davjgI am having a test drive tomorrow of the 330d touring ,i would like the 320 petrol, so not sure how much i will get out of it. I feel very lucky to to not only get a call back from the Motorbility Specialist but also that he arranged a test drive!
Has anyone else placed an order or interested in the 3 series?
What do you think of this offer?
For me the 3 Touring is a very good car to come on the scheme and feel that £3000 + it costs in auto form, has value if you keep it for the full 5 years.

MatthewQuite fancy that one myself ,hope you let us know how it goes
June 12, 2020 at 9:42 pm #115110There is a massive difference between the 330D and the 320i.
June 12, 2020 at 10:07 pm #115112Hi davjg, the 3 Series Touring is on my list dependant on entry/exit for me. It’s a fantastic car.
I think it’s a fair comment re the AP if you keep it for five years. That would make the total cost, including the AP only just south of £20k!
I’d like to say let me know how you get on but I know the 330d is a belter.
How on earth have you wangled a drive in that as a Motability customer?Enjoy your test drive. ??
? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?
June 13, 2020 at 9:22 am #115129Brilliant car, high AP but you can see what your paying for with this one IMO.
3.0 straight 6 diesel would love that one. Shame the 20d isn’t on the scheme as that’s supposed to be the best allrounder. Also why no Msport it’s the most popular spec, surley better for resale?

LandymanDefinitely on my radar. I looked at it at my last change but went for the X1 2.0d Xdrive and I’ve been wondering ever since should I have gone for the touring.
June 13, 2020 at 12:00 pm #115138@NewYork1 I honestly prefer the rear of the Touring Sport to the MSport.
Now BMW have given it twin exhausts, it’s perfect imo. I’ve been clogging up the configurator for days now. ??@Landyman I’ve an X1 as well but got it three years ago so only have the 18d SDrive SE. (Was well over £5k down, all in!) Even so, I absolutely love it and will be pretty sad to see it go. So much so, I’m seriously considering another. If I do, it’ll be the first time, in 35 years, that I’ll have had the same car one after the other. I’d have loved to have the 20d XDrive. The 18d SDrive is powerful enough but, even though it’s really very rare I do this, the FWD goes scarily light under hard acceleration. It’s the first FWD car I’ve had for over 20 years and tbh I’d really prefer RWD. I’m not saying FWD is bad per se, I just prefer RWD.

Landyman<p style=”text-align: left;”>@ Wayne, I know what you mean about the X1 we are still seriously considering extending our lease if we can, it’s everything we need, large ish boot, 190bhp and Xdrive, but the new 3 Series touring is bloody gorgeous.</p>

TheSUVGuyWait, is this the new model? Since when was it added, I’ve been living in a cave ?
June 13, 2020 at 12:38 pm #115143I think it’s one the mild updates that manufacturers do. I noticed just before Christmas at the dealer that the 2.0i Sport had twin exhausts instead of a single exit exhaust and the rear lights have been remodelled. (Same for the X1)
In black the 3 looks gorgeous. I know this pic is the diesel but the 2.0i petrol looks the same. ♥️

June 13, 2020 at 1:11 pm #115148@BionicBionicRusty (Wayne) agree MSport doesn’t improve on looks it just gets a bit more tech with the 10inch screen and digital cockpit which are worthy upgrades I think.

jujimufubionic its a completely new model 100%
June 13, 2020 at 3:41 pm #115158Nice it’s just a shame acc is part of a pack at a grand and is one thing i cannot do without now!
June 13, 2020 at 4:28 pm #115160@jujimufu Thank you. I didn’t know it was all new. I realised the lights, bumpers and grill were new but thought that was it.
The one thing I don’t like about my MY17 X1 is that I paid for led headlights but still had to have filament bulbs for brakes/indicators/reverse.
The iDrive actually shows led indicators so it was obviously coming. It seems that the new ones are full led…..at last. ?? I will be remembered for nothing but had great fun doing it ?

SaintsmanNot only is the acc part of a pack, that same pack is not available on the se or sport models.
June 13, 2020 at 6:24 pm #115164
Saintsman@wayne
I loved my X1 2.0i xdrive, pity Capita forced me to hand it back after less than a year. I would love to see the 225xe appear on the 1st July, if it does I’ll be straight to the dealership.
I would love another X1 but at the same time I desperately want a PHEV the 225xe is the perfect choice.
June 13, 2020 at 7:53 pm #115171I also love the steering on the M Sport models.

davjgUpdate on 3 series touring test drive!
What a great car the new 3 series touring is.
The feel inside is one of quality and has changed for the better compared to the old 3 series, just feels like been a bigger car inside than the old 3 series.
I had a test drive in a 320d in white, with black leather inside. I had 40 min to take it on the dual carriageway, and it was sooooo quiet.8 speed Auto box was sublime and seats were very supportive. I just loved it, please can i have one !
Anyway the Motorbility salesman said if i order 1st week of July i should get it November(as only one shift on at the car plant ).
By the way he said there will be new colours available from July 1st.
Hope that helps, David.
June 13, 2020 at 8:26 pm #115174@Saintsman I feel for you with what happened with your X1. Fingers crossed for the 225XE. ??
@Elliot, I noticed the M steering wheel. It is nice.
@Davjg Thank you for posting. Sounds like you had a great day. The ‘box in my X1 is amazing so I expect the 3 to be really good. ? And I love the idea of more space, not that the X1 feels small. In fact I believe it’s best in its class. I’ve been really impressed with it.I need to try a 3 for sure. It just looks so good, especially in black with the new lights.
On the seats, this is my bug-bear. With my condition, sporty seats tend to make it almost impossible for me to drive. The short seat in the SE trim X1 really suits me.Thanks for the info on the new colours. That sounds interesting although the black, the black. ?? Plus people will think it’s a cop car so perhaps less crap driving around it. ????

June 13, 2020 at 8:50 pm #115176I didn’t mean the steering wheel I was talking about the actual steering on the M Sport models.
June 13, 2020 at 11:00 pm #115178Oh yeah. I see that now! Doh ???
I thought it was a little odd of a statement ?

June 14, 2020 at 10:47 am #115192Crikey! Because of the ‘Packs’ con, it’s £1,900 for electric seats!
Thats a downer ☹️

June 14, 2020 at 11:44 am #115193There are 2 Sport saloon models in black currently in the UK, however both have the £1700 pack making the AP very expensive.
June 14, 2020 at 7:36 pm #115208Yes too expensive for me
June 18, 2020 at 10:07 am #115429Please, Please, Please, Motability.
Pleeeeease don’t drop the 3 Series next quarter. ? ?
Or the Tiguan R Line……or the X1 XLine…..or the Kodiaq……….or the Mitsubishi Outlander.

ZohaibAmen to that @bionicrusty I am so confused right now guys as I was thinking of ordering the 320i saloon because I don’t see many differences To the m sport apart from a few small cosmetic ones and the digital dash, but now I have seen the 320i saloon that was just posted I’m even more confused lol. I don’t want to hold out till July as I hope they just don’t come off. Very confused and are these good round town?
