Hiyah Folks šš»
been an age since I was last on here and now Iām posting twice in the same Day!!
So as the title says Iām looking for some info on the above car currently available on the scheme.
i have the F56 John Cooper Works in the Premium Plus Trim level
So Mini have no renamed their trim levels to be called Class 1,2 and 3
However on the MB there is no mention of the Trim Level / Class Level
In all the other adverts the Class Level is clearly listed
Someone mustāve forgot to add this relevant piece of info
have spoken to MB earlier today regarding something else , I did ask this same question but they didnāt know and ask me to contact the Dealer which I have and waiting for a reply ( as you do )
So Iām just asking if anyone has looked into this particular car on offer at the moment and has that missing but crucial piece of inflrmation
thanks in advance

Iām afraid that I canāt answer your question Winston, but I just wanted to say itās good to have you back!
January 17, 2026 at 12:58 am #332354Hi
on the mini configuration tool, the mini 3 door John cooper works is a stand alone model, when you look at the options, it seems level 1, is part of John cooper works model, level 2 is £1300, level 3 is an eye watering £3,800.
hope this helps, Ā level 2 seems to be worth it.
Cheers, all the very best
Vaun
January 17, 2026 at 1:21 am #332356hi winston,
as vaun says mini have changed the way the cars are designated the jcw is stand alone now and on the mini model screen youu select jcw which brings up all the jcw models cooper, aceman and countryman.
then the styles is sport which automatically gets you level one pack. if you want level 2 £1300 level 3 3800.
hope that helps
good to have you back.
January 17, 2026 at 5:25 pm #332413@winston, sorry if this is granny teaching you to suck eggs, ive checked the mini site.
on the mini home screen select models and configorator at the top.
then on left hand menu select jcw below the individual models.
the screen that then comes up accross to the right select configure this mini.
5 individual jcw’s will come up 4th one along is the cooper select this.
then your into the usual configoration system the style is automatically sport as its jcw.
pick your colours and interior any stripes etc.
then its your packs, level 1 is inclded as standard the rest are options.
its a phaff for jcw now.
January 17, 2026 at 10:13 pm #332420Hey folks
thanks for the replies
Oh believe me Ive built about 6 different JCWās already
im not sure if yous remember the options available 3 years ago? I can barely remember what I had for dinner last night lol
so my model F56 came with a lot of kit as you can imagine, the 2 trim levels available were Premium & Premium Plus. Which are now called Ā Class 2 & Class 3 those packs are still the same price
If i remember correctly the JCW  Advance Payment including  The Premium Pack was £3000
With the Premium Plus Pack it was £3500
it was fantastic value getting a pack worth £3800 for £500
so thatās all I was looking to find out
the dealer came back to me this evening and at this this time they are only offering 1 JCW configuration and that with Level 1
to me thatās disappointing, even though as standard it comes with good kit I like the toys and things to figure out that others donāt like
i could live with level 2 but Iām not prepared to pay the best part of Ā£5.5k
as we know with Motability the cars and offers can change quickly and not just every quarter.
its one of those MB dilemmas do you wait and see if they ad on a more attractive package and run the risk of it dropping off completely.
atleast for today im happy to wait it out. But ill be checking that Motability website daily š¤£
so thanks again for the replies , if I do uncover any updates Iāll certainly post them
Thanks Glos, very kind words.. I hope you and the family are happy and well, same with you Mitch and the rest of the guys
Iāll be popping on more often
hope u all have a great weekend
cheers

Make melonade!January 17, 2026 at 10:49 pm #332425Whilst I have no idea about Minis in particular, I would say that this year isn’t going to be a fun one. We’re still expecting the VAT to be applied to APs from July and you’ll have to assume that’s not on the potential list for U-Turns.Ā Thus what currently is Ā£3,799 would then become Ā£4,558 if everything else stayed as it is.Ā Also, it’s a specialist car, which has been labeled as not being of Motability’s core offering, which has often resulted in being withdrawn. I’d not want to initiate anyone’s anxiety but I was surprised to see the JCW appear and I’d be even more surprised if it lasted the year.
I'm Autistic, if I say something you find offensive, please let me know, I can guarantee it was unintentional.
I'll try to give my honest opinion but am always open to learning.Mark

