new tech lined up for release to public over the next few years. Unfortunately we lost John B. Goodenough last year who was still pushing things forward but his team are still working.
Estate variants are all showing fine for me.
I’m currently looking for my First Motability car, and the Enyaq is on the list for me… Anyone who already has one able to confirm whether you can fully switch off the traction control? Live in the sticks and TC interfering on sloppy farm mud spread deep across the roads is frankly dangerous – turning it off and being gentle with the throttle is the safest way to get through it.
