Off in to order a car today, I think waiting will be not very profitable, I have to reorder before xmas and its going to get worse before it gets better. By waiting for deals I’ve missed out of a couple of what would absolute bargains in todays market. I’ll get the order in and pay zero deposit and because of the very long lead times, I’ll cancel and reorder in the coming months if any significantly better deals (very doubtful) come along.

For what it’s worth, I think Motability is excellent and are doing what they can in these impossible times. My only criticism is that the organisation is quite profitable and should instead be slightly profitable to avoid any financial issues, they CAN AND SHOULD be making AP’s cheaper, or they should have been when the world was in more normal times.

Literally just left a Vauxhall dealer and hes just had the updated pricelist, Astra ultimate 1.2 auto is reduced by 150.00 too.

Hopefully it’s going to be a good quarter.

It will not all come at once, but as time goes by we will get back to normality, fingers crossed for what’s to come tomorrow. The dealer I have just left was a true gentleman and I’ll find it difficult to cancel my order but I know I will have to if we get some real bonus surprises tomorrow, I wish I hadn’t ordered today now knowing mines come down in price, but he’d already put it through. We checked his emails just before I left and the new price list was there, he’s going to cancel/reorder tomorrow, he was a very nice chap.

No, it’s still there, just not in the list but as an advert.

I am very pleased to see that. Might help @Sue or @Laura (i can’t remember which one was in trouble in regards to the scheme).

That’s a reasonable price. Not great, but certainly decent for a brand new car on the market. Pretty sure they’ll offer an automatic variant too, but since the list hasn’t updated yet (just the ads), well.. We’ll see.

edit: though really, you want at least the “3”.

Just realised, wow okay. Those prices are actually pretty reasonable, for the amount of car you get.

Even top spec hybrid (albeit mild hybrid and not the plugin one) are reasonably priced. I expected vastly higher prices.

                              That’s a really exciting start.

When you mention mild hybrid do you mean the MEV 48v or the full hybrid HEV 230PS.

If its for the HEV I agree very good pricing.

You’re right, it’s not a MHEV, it’s a FHEV. And yeah, i mean the FHEV. I just for myself refer to anything other than PHEVs as mild hybrids.

It’s the 230hp version that i test drove.

For comparison The model 3 FHEV is £300 cheaper than the Tuscon premium MHEV q1 prices, thats why I asked.

As you say its the FHEV must admit its a blood good price even if the Tuscon fall a couple of hundred  quid.

Gutted now lol I didn’t hold out for the Sportage when I went for the Tuscon lol

We drove both in top spec, both good drives. I personally like the Sportage better, design wise, both in and out.

Keep in mind btw, the top spec FHEV Sportage has options that Hyundai charges you for in the top spec (blind view monitor – dial changes to rear view side mirror in the dashboard, and the remote controlled forward/backward parking) already baked in. So you’re really comparing it to the Tucson Ultimate with the added £1500 pack.

The price absolutely is great – and if it were the PHEV, we’d cancel our GTE. We had a charger installed, now switching to a FHEV would be stupid. 🙁

Does anyone know of Mercedes’ will be back?

We’ll see tomorrow. I personally doubt it, but what do i know.

It does have the Blind View Monitor and remote parking, yes. Only hybrids get it though, important to note.

Here’s all specs in standard format, the webpage do be confusing.

Biggest differences between “4” and GT Line S are Suede Leather, electric front seats (with “getting in” thing, when you open the door the seat slides backwards, when you close it, it goes forward again), front ventilated seats, electric tailgate – that’s the big ticket items in terms of difference. There’s other stuff (different steering wheel etc), but these are the big ones.

Personally, we thought the “4” was good enough, technically.
