Make sure you post some pics of it inside and out 🙌🏻

and don’t worry, if I do scoop that Euro Millions you and Mrs B can pack your “trunk” and pick the Spanish Villa of your choice 🙌🏻

have a great ( or as great as possible ) Crimbo & NY mate

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>Good to hear that 👍🏻

yeah I’m safe and well thanks! for the first time in my life it actually pays to be a complete germophobe , apocalypse fearing , weirdo hermit 🙌🏻 So the measures you see people taking now is pretty how much I live my life 😷

As for the Rona, some family members had it and weren’t great at one point but thankfully all pulled through, sadly not the case for thousands more eh 👎🏻

I guess it’s like anything when you read the same comments and opinions time after time and day after day you get bored , and sometimes frustrated and rather than let it affect you it’s best just to walk away 🙃

I never did win that Euro Millions lottery, but I still play the same number me , you and Trev picked out ( most unluckiest numbers ever btw ) 🤣

Over the past month or so I’ve logged in and read some of forum at 4am when I’ve counted the last of my sheep And if I’m correct I understand you’re about to collect your new motor shortly? Excited for the big day?

Nice to see you Mike, I hope you’re keeping well along with the other Stalwarts of the forum 🙌🏻

You’ve just answered your own question there,

Regardless of his or your opinion and reasons on what you “believe” to be better the car ( which is laughable at best btw )

The tone, smugness and downright rudeness shown by him towards other members and their car choices in what he has posted would in my book 100% qualify him for an Arsehole ( and I’m being polite )

    That’s the issue I addressed

Good luck with 30% reduction in power and cheap and scratchy door pockets. Audi have cut a lot of cornerns with the new A3. One thing I have learned is that after a month or so of having owned a car and played with all its gadgets etc, the only thing that makes the car still desirable is the performance. Just think…If your GTD didn’t have all that torque that shoves you back in your seat, it would just be an R Line version of the Golf. What makes these cars (GTD, Leon 184, Octavia VRS, A220d) stand out from all other similar looking models is the tarmac shredding torque that comes with them. But, hey…It’s your choice at the end of the day. <p style=”text-align: center;”>Enjoy your new bog standard 150 bhp motor.

I haven’t commented in about a year, and I don’t plan on making a comeback

but this guy here is a complete Arsehole

Just noticed the Audi A4 black edition has disappeared from the scheme

As much as it a fine looking and top quality motor , I did think the AP was pretty expensive and not that disabled friendly

but it was still good to see it on the scheme as it was another option

I remember when the first puma was released with the cool advert and accompanying tune

I must have just turned 20ish or something , I thought they looked great! A million times better than my pals rust bucket fiestas and Novas!

this was obviously long before the days of LED everything , bags of tech at your finger tips and sharp/aggressive styling

actually saw one last month! It’s actually aged worse than me lol

but that new one looks good, and I’m sure will be popular!

It’s entirely up to you what you do, and you know your own mind

But there is absolutely zero risk using a tool like OBD11

You’re not remapping the car or turning it into Knight Rider, you might be scared off from it with all the jargon from ur dealer, vw and mota

But if you have the car you want, and want an end to all this malarky then I think it’s the way to go

Remember if you did it via OBD11 it’s not permanent, you can change it back to standard whenever you want

Anyways that’s just my opinion, but I think you’re worrying over nothing

If It were me I’d get it done privately whether it is someone on here, someone on a forum etc and be done with it and move on to many years of happy motoring

You’ve tried official channels and this it’s like the houses of Parliament, 10 different people get involved which result in 10 different outcomes

If you decide to get the key coded and did this, no one is ever going to search for it whenever it goes in for a service, repair, Mot etc

It’s never going to flag up as it’s so irrelevant

I did the exact same to my previous car, and myself and lots of others have no doubt tweaked lots of different things on the cars using OBD11 etc

So I wouldn’t be scared to go down this route

I’d just say thanks for your help, do what you want and keep it to yourself

Don’t be scared of the big bad wolf

Wise words and I’m glad your son paid attention!

I’m sure we’ve all been stung there once before or know someone very close to us who has

I’ve been going to a fair few dealerships with a friend recently who changes her mind more than the Scottish climate does!

But it doesn’t matter what Arnold Clark branch I go to, I just get a horrible vibe off the place the min I roll in

And have this uncontrollable urge to smack the “advisor” with my one of my crutches when he starts to talk ???

I’ve got OBD11 and I did the throttle response yesterday, I can notice the difference so that’s a good one to do

    I did a few other things I did c

Rear Drls are now on during the day

Activated the option to turn all Drls off I want

Activated the colour ambient lighting ( only on the Aid and little border on the infotainment screen )

Changed the theme on the Aid a few times between R, GTI etc, current have it on GTI

I activated the needle sweep and even though it said it was successful it doesn’t sweep when I start the car, no big deal but it would nice to have

Handy bits of kit to have for 50 bucks

So I’ll be testing out that then double click method

    Much appreciated! ??

    Just a wee update…

So I nipped outside there when it’s dark and low and behold the white background lighting is on

I checked on the main screen and it shows background lighting Off, clicking it toggles the lights on and off but it is always displayed as Off

Must be some conflict with having the 30 colour ambient lighting activated, but that’s nothing to worry about as the both work fine

Just coudnt test the background lighting today during the day obviously

So All good in the hood!

I’ve saw a Russian tiguan where the guy has installed the multi colour version of the lights we have and it looks fab

But it involves a lot of faffing about, faffing that’s above my level of expertise lol

I’ve got one thing that it’ll try tonight when it’s dark and see how I get on

So I’ll report back with an update

Ha those were the days! I remember when I got a mk5 gti I did the same but got the brightest smd bulbs I could find for the interior ,( went through a few fuses aswell ) and the big switch on had the effect of staring at the sun after an eclipse!

Absolutely blinding lol, what a tube I looked ?

    Hi,

I was just in the car using OBD11 on it for the first time

I activated the ambient colours, I tried the 10 and 30

Its a nice option to have even if its only on your AID and slight border on the main infotainment display, but I noticed when you activate it that it turns of your background lighting

Have you activated the colour ambient lighting and if so is there a way around losing the background lighting?

    If you know?

    Cheers
