Curb rash to repair or not before service?

Just driving down to put my repeat prescription in, when a woman pulled over onto my side of the road to overtake a bike, causing me to swerve harshly scraping the kerb.

I have a couple of immediate concerns. Firstly the cars due for its first 12month service on 3rd April and I believe they do a condition report? Secondly would it effect the gcb/gcp payment if i was t leave it?

I’ll end up geting my mate to do an edge repair rather than the whole wheel just to take the edge off it in the summer, as it will do my pip in looking at it especially as they are two tone.

hi @kezo I don’t think it’s anything to worry about at all , I hit my front driver alloy wheel into a curb and it was much worse than that , and got my GCB, I wouldn’t bother getting it repaired it’s only a few marks, see a pic of mine below

It’s fair wear & tear, wouldn’t give it a second thought.

If I seem a little strange, that's because I am.

Absolutely, leave it in that Motability will accept it as fair wear and tear as has already been said.  However, if it offends you and you’re tempted to get it fixed, leave it too.  I had a wheel repaired and 6 months later the same wheel got damaged again. That time, I took the hint.

                  Thanks all 🙂

I’ll leave it be and just put a bit of black paint on that one part so its not in your face.

Is it the front wheel? kezo, or the rear from handbrake turns ??