I agree with every word. Very sound advice. With the way that Motability is going, a car like the Mini JCW is an outlier and ripe for removal. Even if it stays, as you rightly say, the AP will most likely jump significantly in July when 20% VAT plus Insurance Premium Tax gets dropped on to APs.
January 17, 2026 at 11:17 pm #332427Thanks guys I appreciate those responses, I had always thought that after this current car F56 JCW I would go to back to that trusty old Tiguan or explore and maybe look at some Hyundai/Kia as they look interesting š§. Itās only when I saw the new JCW appear I thought Iād find out more. Itās not that much of a big deal if I canāt make it work for me. I love the current car I have , itās very quirky youāll either love it or hate it.
if anything relevant pops up Iāll post it on here
Shame things on MB arenāt as rosey now as they once were , but i guess thatās more of a countrywide issue rather than a specific MB one
thanks again, much appreciated

Make melonade!January 18, 2026 at 8:50 am #332433I would not be able to bend down to get in the JCW lol
But I am considering the more powerful 309/313bhp E countryman
A steal at £1349
Hope its still there in April
January 18, 2026 at 12:53 pm #332452I can’t see the Mini JCW being removed anytime soon. Motability want to promote British-built cars they said recently after all the media hysteria – and you can’t get anywhere more British than Oxford.

True, but there are dozens of Miniās that would satisfy the āMotability customers canāt have a fun carā brigade. I hope that you are correct, but I can see the JCW version being axed the second that someone queries why the JCW version is more suitable for disabled people than lesser variants. Letās face it, they removed very sensible family cars like the Enyaq Coupe, just because it is called a coupe. Thatās the crazy world that we are now in š¤

I love the new Honda Prelude full hybrid coupe – a car that would have been at the very top of my list a year from now when re-order time comes around. Alas, it’s a ‘coupe’ – a filthy, banned & triggering word in Motability HQ these days – so no chance of it now appearing on the scheme – alas.
January 19, 2026 at 2:22 am #332490It might have been discussed or mentioned before but I remember flicking channels a few weeks ago on budget day and just caught the⦠cough cough āchancellorās swipe at MB which only lasted about 1 minute but it contained a part that went something along the lines ofā¦
It wasnāt set up so people could go along and pick up the keys to their new Mercedes BenzFollowed by a lot of MPās Shouting, Cheering & Stamping Feet
So wrong on so many levels, to me a clear indication of desperately looking for votes regardless of the division and ramifications it would cause
If you can turn 1 very large group of Voters ie The Working Class against a much smaller group Us aka Motability Customers and create a narrative of unfairness that we are used to seeing from the Daily Mail then thereās a good chance a lot of that big group of people who are unhappy and looking to blame someone are gonna vote for you
Deflect Deflect Deflect and weāre an easy target.
Not a lot suprises me these days, but that was very very poor.
MB and its customers are not the reason this Country is in the state itās in.
Coupe, Convertible and the Big 3 German Brands all of a sudden dirty words, but if you can afford the AP you can drive away in car worth well over Ā£50k but no basic Audi A1 thatās worth half that š¤¦š»āāļø
they talk about banning social media for under 16ās. I think they should ban it for over 18s So we can all go back to a time of common sense, respect, morality and not giving a care in the world what anyone else thinks
if it doesnāt affect you then keep your mouth shut
and youāll be glad thatās exactly what Iām gonna do now lol.
goodnight š“

Make melonade!January 19, 2026 at 2:20 pm #332674We have ordered the Mini E Countryman Monochrome at Ā£0 AP. We were previously looking at the petrol ones in the Q4 2025 list and we were told by the dealer that you couldnāt add or upgrade the packs. So the one we were interested in only came as a Level 1 offering and we could not pay more to have it as a Level 2 to get privacy glass etc.
This did seem strange as youāve always been able to pay for options etc. in fact at one point BMW used to offer discount off the optional extras because of the residual value they added.
January 21, 2026 at 4:04 pm #333173Yes that seems strange about not being allowed to add options/packs. Maybe he made a mistake , maybe that particular dealer doesnāt do that incase someone cancels and theyāve got a car sitting there with some added options.
as far as the privacy glass I would worry as itās never dark enough and go to your local window tint company and it shouldnāt be more than Ā£200
allnmy cars including my current JCW came with privacy glass but Iāve always paid a firm to add a dark tint
congratulations on the new order šŖš» what sort of time scale they give you for delivery?

We ordered on Jan 6th and they said we should have it by Feb 13th when our lease ends. The dealer emailed me yesterday saying that the car was on the ship on its way and it was on track for the 13thā¦
