Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.

So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

Indeed, I think the original idea was that on hot days you could open all the windows while approaching the car and allow it to cool inside before getting in.

It’s also supposed to auto close the windows if it starts raining (using the winscreen rain sensor), that didn’t happen on my previous Yeti!, I’d been visiting a friend and had sat on my coat opening the windows, by the time I left a couple of hours later the car was a bit soggy inside!.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!

I’ve bitten the bullet and ordered the Enqak Coupe 85x in Brilliant Silver to replace my BMW X2 I got in 2021. I’ll be sad when I have to hand it back it’s such a great car. Took the Skoda for a test drive and it felt like the right car even though it’s electric. I tick all the boxes for electric car ownership.

But it’s not showing up on my motability account as ordered on the section where it shows the green ticked boxes on new application progress. I’ve signed the order form and been through the whole process of ordering at the showroom. I’d just like to know other’s experiences, if this is normal or if I should call them to make sure it’s actually been ordered?

I have a build week 17 so week commencing 24th April ….. not far away now but Motability have sent me a couple of emails in recent weeks “Skoda are still working on your order for a Skoda Enyaq Estate”, I don’t really see the point of sending me this, unless they’re setting me up for – “Stingray – anything can happen in the next half hour” type info – bad news the order is delayed!

I’m sorry, I didn’t answer your question, I’m totally new to this, first time for me, but I placed my order 2 march and it was two going on three weeks before I had it confirmed ….. I phoned the dealer several times and they were always going to get back to me but were immensely slow.

I think after a week, phone the dealer …… Good luck.

Took me 3-4 weeks all depends on the dealer though and slots available.

I’ve had 12v problems twice in the past two months. The second time. I got this battery protection limit notification. The dealer said I wasn’t using my car enough, hence the battery drop.

I chatted to the service manager and scoured the web. The manager agreed that it needed a trickle charger on the 12v battery. I’ve bought a Nico genius 5. Not cheap at £79.99. But I’ll be trying this when I’m not using the car for more than a few days. I’ll post back in a few weeks. The manager said they’d charged the 12v battery and it seemed better. Doors opening by grabbing the handle etc, which it wasn’t doing.

Had a very near bad accident last night in the enyaq, road closed on way home from a long journey last night diverted down back roads of Scotland and some dafty in a big X5 m sport flying round the corner of a blind bend on wrong side of road, missed me by millimetres and forced us into the ditch full car with 3 kids in.

Skoda didn’t throw any collision warnings, both passenger side tires tore side walls out, alloys damaged of which were immaculate after 13 months of driving, 6 hours in pitch black waiting on rac who recovered it back to home town. Car didn’t even throw any tire pressure warnings even though they are almost inside out! Should I be concerned about that?

will have car checked over today by local Motability approved mcconnechys as no kwik fits within 100 miles, or should I call rac to come back out to it? Unsure if there’s any suspension damage or alloys are buckled etc

So I was given the following information from octopus as had a few hiccups with the charger and apps not seeing the car lately and being charged full rates as intelligent pricing didn’t see the car just in case anyone else has been having similar.

(Also noticed I now have to have location data enabled in car security settings in order for the Skoda app to see the battery status which it never used to have any issues previously).

We are having some comms issues with “Enode” which is the firmware we use in order to communicate with your devices. This is being actively worked on with them so all customers that drive Audi, Cupra, Nissan, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, VW’s should stop getting these errors soon.

The window in which this will take is not known currently and we are working hard with this third party to come to a solution.

It may be worth deleting your devices off the app and then re-applying them and using the charger instead of the vehicle as the integrated device as OHME have their own database and don’t use Enode.

You can see how to apply with an OHME charger using this guide – https://octopus.energy/blog/intelligent-go-faqs/faq-ohme-signup/

You’ll first need to remove the current device in the devices section of the app in order to do so, but I do feel this will improve your experience with the tariff whilst we work on a solution with Enode.

These actions won’t take you off the tariff at any point, just update the current set up.

Let me know if you needed anything else at all and I’ll be in touch!

Sorry to hear of your incident must’ve been terrifying. As regards tyres the Enyaq doesn’t use tpms sensors it measures the diameter of the tyre which is why when you reinflate you have to manually reset the system.

I’m guessing it didn’t show anything about tyres as the EV equiv of a pyro fuse probably blew or because the car isn’t driving it’s not showing an error.

I had similar with the RAC I told motability to get me a taxi and they can recover the car without keys which they did. Only hiccup was they sent the taxi to a nearby pub with same name 100 miles away despite me telling them the A road I was on.

Unless RAC are going to be quickish or you have somewhere to go I’d ask for a taxi and unattended recovery fwiw for anyone reading this.

Hope you get sorted soon, don’t forget to report to police too even if you think it’s hopeless. Oh and might not have helped but get yourself a decent dashcam too if you don’t have one.

Hope you’re all well and don’t forget physical injuries can take days to show up and mental health damage can be serious my youngest 16 with ASD won’t fit in the front seat anymore after our accident

We drove maybe 1/2 a mile further down the road to get to a safe place and it still hadn’t thrown up any tire issues, it’s also been loaded on and off transporters today and still not showing any tire issues but the tyres are now almost non existent, having seen it in daylight today it’s got thousands of micro scratches from the hedge down the side of it, it’s going in to be assessed and direct line have issued a Peugeot 3008 hire car so can’t complain at that. Goes down as an at fault accident is the only downer on it, even with a police report and eye witness

Yeah it’s not a very clever system I’d prefer tpms. Who knows what damage was done we don’t even know how it works. I could see a lot of ways it wouldn’t work that way.

Glad you got a hire quick

I have fitted Tyrepal TPMS they replace the tyre caps, the display is solar shows temperature and pressure. I fitted Nextbase cameras front and rear.

Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally say the wrong thing.

Had the same happen in our Renault Scenic which ended up being a write off due to a scratch on the battery casing although to look at you couldn’t tell it would be that bad just a completely flat tyre and trashed alloy.  First thing needed would be a call to Direct Line and then go from there as damage may not be visible.  Stay safe and hope you’re all okay.

Seems to be hit and miss I’ve found, definitely won’t be paying for the Traffication service once the trial is up.

Speed camera warnings are part of the Traffication service. This is an annual subscription with the first year included.  It’s £4.50 a year and can be purchased through the app.

If it’s stopped working and your car is under a year old, give your dealer a phone and see if there is anything they can do to get it going again without you having to pay for it to be restarted.

So it’s possible I might be joining the growing list of Enyaq drivers. Have a second test drive booked and, barring anything totally untoward, will take the plunge. The Sportline 85x maxx for me is the best value. The extra £600 for auto park, electric massage passenger seat and adaptive chassis is worth the money, in my opinion. Did look at the Tavascan, but would have had to go for the V2, which at £7k, was way too much.
