It’s arrived, new car day is such a good day.
April 18, 2025 at 4:19 pm in reply to: ID.3 Features Being Removed Unless I Pay – Was Anyone Told About This? #304491This is very underhand unless explained fully on collection. Mercedes App also only is for three years and without paying extra, you loose traffic updates for navigation, locking/unlocking thru app, car locator, seat/ mirror linked to remote etc. subscription is £79 per year. As I’d extended the lease, I lost those benefits, some of which I used quite often, Personally, I think if they are time restricted , it should be linked to vehicle servicing. Use a mani dealer to keep the subscription up. (of course, as we use main dealers, it would suit us).
Deep crystal blue. Really shocked as I was fully expecting to order Soul Red, but loved the look of the blue in the sun.
Honestly, I’m becoming very disappointed with what seems like the quarterly increases. Currently with a year left on an extended lease and nothing suitable seems to be less than £4K AP.
Sorry Paul, I don’t quite follow what you’ve said. All I know is that if I was to bite the bullet and change vehicle. A comparable ICE/mild or full hybrid car with the features we need is £3.5k to £4k AP. That’s at least double what we needed 3.5 years ago, and I don’t think you are even allowed to extend to five years anymore.
I cannot use an EV as no off street parking. It seems to be that, currently, Motability is failing its customers. Largest fleet provider and these are the best deals they can negotiate with their manufacturers.
3.5 years ago, the AP for our ICE vehicle was about £1800. Now compatible cars are at least £4k and prices are jumping further away from our budget.
Extended until end of 2025 but then who knows.Felling very let down and disappointed
Unfortunately full electric an issue, no off street parking
Something with a raised driving position, electrically adjustable seats, electric boot, auto and cruise for less than the seemingly compulsory £4k AP would be nice.
Shocking APs. Currently have a B200 prem plus and have extended the lease , now 3.5 years. Needed higher seats, electric seats, powered boot as necessities.
think AP was about £2000 ish and MB dealer offered £500 off. Now they want 4k to 8k AP.They have UK compound stock of the current model that will need to be shifted I reckon.
which , no doubt, will be offered to Motability to help clear the old stock and removed just as latest model becomes available
I have the same with our Mercedes. Lots of really useful stuff ( to us anyway) deleted. Locking car through app, real-time route correction of sat nav, etc. can do it monthly though but still £29 per month . Disappointed
i for one and glad merc wont be coming back they have garbage customer service
I’ve had a B Class for 2.5 years and customer service has been faultless at two different dealers.
@rogerwilko any alternatives would be welcomed
Out of interest, is it right to assume that you decide on the badge then see what’s suitable? Say the Ford Kuga for example, suits your needs but you don’t like the badge. Mercedes/BMW have something similar but doesn’t quite have what you require for your disability. By your inference you wouldn’t take the car that suits your needs because of the badge. Motability is there to enable us to stay mobile not get us a lifestyle status symbol.
wow, that’s a bit of a jump, if keeping mobile is the only reason for the scheme, bring back the blue disability cars. Otherwise, considering we are paying for the AP and the monthly payment, more choice the better in my eyes.
