Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.

So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Ordered our moon white facelift a week ago told handover on may 30th. It’s at the docks in Germany at present.

…………. is it still on for Friday? I do hope you get it then. It is almost unbelievable that you have managed to obtain one so quickly, my dealer can’t tell me anything about my car apart from scheduled for build week 17 (week commencing 21 April) ……….. has it been built, who knows my dealer doesn’t! ………… I think its a case of “Computer says No”

Get your order number from your dealer and then if you use Live Chat you can find out exactly where it is in the system eg, ours is at build code 20 stage 3 which is bodyshop.

Thanks for the idea of using Live Chat, unfortunately I haven’t found Live Chat on the Skoda web site, only Ask Laura else phone them directly which I’ve done without success, both just directed back to my dealer. It would seem that I am not alone in having difficulty finding Live Chat, I have been told that it’s somewhat a bit hit and miss for whether it will show up on the web page! Having said that, there is an option within Ask Laura “chat with a human” but that’s not working at present ……….. perhaps I’m having a blond moment, no disrespect to blonds, I’ll try again later!

Only works I’ve found between 9am and 5:30pm you do the Live chat, chat with a human which takes you to a different page and at the nottom right theres a chat bubble and go from there and then when they tell you to call your dealer just say you can’t at the moment but you will need your 8 digit order number.  Used it earlier today

I think you can cancel at any time …………….. was it the face lift model that you ordered? The only change that I am aware of is with regard to the battery but I think that is only to be applied to models after late May, although there is something about 4 wheel drive only working at low speeds, not sure, somebody will be along soon with more knowledge then I.

ah thanks for that – i’d seen on thr motability site and skodas site that the sportive 85x now comes in 2 varieties regular and MAXX and they removed some of the feature HUD etc from the regular – when we ordered it the sport line was the top spec – and what they won’t tell me is what is going to arrive – they assure me in legalise that to the best of their understanding it is what we ordered – i just don’t want to get into an argument on the exchange – if it’s missing something we need or expected – the salesman was awful too tbh impolite and wanted to get into a debate about what things were the deal breaker – i also feel an bit aggrieved as they asked us for a deposit which we gave and then when i contracted motability about another matter they said we didn’t need to have put a deposit down – so i’ve started off on the back foot, first skoda we’ve had and im already bothered if that makes sense – the change apparently is because of the VRS coming out

None of the features have been removed from the 85X. Skoda now offers a Sportsline 85, but this isn’t part of the scheme.  The 85X with Maxx is as it says the 85x plus Maxx package, which is normally a £1700 add on so a great deal if you want or need it.

The AWD is only active in Traction mode up to 20 mph but will kick in at any time when it’s needed in any mode.

The spec of the Sportline still includes HUD etc. You can view either the current brochure for spec or the Skoda website and it details it’s still included.

The 85 and 85x Sportline are just 2wd or 4wd versions of the same car which they used to have in the past but removed the option when the 24 model released so they are just going back to how it was .

The MAXX is the same spec car but your just getting the upgrade package of the MAXX pack at a discounted rate. It’s not a specific model of car . It’s quite common for this to happen on motability and several brands do it to give you more discounted options. On occasion some options get included free of charge.

Again if you download the brochure it details what the MAXX pack adds to the car if you buy that .

This delivery time for my Enyaq is taking a while. The dealership estimated it would be here by the end of may (3-4 weeks from the time of order) but when I ring up to query it’s status they say it’s still in the port of exit in Germany. I ordered a prebuilt car that was ready to be shipped. Anyone else waiting for shipment?

I ordered my car at the beginning of March and up until 2 June, I heard nothing, when I phoned, the dealer couldn’t tell me anything even though the build date had long since past but, as I say on the 2 June my dealer phoned to say it was in the country. I’m now scheduled to collect the car on Friday.

I’ve been pretty disappointed with the lack of information, more so when the dealer had scheduled an appointment for 28 April to up date me but they had no information to give me ………. seems like an IT problem at Skoda, they, Skoda, need to pull their finger out they don’t need to be irritating there customers.

On the plus side, I was initially told that the lead time was approx 13 weeks, if I actually get the car on Friday then it will have been 14 weeks which I don’t think is too bad.

With regard to the availability of your car, on the Skoda web site, you can see that cars are now becoming available, I guess you could always switch dealers. In any event, good luck!

Hi, I got my new enyaq on Friday. But we seem to be having a few issues. Things like the door not locking or unlocking, especially when its raining. The system saying the key isn’t detected. The alarm going off when I’ve literally just pulled up, and won’t stop (I had to lock and unlock it several times before it stopped). And im sure there was something about an engine fault. Has anyone had any issues like this? Any advice?

                                    Hi all,

I was looking to order a sport line with the Maxx pack which on the website is shown at £2900 upfront. If I add on the Grey paint, heat pump, panoramic sunroof, winter pack and a tow bar, will I just pay sticker price on top of the 2900 for each of those or do motability get any discount on upgrades?

I’ve had lots of little issues with mine. They have all disappeared the same day, usually by pulling up, switching off, getting out of the car and firing it up again.

It’s the only car I’ve ever had that’s been like this.

we collected ours on Monday and bar taking a while to register it on the app it’s been ok except the climate control has a mind of its own. i turn it off and when i get in again it sets itself to random settings. have you tried using a different key? maybe it’s the battery ? either the key or the 12v in the car ? seen a few posts about 12v battery drains

With any electric car I’ve found one of these fixes almost everything

                                          1. Turn ignition off/on

                                          2. Turn ignition off open close door

                                          3. 2 plus lock and unlock the door

                                          4. Disconnect 12v battery and try again

                                          5. Disconnect for 20 mins or do try again

I carry an OBDlink LX these days too as dunno what they did but got car back after new tyres and it throws up errors r us in loss of communication with drive train.

I cleared the codes and haven’t had an issue since better than waiting hours for the RAC to do the same

Issues with keys though I would call the dealer and push them to look at it right now as its new

Most niggles are the battery and after a good run or charge they disappear, I’ve had the display got wacky and distorted twice in 6 months, once on a very cold day and the other when it had sat on the drive for a week.

What’s concerning me is there’s a lovely creaking groaning noise starting in ours when my partner is in the passenger seat and we are driving around, it’s not the chair as it can’t be replicated by moving about or shifting weight but will happen during transit going over bumps or round corners, think I’ll be booking it in at the dealership along with the grinding at low speeds or tight corners.

The updated Skoda App i have version 8.3 on my phone, appears to have removed the info section which gives you scores on your driving. If you still have this feature on your phone where is it located ?

Asked Matts on his YT Electrified Speicher channel and he says Skoda have removed it.

Good that was a complete invasion of privacy when I opened up the app one day and it had displayed my driving history and gave me a score without letting us know, I want a car not a bloody nanny cam, granted it was quite a high score but considering VG groups record and recent hacks the less information they hold the better.

It will be coming back Skoda are doing a re-design,whenever that happens.

It’s already prompted me disable it all on the car itself, anyone else noticed the milage disparities though? Our car is reaching 5k miles but going by my timeline on Google and trips I’ve completed I should only be around 3.2k miles 5k is usually our annual mileage.

Saw similar reports in other electric cars.

Ive done over 12,000 miles now on all the local trips the mileage has tallied up, anything further or unfamiliar I haven’t really looked at but nothings setting alarm bells off. I wonder if the car one is generated from the abs reluctor rings and the other is GPS data as to how that explains a discrepancy I dunno.

That’s the trouble with software driven digital displays how honest are they, just like lcd panel fruit machines
