BYD Atto 3 with alleged 260 miles and not getting anywhere near that. I charged the car to full drove Glasgow to Edinburgh and back again not even 100 miles and it needed charge again by the time I got back.
I have since cancelled the car and went back to an ICE ( Seat Ateca ). The alleged benefits of owning an EV are all stats and figures while in the real world until the range gets into the realms of say real world 500 mile+ then I won’t be thinking about an EV again.
I’m the polar opposite I picked up the Leon FR 150 February this year and I absolutely hate it.
I contacted Motability a month after picking the car up to see if there was anything I could do but as it’s my wife’s PIP and not my own and she liked the car then no I’m stuck driving this for 3 years.
I wasn’t able to test drive the car but I’d previously had a Leon ST 1.6 TDI and then the 2.0 TDI thought it would have been similar with some differences going from diesel to petrol but I just don’t like this new version.
I would have thought after a month of driving and living with your chosen car you find that you just don’t like driving it you would be able to change it and not left with a vehicle for 3 years that you don’t enjoy.
I’ve the mk4 Leon estate which doesn’t have options for pretty much anything. The sound system with a 7 speaker layout should be OK considering the Ibiza has Beats setup but Seat must think the Ibiza is for the younger generation and the Leon is for older generation. The surprise isn’t surprising the sound system for me doesn’t work, I’ve upgraded the ICE in my cars until getting motability would love to rip out the stock and replace it with something better but it’s not an option. If manufacturers aren’t giving you the option to upgrade then give us a system that impresses.
