Hi Kezo, Yes it’s a difficult situation. I like the Tarraco but not with it’s present problems. Can they guarantee that this won’t happen again even with the replacement part? The hire car is just a small 5 seater (the Tarraco is 7) and i accepted the smaller hire car (from Eurocar) thinking it would only be for a brief period. The brakes are (quite frankly) unacceptable and i will demand a better car, can’t believe Motability deal with suppliers of hire cars that let cars such as this be replacements. The interior also leaves a lot to be desired.
Quite frankly, i’m beginning to “fume” about the whole thing. I’m paying my full WPMS allowance for the pleasure of driving a far inferior car, in all aspects. If i decided to call it a day with this car, what about the £2,500 advance payment i paid? Have contacted Motability by email and await their reply.

Took delivery of Seat Tarraco ExLux 2.0l diesel on 1st April 2022. Everything fine until August (6,700 mls) and then the SOS warning sign and loss of touchscreen/phone connect/reverse camera etc. This lasted a matter of hours then working o.k. 7,000 mls, and problems returned, lasted about 4 days then working o.k. 9,000 mls and problem returned but this time no self correction, contact Seat dealer, book in (2 weeks before they can look at it) Car in for full day, returned to me, and everything off again within a day!
7 weeks later, car still at dealers, i’m driving a 2 year old hire car with noisy brakes (rusty rear discs) and dealers say part on back order, no idea when it will arrive! What options do i have?

Ordered Seat Tarraco Ex lux (diesel auto in Merlot Red) on the 16th July 21 at Pulman Seat. Phone call today confirming car has arrived in UK and will be ready for handover on Friday April 1st! Could of course just be a wind up?!!
Being an ex serviceman and seeing what’s going on in Europe, the “shine of a new car” has been dulled a great deal.

Ordered Seat Terraco Ex Lux on the 11th July 21, given a build date around week 42 (late October 21) Heard nothing from dealer since and i have’nt bothered contacting them for obvious reasons. Maybe slightly disappointed about the delay and lack of communication from the dealer but quite frankly, very happy with my (now) 44,000 miles Ssangyong Turismo ELX and a little sad to see her go (whenever that will be?!!) Quite happy to see the winter out with her now, (she’s been a gem) if Ssangyong had the Rexton on Motability i would’nt have even looked at the Terraco!
