Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Thanks Vieuxtemps
just watched it – it is definitely the best vid on it I have seen – thanks
April 30, 2025 at 4:19 pm #304964I have a feeling that it’ll be one of those things that you use once and then that’s it, might be handy if somebody boxes you in, controlling it via phone to get you out. Have a FL Enyaq with Maxx on order so will wait and see when it comes.
April 30, 2025 at 4:30 pm #304965I’d use it every day tbh I have to reverse up my driveway then round a 90 degree corner to park. I can do it fine without bother but it’d be nice not to have to lol.
Maybe next time round tho I’m still over the moon with my 85x Sportline
Good to see motability rolling options into the advance payment now so they’re covered
April 30, 2025 at 5:15 pm #304966I have the Elroq 85 sportline maxx on order – hopefully at the end of July – it shares many of the aspects of the Enyaq – hence asking for advice here – the Enyaq looks good but bigger than my wife and I need – both seem very good value on the scheme 👍
May 2, 2025 at 10:56 am #305024Anyone else have an issue where the trim around the side windows doesn’t match up from front windows to back? My problem is on drivers side. I’ve got pics but can’t work out how to add them to this. It’s the trim along the bottom of the side windows, runs perfectly on passenger side but on drivers side it drops about 3cm from front window to rear window
May 2, 2025 at 5:15 pm #305034I have an illuminated SOS symbol on the dash the button on the roof is illuminated green.
May 9, 2025 at 2:27 pm #305315My build week was scheduled for week 17 but when I make an enquiry at Simpsons Skoda they tell me the build has not up dated yet ….. is this normal for Skoda or am I getting the run around?
I made an enquiry with them, 10 days ago, they said they would get back to me but didn’t……. seems pretty poor, perhaps they treat fair paying customer differently!
May 9, 2025 at 8:05 pm #305332I was quoted 11 weeks from order to dealer.
May 9, 2025 at 8:31 pm #305333Well unfortunately I got hit with one of the “common” glitches the other day – car refused to go into gear because of a 12v battery issue and filler cap wouldn’t open. Called the Skoda Assist (not RAC) and the guy was there in 45 mins, told me he reset a couple trips and cleared some codes and got me going again – no issues since but I have a constant fear every time I go to put it into gear that it’ll happen again…
Come to think of it, I haven’t actually tried the filler cap since but I’m pretty sure the Skoda Assist/AA guy had it open… Of course now I won’t be able to stop thinking about it until I check. Sitting at 72% charge right now so if there is an issue, should have the best part of a week to figure it out…

May 9, 2025 at 8:38 pm #305334All good – the flap opens fine – I did manage a whole 6 minutes before I had to go check once I thought about it lol

May 9, 2025 at 9:42 pm #305335@Colin Best advise is to spray the actuator with some Silicone spray every 3 months or so. Amazon have it for about £4
Fastcar 151 Silicone Lubricating Spray 200ml
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
May 9, 2025 at 9:53 pm #305336Thought this might be handy for new Enyaq & Elroq owners.
May 9, 2025 at 11:50 pm #305337I would highly recommend anyone carry a decent obd2 Bluetooth interface. I had a weird one the other day, got a new tyre got in car to drive home and dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree.
Had errors about loss of comma with the drivetrain and loads of others. I thought I could wait 4 hours for the RAC or bung my reader in, deleted the codes and everything went away and back to normal and has been fine since.
This is the one I have

May 19, 2025 at 4:48 pm #305620Went into my nearest Skoda garage to look at the enyak and very nice it is too. The salesman however informed me it’s a 40 week delivery for a factory order as they are making changes to the 4 wheel drive on the cars.

Have you spoken to Motability person at your garage? Unless you have a very specific, unique requirement, there are plenty of the cars in stock.

Škoda Elroq 85 gets CATL battery
Tobias StahlMay 5th, 2025
Reading time: 3 minutesHome News
Škoda plans to equip the Elroq 85 with battery cells from the Chinese manufacturer CATL from June. This will reduce the charging power of the electric compact SUV. Some interested parties and customers are therefore sharply criticizing the manufacturer – although the charging time is to remain unchanged.
“All Škoda Elroq models produced from calendar week 24 in 2025 will receive different high-voltage batteries due to a change of supplier,” the Edison news portal quotes from a statement from the manufacturer. This leads to a “slight differentiation of the maximum charging power” – meaning a reduction of the charging power from a maximum of 175 kW with the current battery cells from the manufacturer LG Chem to a maximum of 135 kW.
Despite lower peak performance: Charging times of the Elroq 85 should remain unchanged
A Škoda engineer had already raved to Edison at the end of 2024 about the new cells from the Chinese battery giant CATL, which are already being used in the smaller Elroq 60 variant. Now the Elroq top model is also to receive the cells. Due to a new cell chemistry, these can no longer achieve the same peak charging performance as LG Chem’s cells, Skoda explains in the press release. However, the average charging power is better, so that raising the charge level from 10 to 80 percent does not take longer than with the LG battery. Skoda has therefore also opted for the CATL cells for the Elroq 60. However, the engineer also admitted during the conversation in December 2024 that the CATL cells were a tad cheaper to buy.At the fast charging station, however, the Elroq 85 with its net 77 kWh battery should still be charged to 80 percent in a maximum of 28 minutes. Škoda cites the “optimisation of the supply chain to ensure a smooth production process and delivery to our customers” as the reason for the change. The change could therefore also be related to the delivery times of the Elroq 85, which can last several months in Germany.
“135 just sounds less than 175”: Some Škoda customers are very displeased
E-mobility YouTuber Matthias Speicher addresses the change in a LinkedIn post and tries to appease critics on social media. Many customers are unsettled by the announcement, because “135 just sounds less than 175”. When charging, however, it is not the peak power that counts, which is only a snapshot, but how much energy can be charged in a certain time. “And this means that in more than 90 percent of all fast charging processes in everyday life, it is completely irrelevant whether 175 or 135,” says Speicher. “What counts is the average charging power. And this is the same for both batteries at about 120 to 125 kW”.According to Speicher, the LG battery with 175 kW charging power only has a time advantage up to a charge level of about 40 percent, which is 2 minutes, according to the YouTuber. At a charge level of 60 percent, the lead is only one minute, and from 70 percent charge level there is no longer any difference. “And that’s only if you infect at 10 percent,” Speicher points out. “Those who infect earlier (e.g. 25 percent) gamble away a lot of the supposed lead even before the store.” Speicher says it has tested both battery variants extensively, both need around 28 minutes for a charge from 10 to 80 percent battery level, exactly as communicated by Škoda.
Škoda has already adapted the online vehicle configurator accordingly, as vehicles ordered now are not expected to be delivered until after the changeover to the CATL cells. Representatives of the Škoda dealer association want to discuss with the German importer in Weiterstadt at the beginning of May how to deal with the change in vehicle specifications, after the manufacturer had advertised quite aggressively with the peak charging power of 175 kW. The change in specifications should not be at the expense of the Škoda dealers, Edison quotes from the sales organization.

No I’m waiting for the wife, who’s the motability recipient, to come with me to have a look. Based on previous similar situations she will want a factory order.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the Enyak and Elroq, the design and quality looked really good. I was under the impression the Elroq was a small car but it’s a decent size.
Still can’t believe how little the salesman know about the cars. I asked about leather seats, I had read on this thread someone talk about the Suite trim, I think it was called, and this had leather seats, but the guy didn’t seem to know about this so he couldn’t offer any info.

My colleague in the office was in a same position a couple of months ago: HE wanted a car, but HIS wife had to make a decision on colour, spec etc… At the end he purchased Elroq with a small battery.-
