Hello fellow Skodians. I hought I would start this thread, as there seems to be quite a few either taken ownership, placed orders or just thinking about getting the best ev out there.
So, any questions that someone may be able to answer, any good or bad dealings with dealers, specs wanted or received, perhaps someone could help others in their quest

I ordered on 29th November 2023. 85X Enyaq SUV Sportline Plus. It’s finally arrived at the dealer. I’m picking up next Wednesday. :oD
September 5, 2024 at 3:14 pm #287980Pulman Cramlington, I believe the one in Newcastle is Skoda Lookers. Just got off the phone with motability as no response via the handlers email. Order is gone completely, just tried to ask if we could reinstate with the Lookers garage but they had no answer as the car was at the factory
If you haven’t heard anything from the handlers email by end of tomorrow, I would send another email to the CEO, stating since their last communication with the dealer, you have received the following email from the dealer (include email)
September 5, 2024 at 10:46 pm #288003Yes, Skoda Newcastle are Lookers and Skoda Darlington are Bristol Street Motors franchises.
That’s where I’ll take my Enyaq for its service, Pulman are not getting any of my business ever again.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
September 9, 2024 at 2:21 pm #288185Picked up my car on Saturday and I can’t believe how much car you get for the AP. Handover was straight forward and didn’t have to pay a penny until I was happy with everything.
September 9, 2024 at 2:58 pm #288188Chuffed for you. It’s a brilliant car. I’m not really a huge car nut but I really love this car I think it’s probably the first car I’ve fallen for. Second closest was an old 2003 Mondeo estate we bough a few years ago for £500 was a Ghia X with 2.5 litre V6 it was spacious had loads of gadgets (heated vented seats mmmmmm) and went like stink most reliable used car I ever owned too.
Anyway 2000 miles in I’m still loving it and still no issues.
We were visiting family recently and was at a Marston pub in Cleethorpes for tea and charged the car whilst eating. Car actually reached 100% from 48% by time I’d eaten one course. According to Octopus that charge was £28
Interestingly too, I drove from my home in North Norfolk to Lincoln from Lincoln to Cleethorpes, around Cleethorpes on short trips then back home and I could’ve done the whole thing without charging. Total miles without local trips was about 300 miles so regen must’ve been helping as when I charged I had 148 miles left which was more than needed to get home
September 10, 2024 at 11:33 am #288240Well finally got a response and was able to get the sli order number from Skoda so currently trying to re order the same car at another dealer so fingers crossed

September 10, 2024 at 12:13 pm #288247I was due to pick up my new 85x Coupe tomorrow (Wed 11th Sept) but I have had to cancel it as I’ve contracted Covid19 and not feeling good! Also, didn’t want to walk in the showroom & spread it around!
So, it’s all on hold for a few days until I’m feeling well again and testing Negative!

September 10, 2024 at 1:19 pm #288259Just had a call from my dealer to let me know my 85x has left Mlada Boleslav and is on the train to Emden. The final countdown begins. I hoping 4 or 5 weeks till it arrives at the dealer. Am i being realistic?

4-5 weeks sounds about right, ours was built last week in July and we are collecting tomorrow. It would have been sooner but I think the dealer was busy with September reg plate change orders.
September 11, 2024 at 8:40 am #288311Hi everyone,
Quick question, due to collect my 85x next Tuesday after waiting since last October. The garage are charging £50 to fully charge the car, has anyone else had this.
Cheers Tim.
September 11, 2024 at 9:16 am #288324@timjl I have had two EVs and both came with full battery at no cost. I wouldn’t pay it as it. If they say the car will be nearly empty then just fund a charger close to the dealer and do you first public charge to start getting used it.
September 11, 2024 at 9:50 am #288326My dealer told me mine will come fully charged when I collect it.
You could try to haggle but there are some who now charge for this. My neighbour was charged by Arnold Clark and I know of someone else who was charged by Macklin Motors, so I think it’s up to the dealer really.
September 11, 2024 at 10:28 am #288329It states on my order that there is a £30 first charge fee. It was also mentioned the other day when I spoke with my contact at the dealership, the outstanding balance plus charging fee to pay!

September 11, 2024 at 10:33 am #288331I was asked to pay £25 for a first charge when I collected my Enyaq Coupe from Lookers Stockport. No complaint really -it is a cost to them and that figure is probably cheaper than I would have paid at a DC charger nearby.
September 12, 2024 at 2:34 pm #288445Well we had a very good morning with Skoda Lookers Newcastle, car has been reordered on the motability systems and linked to the existing model with a build week currently at 44.
Very much looks like the car was never actually ordered when we ordered it despite being told otherwise in writing.. but at least we now have an end in sight. Just got to see what we can do about the AP change now as an increase of £800 since we placed this back in April.
September 12, 2024 at 3:07 pm #288447I’m really glad you’re making progress shameful what that first dealer did. There’s something stinky going on there either orders not being placed or something dodgy or incompetent one or the other. I hope you get your car as soon as possible it’s well worth the wait
September 12, 2024 at 5:17 pm #288450Couple of questions for experienced Enyaqers. How do you switch the thing off? I’ve been letting it do it automatically when I get out. Also, how do I get the hand brake to come on automatically.
September 12, 2024 at 5:34 pm #288451Handbrake on and just get out. Detects the seat belt release and pressure switch under ya bum.
I was cleaning the windscreen inside earlier and sent the car into some kind of rage wriggling about lol
As for auto hold you can add it to the shortcut menu so you can toggle it quickly. If you tap the plus in the top right corner you can choose to add auto hold from there and it’ll remember it for future use.

September 12, 2024 at 7:22 pm #288467Cheers Rich. 👍
Am I correct in thinking the key goes to sleep and can’t have its signal stolen so does not need a faraday pouch? I’ve noticed it has a flashing red light which stops when left for a minute.
September 12, 2024 at 7:49 pm #288468We were visiting family recently and was at a Marston pub in Cleethorpes for tea and charged the car whilst eating. Car actually reached 100% from 48% by time I’d eaten one course. According to Octopus that charge was £28
Roughly how many miles was that
September 12, 2024 at 8:09 pm #288470It was showing 148 miles at 48% then something like 310 at 100% it was a 75kw charger, so we could’ve actually done Norfolk to Lincoln to Cleethorpes, out and about then home without charging as satnav said 120 miles home, super impressed as that was without eco driving too.
Yeah I believe the red led flashes on the key to tell you it’s active and eventually if not moved it goes to sleep

September 12, 2024 at 8:53 pm #288475We often do Sheffield to Skegness. About 110 miles then drive around for around 5 days and drive back to Sheffield. All on a single charge from home.
September 12, 2024 at 9:03 pm #288476I picked my car up yesterday. It was definitely worth the 9 1/2 month wait. It’s so comfy to be in, drives so smoothly and calmly, almost relaxing, until you put your foot down and it really shifts. The tech is great and works well. I can’t wait to get out for a good drive in it soon.
September 13, 2024 at 11:24 am #288518Your car looks great JDA. Same model and colour as I’ve ordered. Hopefully my delivery pics will be up soon.
