How fast do you need to go? The speed limits all around me are 50mph, and the Enyaq will do 99mph. I think the 85’s are faster aren’t they, 112mph?
I knew we’d get this sort of comment from some.
It’s perfectly valid. I ride motorbikes at 150mph on racetracks (I’m not the disabled one) but tend to obey speed limits on the road. In this country I’ll drive at 70 on a motorway, in Ireland I’ll drive at 80. No need for the sarky comments at all. Are you ordering an Enyaq or is it not fast enough for you?
My Application is lodged with Motability but Skoda haven’t yet placed the order. The dealer has now confirmed that the 31st October is the day the order books open for the new model. That’s the day my order will be placed. Skoda don’t know if the 85 will be on the scheme. Motability have said that model changes can happen and they accommodate them. Customers affected in the changeover get the new model. If I dint however want to proceed, I could just cancel the order. Motability don’t make a decision to offer the model, Skoda will make that decision. I spoke about the references being different but they said that they take a pragmatic view and if the manufacturer is happy to accommodate it, they are happy to let the order transition to the new model year.
So, order and hope for the best, and either be delighted or not depending on what Skoda decide.

Most people are getting quoted 19-20 weeks delivery for an Enyaq so that’s a factory build, not dealer stock. That’s across multiple dealers.
Skoda knew the refresh/new models were coming when they put the 80/80x on the scheme though for this quarter so it doesn’t make sense if they are just not going to deliver.
There will be a LOT of very annoyed motability customers if the 80/80x orders get cancelled I reckon.
The 4 WD Enyaq has a bigger turning circle than the rear wheel drive version, and less range.
But it’s quicker. Most of the feedback from owners is that the AWD version adds very little, if anything, over the RWD version. It’s also worth remembering that the turning circle on the Enyaq is very impressive for such a big car, losing a little won’t make it difficult to turn, just more to what you’d expect. It strikes me as a little odd that you have a car capable of doing 0-62 in just under 7 seconds but tops out before 100mph.
Being slightly quicker 0-60mph doesn’t bother me at all. I’m currently in a 4 motion Allspace so am used to not rushing. I’m not sure I would pick the X Enyaq as I have also read a lot of reviews where people think it adds little, apart from wight, and possible extra noise from the other motor. I’m currently looking at the coupe anyway, where 4 wd isn’t an option currently (wonder what will happen there)
99mph is fine for me (I think the new one will do 112?) as I’m sure the range takes a hit at that speed. Thanks jda.

No idea, just thinking out loud.
If it’s basically a new model, with increased pricing I wonder if Skoda will pull it from Motability on the 31st October?
I wonder if motability will pull the Enyaq from that date.
I mean the amount of errors in the statement is unbelievable for example the manufacturer is not notified by Motability customer orders vehicle at point of order they are offered a “free” EV charger installation covered by Motability if they have not already had one if requested by the customer, motability send a request to ohme (Motability choice) Ohme gets in contact with the customer a remote survey is required (in person can’t be requested by customer) paperwork and confirmation the property owner agrees with the instal installation booked and carried out, DNO informed on the installation that’s it, not rocket science the only exception is at the point of remote or in person survey if they property fuse needs upgraded or cabling changed DNO informed as that will be their remit.
From the Motability website:
What you’ll need for the survey
Here’s everything you’ll need to find and have ready for your chargepoint provider, when you complete a survey by text. If you cannot complete this, they’ll send someone out instead.I’m sure they offer the option to come out and do the survey themselves?
If things work out we’ll be going from a 4 motion Allspace to an Enyaq coupe. The days of fantastic 2l diesel wagons have gone for good off the scheme I think.
Personally I’d have an untethered one, much more discrete when not in use.
An EV is only on my list depending if I can charge at home, which I still have to sort out. Ever increasing diesel prices are what’s driving the decision.
So, starting the thread off. Spoke to my dealer today to arrange to go in next Sarurday (14th) the first day I can order. I’ve decided on the Sportline X suv, in Race Blue (second choice would have been the multicolour Arctic White)with Maxx package, travel package and sunroof Lead tinme is around 19 weeks, so end of February, just a month over my change date of January. That’s fine, as my current car, Skoda Superb estate SEL is hardly run in at 15,000 miles. I e also decided to get them to fit a new dash cam, my current one a transcend is around 7 years old now, So, looking forward to the next steps. My dealer is very good, doesn’t want any deposit, not even for the options. I’ve found every dealing with them to ge excellent
Can I ask who the dealer is?
I’ve been quoted approx 19 weeks by two different dealers now so assume that must be what they are working towards.
Great news for people on Motability if they want to move to EV, I expect to see the scheme flooded with some excellent EV’s over the next few years, whilst petrol / diesel choices get ever smaller.
It’s already happening.I think that you are right about the coupe not having a rear wipe the salesman gave me a lift from home in an Octavia coupe and that had no rear wipe. I needed the iV because I need a hoist/powerchair which was not possible in the coupe. I like the lines of the iV anyway.

Ah that’s a bit annoying. Penny pinching I assume on a 50k car.
@Andy, yes it’s a lovely looking car, the only two personal issues I had with it is that you dont get shade for the panoramic roof, you have to buy a manual slot in one, so may be warm in Sumner plus a big area to add cold to the car in winter and, a problem I have with all the ev coupes, is that there is no rear was/wipe. For those reasons, plus a bit more space for the dogs, I’m going to ho with the Suv cession with sunroof
Pretty sure one I looked at had a rear wiper. Good point about the roof, will have to do some more research!
Has anyone noticed on the standard spec list on the above price list for the Sportline 80 and 80x it shows DCC as being standard? This is currently only available on the MAXX pack? Have Skoda made a mistake here?
I noticed that when I was looking this morning. Interesting if true, wonder if that plays into the week 44 build thing…
Sat in a coupe yesterday and now considering that, £600 over the price of the standard Sportline but comes with a panoramic roof which floods the car with light and was lovely! Dealer quoted 19-20 weeks on a factory order.
Decisions decisions…Surely order the 80 if you want an 80 Enyak, be happy you’ve got the car, and happier if you get the newer model.
