I place my order for a Techno Esprit Alpine on Feb 6th and the expected date for delivery was “end of march/beginning of April” but I had a phone call 10 days ago to say that my car had arrived at the dealer. Dealer didn’t give specifics as to why so early but as he’d taken over from a salesman who had been fired (and good riddance in my opinion) he suspected the vehicle had been found from group stock.  As I had family commitments the earliest I could pick up is March 15th which of course means it ends up on a ’24 plate?

            Good morning all

Just a quick question regarding the tyre repair/inflation kits that are often supplied in lieu of a traditional spare wheel…. If one has cause to use the kit what, if any, is the procedure for replacing the repair “gunk”?  Does Kwik fit/the dealer replace it or is it left to the lessee to replace it themselves? If so, is there a need to replace it like for like from the dealer or is it permissible to purchase a similar item from a store  like Halfords and if so, what brand is best?  Have never needed such but whilst waiting for my new car on March 15th my mind has been on such things?

            Regards

              Hi all,

Thank you all for your condolences. It was a shock for sure for myself and my family but please OP dont be upset that you created this post, sad though it may be for anyone facing similar loss its an important topic to be aware of and anything that can be learned to make the process smoother is very welcome. Sometimes the hardest topics to discuss are the most important ones.

              Love to all

                Hi Folks,

If its of any help, I’ve just signed to take over the lease of my dads Tiguan after he sadly passed on the 9th December.  It didn’t seem to be an issue when I rang them so its clearly something they are familiar with albeit under different circumstances.

                Regards
