I’ve just phoned the Motability rep at my local Peugeot dealership and he hasn’t had any information on Q2 prices as yet (even though they are up on the Peugeot UK site). He will re-submit my order for the E 3008 GT at the new AP of £499.
March 30, 2024 at 4:23 pm #270441Ford Kuga ST Line X PHEV up from £4,995 to £7,595
Hope that’s not a sign of things to come? Also the Kuga Vignale is discontinued and that’s the only Kuga that you can get with leather seats. That’s another car crossed off my list. Can’t see them shifting many at those prices, other than to those who get the same car time after time, regardless.
Although the savvy ones can nip in there before Mon and get the PHEV STLX for £2995 or better still the trick PHEV Black Package for £2445 or even the FHEV STLX and FHEV Black Package for £2395 from Mon. Same car for sure but best driving car in it’s category time and time again. Let’s see how the other’s numbers stack up.
Well, been and gone and done it!
Had appointment with Trustford, Belfast this morning. Ordered a PHEV Black Package Edition Kuga from their holding stock. Agreed mutual delivery of 22nd April. Taking all factors into account the AP will be £1445 (£3745 Mob published price – £1300 Ford discount – £750 NCB – £250 GCB). That is a lorra lorra car for the money considering my current 1.5 Ecoboost Kuga was £1995 in Feb 21. From Mon the PHEV current model will be £4995 and new model £7595.
If I hadn’t pulled the trigger now I don’t think I would ever have been able to afford a decent PHEV SUV from any manufacturer in the future.
March 30, 2024 at 4:45 pm #270443Well done @POPS and @comfortablynumb2 It’s good to hear when people get sorted and are happy with their deal.
We are at the mercy of Q2 price list (or Q3 & Q4 if we extend) and are particularly keen to see the BMW and Mazda lists. Hoping that some petrol (unlikely) or PHEV (possible) X1’s will appear and that the CX-60 APs drop ?

I’m hoping the X1 comes on too ?
March 30, 2024 at 5:08 pm #270447Any news on Volvo pricing for Q2 ?
March 30, 2024 at 5:51 pm #270455A not ridiculous price on the 330e might tempt me back. And obviously the byd seal, obviously ??♂️?

March 30, 2024 at 7:02 pm #270460March 30, 2024 at 7:47 pm #270462If that e3008 gt is dropping 2 grand I can see a call coming to skoda cancelling my enyaq – why is nothing ever simple – I was just starting to look at the Renault Scenic, now I see a possible reduction on the enyaq (based on the reduction mentioned here on the coupe) – arggghhhhh lol

March 30, 2024 at 8:11 pm #270465I’m waiting to see what renault and hyundai do. Curious if renault will drop the scenic to compete with the e-3008 and whether hyundai will drop the ioniq 5 to clear stock for the face-lift coming in ?

The 7/8/9-seaters MPVs like the Ford Tourneo Custom, Renault Trafic, Citroen e-Spacetourer, Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric, etc literally have triple the amount of space that the Enyaq offers & are really comfortable, practical & versatile.
The all-new Ford Tourneo Custom (same platform as the new upcoming VW Transporter), the facelifted 2024 Vauxhall Vivaro Life Electric Ultimate 75kWh & the facelifted Peugeot E-Traveller 75kWh Allure are pretty decent vehicles with all the mod cons & they aren’t bad looking.
We do actually tow often, there are so many nice places to go & we don’t fly.
It’s really great you’ve got a solar install, it’s something we’d like to have as well in the future, and it’s impressive that your bill is that low.
Well, we were considering the Ford Tourneo Custom 2.0l Diesel 170 Auto which has a 0-62mph time of nearly 14sec, so clearly 0-62mph times have no importance to us as well. All the cars we’ve considered & have had did not have a quick 0-62mph time, for us what is important is that the vehicle is suitable, comfortable, convenient, practical, versatile, efficient & good value. As I had mentioned, 0-62mph times is a good way to make like-for-like comparisions for price between EVs & ICE vehicles as EVs will always need to have more power to shift that extra heft, hence why I mentioned the 0-62mph times for the X1s to draw the comparisons between like-for-like petrol, hybrid & electric models.
March 30, 2024 at 11:26 pm #270474Meh whatever you do you, do your 0-60 times (even when they’re a lie lol) etc and be happy. I couldn’t care less either way, same as I couldn’t care less about peoples choice of EV petrol or diesel wtf do I care who gets what. As I said before there’s no right or wrong answer just good job there 900 odd cars to choose from.
Won’t be long before just about every car has near enough the same acceleration anyway the way it’s going lol
March 30, 2024 at 11:41 pm #270475If I was making a comparison then the metrics would be around the things I find important. If that’s 0-62 times then that’s fine. For me, efficiency is more important. I’d much rather feel sure that the £1 I spend on fuel gets me the furthest, that and comfort but that’s even harder to measure in a statistical context.

I’d been contemplating doing just what you have done as i do love everything aboout my Kuga 2.0 derv AWD ST Line X Edition but for one thing i could not get a Black Package car with the AGR front seats without shelling out for other options that the “stock” vehicles were already kitted out with, and i need better seats as the ones in the Kuga (currently) the seat bolster has been giving me severe irritation in my right thigh.#
I know you will enjoy your new Kuga Phev.
March 31, 2024 at 4:57 am #270479The Ford Explorer could be a serious game changer depending on APs. Will be very interesting to see what they are set at.
Is the ID4 about to get cancelled ???
Watch this space.

I thought you would know that one Mike!
The ‘Deals and offers’ thread is for dealer deals and offers – such as Cashback, dealer discounts, free televisions, free anything etc.
Quartely price updates seem to be being posted in this (albeit somewhat vaguely titled) thread.

You are? I’ve just read that the e3008 has dropped to £500. So I think a call to my dealer when it opens to change the order for new price and add the sensation pack. All for £700 after the NCP and GCB. My stomach is doing somersaults lol

Have you actually been able to drive the E3008 ? And what is a sensation pack?

You don’t want to know ?
March 31, 2024 at 12:22 pm #270498Stop that you ?
I ain’t drove it as it won’t be in the showrooms for a while yet. Driving wise for me a car is a car. I’ve never noticed any of my cars handling better than others tbh. It’s something I wonder about with some of the comments on here about handling. I’ve drove around lots of country roads at 60+ ahem cough cough lol and never ever had a car slip, slide, wobble or been anywhere near losing control from the oul rovers and escort, the Alfa, the 2.0ltr td astra which was fast and the electric Kona which is fast and heavy.
