Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).

It’s exactly the same here @wmcforum. It isn’t help by the solid brick wall construction. How I am due to have External wall Insulation done this year which will help keep the house warmer in winter and cooler in summer. The rendering system has heat reflective properties that can reflect 15% of heat. As my house is North south orientated, The back gets read hot all day and evening.

If however you don’t close your Windows and blinds the heat from outside will come in and the insulation works in reverse in that it keeps the heat in.

July 23, 2021 at 9:17 am #159534Still bright and clear although a tad cooler. Madam’s blood test went far from well yesterday. Hospital consultant told her test could done at GP’s. Book for test at surgery, no prob’s. So, took steroid overnight, fasted, went without tea in the morning. Got to surgery and nursey says she can’t do it. OK, she can take the sample of blood but does not have the correct colour container to send to lab. Re-booked to have test at hospital (which is full to overflowing with Covid cases). Ain’t the NHS wunnerful!

ajn? a lovely 23 breeze too mmmm, thunder showers forecast
July 23, 2021 at 12:21 pm #159573Well wrong about “tad cooler”. Garden thermometer reading 28C at midday. Light breeze has pushed the throttle and now quite strong. Wearing hat not an option so my “cue-ball” top may enter lobster mode and become a six-pointer! ?
July 23, 2021 at 2:42 pm #159598this is just getting out of hand now, either it needs to get cooler or I’ll be immigrating to Spain.

GeorgieA breeze! A breeze! A breeze!
Cooler last night and got some decent sleep, and the breeze makes today’s Sunshine not only bearable, but nice. We didn’t even need to turn the fan on this morning, and just for an hour after lunch.
Blood tests went well enough for me yesterday, thanks. So sorry that poor Mrs. T. was, once again, given the run-around, though. I’d be pretty bloody livid, myself.

July 23, 2021 at 4:54 pm #159629A lovely 21c with a nice breeze and fresh air blowing through the house. Also like @Georgie said, a good nights sleep. I feel so much more revived.

GeorgieThen she’s a better woman than I am, Gunga Din. 😉
Sooo . . . . That was a very nice little thunderstorm this morning: gave us a cool nights sleep with low humidity and held off the flash-bangs until just after dawn, when we were awaking up anyway.
July 24, 2021 at 9:53 am #159718We got the thunderstorm a bit earlier than you, Georgie. About 4am (as far as I am able to read a clock at unearthly hour!). Very BIG lightning; modest thunder. Now about 18C and fully overcast. Having to wear proper trousers, not shorts. Feels utterly wrong!
July 24, 2021 at 10:03 am #159719Bournemouth – light rain late evening. A little windy in the night. No thunder and lightning. A light breeze and just a bit damp this morning. We wuz swindled.
July 24, 2021 at 10:33 am #159723Sunny………..again, there is a, very welcome, cool breeze that is making things pleasant.
