I am having a test drive tomorrow of the 330d touring ,i would like the 320 petrol, so not sure how much i will get out of it. I feel very lucky to to not only get a call back from the Motorbility Specialist but also that he arranged a test drive!

Has anyone else placed an order or interested in the 3 series?

What do you think of this offer?

For me the 3 Touring is a very good car to come on the scheme and  feel that £3000 + it costs in auto form, has value if you keep it for the full 5 years.

@Zohaib, give Ian a call at Marshalls Grimsby. He’s a top guy and disabled himself so doesn’t look down his nose at us. Nothing was too much trouble for him and even though we can’t collect by the end of June as per their offer, he agreed to the £500 cashback offer without hesitation on a factory order.

My only concern is what is the current 3 series like in winter with it been rear wheel drive. Has modern traction control made them driveable? I know they used to be stuck if there was a bit of ice and snow.

@Richard hewett, if it’s a CLA 200 saloon you want my cancelled order is at Mercedes Doncaster. I also managed to negotiate £500 off the AP.

If you are interested give Luke Cropper a call there.

Wayne has been the only member to mention the mobility aspects of these cars. This is a Mobility car site so visitors will be interested to read the reasons for considering this car regarding access, comfort and ease of carrying necessary equipment (wheelchairs, scooters etc) ?

                          <p style=”text-align: left;”>We have taken to looking at the 3 series touring.</p>
We were looking for something like a Kodiaq or a Terraca, plenty of room, it will be a family vehicle and that may well include the dog at times.

We test drove a 320i although it was an MSport saloon which was lovely but we are opting for a 320i sport touring.

According to another site some dealers near us have 500off but small print says that these expire on the 29th March, although they are still listed.

Surely the requirement for an electric seats in the persons car whom stated the requirement should be included as part of alterations required for you and tour vehicle?

We were looking at Privacy glass and comfort pack as our only upgrades really.

Sadly we are new to the scheme so cant order until July the 1st, I hope it’s still on the scheme and doesnt suddenly disappear whilst we are stuck waiting.

I didnt get the feeling we would have any issues with the engine, its smoothness or pull or lack of on the test drive that we took.

For what it’s worth it seems test drives are lone drives now normally.

So many dealers dont get back to you at the moment.

Glyn Hopkin Nissan still ran accompanying test drive which made minimal sense at this time and meant we couldnt actually travel as a family which didnt really work well for us seeing as I’m driving and my wife is the one with the requirements, also a big part of our testing is that our rather leggy 12yr old daughter at 5ft9 has plenty of room. Qashquai didn’t really fit the bill for us on that one.

                          Anyway, less of my mumbling.
