Sorry if my post was confusing, I was referring which engine would be best to go for, the 1.6 or 2.o l diesel, had the DSG box in a golf, though it was great 🙂

On the SEAT website I can only find the WLTP combined figure, not the low and high, can anyone point me to the info, thanks

Having looked at the Tucson,  but when comparing  the specification, mpg, and the AP , it does not compare with the Tiguan or ATECA in my view 🙂

In my view the best Hyundai  is the  IONIQ 1.6 GDi Premium SE at 599 AP

Hammerhead, which colour have you chosen, am thinking of going with the monarch orange.

Dealer advised I can have any colour, if order within next few weeks, here for September

When does your new one arrive 🙂

i see, on the website on the Tekna, it does not allow you to add any more options, as the options available are all included, but obviously, none say the intelligent cruise control

Appears you can only get it on the manual, or am I reading it wrong ?  and its £ 495 as in the brochure: https://www-europe.nissan-cdn.net/content/dam/Nissan/gb/brochures/Vehicles/Nissan_New-X-Trail_UK.pdf

Drive Assist Pack (1.7 dCi 150 Manual):
    Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Lane
    Intervention, Lane Keep Assist

BTW current ‘best’ mpg is 56.7

Assume that on the X Trail 1.6dci auto?

Thank you all, for the input. I would have to go with the CVT ( auto only license ) hopefully will be better with the new 1.7 engine.

My dealer told me if i ordered this week , vehicle would be here end of July

I have noticed that too, hopefully, its an error on Nissan’s website rather than Motability, is the 1.7dci a new engine to the range?

As per my post on the RAV4 thread, I have spoken to other Toyota dealers today, who all say, last week the RAV4 was showing Oct delivery, all now showing March delivery.

It’s like been “between a rock and a hard place” as in the long wait, but also for me, nothing else offers the ease of access, comfort, gizmos, and mpg.

Going to make a decision early next quarter on whether to cancel or not, if something new comes on.

I have just seen my dealer who informed me my RAV4 has been put back till March next year for delivery, I said I may cancel if another car comes on the scheme that is suitable next quarter.

The dealer says it may be that the RAV4 gets pulled off the scheme that at end of this quarter, as the cannot get the vehicle in the normal timeframe of 3 months or so

After a lot of ” toing and froing ” I decided on the Decuma Grey.

I must say the service I have been given by Ed at Listers in  Lincoln, has been just amazing, he has been so accommodating and understanding and nothing is to much trouble, an absolute credit to his employer and the Motability scheme. The scheme needs more people like Ed.  🙂

When the order was placed today the system gave an expected delivery date of between Nov 27 th to Dec 17th, well worth the wait tho in my view.

I went with the Excel version over the Dynamic, as I wanted the heated steering wheel , which is not on Dynamic

Having seen the Tiguan again this morning, I have gone for the RAV4, both great vehicles, but for me, the RAV4 was easier to get in and out off, and a more comfortable ride.

Many thanks, mzmps for your detailed review and everyone else for your input. My local dealer took me on another drive today, and as before,  I was very pleased with the ride comfort and ease of getting in and out.

On the 2o min journey, the dealer got 55 mpg , personally, I have not driven a cvt before but assume i would easily get used to how they drive best.

Going to see the VW Tiguan tomorrow again ( JCT 600 Newark also doing £600 cashback) and place an order for one of them , such a hard decision, given they are both very good cars.

    Hi Surreyguy1981

I see you have the Nissan Qashqai very nice , i am due to test drive one next week ( interested in the Tekna + ) , how are you finding it?

From the reviews i have read/watched , i  notice a lot of the reviewers give very good marks for, comfort , handling , and that the cabin is very well insulated from road noise , although the interior looks a bit dated.

Many thanks for you input 🙂
