      Congrats Steph! On hearing your fabulous news earlier decided to call my dealer Lookers Glasgow to enquire if he had any update for me. Yes your car is here in the garage. Amazing not quite, “this is your original order, before we cancelled due to the decrease in adp. Ok well I’ll agree to paying the extra £500 difference. No this car has to be returned to Volvo. I’ve pleaded asked for an update on the reordered car there is none!!! Doesn’t even know if it’s built. To say I’m lost for words presently is an understatement.

      That is the most ridiculous statement from Volvo I’ve ever heard in my life!!
      Im in shock 😮

      So the one in the garage, is it the exact same order just changed because of the 500£ ADP drop.

      I did the same as you Rose reordered to save the 500£ my dealer told me they just changed the ARN number so I’ll get my original car just 500£ cheaper. And it will be the MY24

      A secondary order will be July and the MY25

        Update!!!! Just got a call to say my car is IN! Going to collect it on Wednesday! I’m in shock that not only is it not delayed, but it’s early! The sales guy said they got a bumper load of motability cars on very short notice! And don’t forget I’m in Northern Ireland so an extra ferry ride on top of you guys, so fingers crossed you’ll get your calls very soon!

          Here is the comms I got ?‍♀️ Basically ‘we know nothing, you’ll get your car when you get it and we won’t have updates for you’

          well quite a waste of paper with no information at all

          basically we get them when we get them and that’s that unfortunately

            My original order date was 10/12/2delivery date given 16/04/24. Contacted dealer 9/1/24 re lower adp categorically told they couldn’t honour new adp and would need to place new order. Dealer didn’t actually carry this out until 13/01/24 and delivery date at bottom of order 23/05/24. Dealer contacted on 14/03 with regards to specifically requesting confirmation of a MY24 as was aware of differences between 24/25 models and I wanted the 360 camera. Had to chase up response, received email on the 26/03 confirming when reordered in January it was still a model year 24. The ONLY communication I have received is when I call or email the dealer. Last week’s response was “no information on whether it was built, or any delivery information. Still on track for May” but couldn’t categorically guarantee this. We previously had a year 21 Volvo XC40 inscription Pro ordered at the height of Covid from date of order to delivery date 12 weeks exactly to the day. This car was my son’s motability pip vehicle who sadly passed in August 22. Contract wasn’t allowed to be transferred to my ADP award, vehicle collected one day after his funeral taking place. I don’t believe for a second we (Motability) are treated anywhere near the same as private sales. On looking on Volvo UK website last week my model was available as a five week delivery, same colour spec and model year 24. ???

            I agree I do not think we are treat the same as Retail customers at all, I have tried to stay as positive as possible throughout and give all the information I receive to the thread as I do push my dealer weekly for updates haha,

            It does seem we all really ordered within weeks of each other, and nationwide we are not a million miles apart (apart from the Belfast order)

            Not only are we now wondering when… it’s been thrown into the mix of which model!! The 24 or 25
            Just no help whatsoever from anyone (MB OR VOLVO HQ)

            If we didn’t have this thread we’d totally be in the dark completely!!

            Let’s see how this week plays out as it’s May on Wednesday and there was someone on here expecting a handover date it would be interesting to see if that happens, the same with UncJ and Nshaw, surely you can’t be far off!!

            I’ve never known anything like this before to be honest I am new to MB never thought it would be this hard

              My actual salesperson is an annual leave till this week, I had sent him an email last week to enquire about the status of order and got an OOO. So assuming he replies this week (maybe he won’t as we call got ‘the letter’ from the showroom manager), I will press him for info on the MY24/25 piece and report back, I’m sure I won’t have been the only one to ask for that upgrade on here!

              Steph id absolutely be pushing for a refund of £750 if you do get the MY25 spec! No way I’d be losing that sort of cash,

              Ive been told I am definitely getting the MY24 spec he went through that on the phone last week being a April build, from order December 2023

                If we narrow this down a bit…

                Where are we all in the country for starters and what Month did we order..

                So I am Near Preston Lancashire (dealer Preston)

                Ordered 29/12/23 (In April build)

                Re-ordered 2/2/24 (In June build & CXL)

                The reason I ask where we are is to see if cars are being delivered in any order (southward to north etc)

                  Great, hopefully it’s not too long now. I was going to have the tints done but I can get it done £170 cheaper by a firm I’ve used several times so I’ve gone with that. It usually takes about a week to do the PDI once the car arrives so there’s that to take into account as well.

                  Great news for you & NShaw, looks like you’ll be driving off into the sunset very soon and maybe even meet each other collecting your cars, that’s so nice!

                    You’d think Motability would step in to assist with this fiasco!

                    I did contact MB to which they say it’s totally out of their hands (in a nice way) the only thing to do is choose another car/dealer that have them on the forecourt etc, which we won’t be doing, they were pleasant but powerless in that respect

                      Yes these spreadsheets should be available to all MB customers now as to where you are with your vehicle, in my case I’m an April build… and a June build I was down for 2 cars!! Madness! The whole experience has been a shambles

                        Just a quick update guys,

                        Just had a phone call from my dealer (Preston Lancs),

                        If you remember I ordered on 29/12/23 but on the 2/2/24 cancelled and reordered to save the £500 AP that dropped

                        ThereFor he’s just rang to say…. They’ve built me 2 cars!!! For goodness sakes!
                        I was April build (that’s built) due delivery early May and the second car ready for build in May for delivery early June

                        He spoke to Fleet hub, obviously I’m only getting 1 car, the April build, and it’s due May. No exact date as of yet.
                        So they are trickling through, just very slowly

                        By May end we all be driving our new cars I have a good feeling.

                            I forgot to add he said… “it’s like a lottery” who is getting their cars and there is no order to it.
                            This is so unacceptable!

                            Ive just been on Volvo website to “order” a new car exactly like we are getting and the earliest delivery date is 4 Weeks. NOT 9 months! That’s as a retail customer!

                              Hi UncJ

                              So I waited until 6.28pm last night for the call (as I know my dealer leaves at 6.30) as I’d had no call on return from his holiday

                              Long story short… he had the spreadsheet of ordered and names… but not had chance to look at it all day as he had 174 emails, 2 handovers and customers in the showroom to deal with!! He said he would look at it this morning it’s now 1,30pm and I have had no information, no call, no email, no nothing again,

                              He did say yesterday that customers now ordering as retail are being told 9 months wait.
                              I feel deflated, tired of chasing him, and getting nowhere. I give up!

                              Has anyone else had anymore information? Or actually gotten their car?

                              I did ask yesterday are MB customers at the back of the queue, as I know there are hundreds of 24 plates on their forecourt! He said No… we are just fleet customers so can’t be given a retail vehicle.

                              When I do eventually get my car, I’ll be making the biggest complaint known to man!

                                  So as I posted the other day the statement from Volvo we should all know today by the close of business where our cars are and date of delivery. My dealer is on holiday until Tuesday so I will know then (I knew this)

                                  Please advise us on here if anyone gets that information today.
                                  And all Volvo models have been removed from MB for the foreseeable

                                  Good Luck Guys I’m actually highly confident we will all have our new cars by early/ mid May latest (after all checks and registration etc)

                                    Ok guys so I’ve just got off the phone with my dealer (Preston)

                                    He read out a statement to me from Volvo head office regarding MB

                                    As of Tomorrow (Wednesday 17th April) close of business ALL Volvo models are being removed from MB so they can catch up with all orders

                                    As of Friday 19th April all MB customers will be notified of their order whereabouts and delivery date.
                                    Volvo dealers WILL have this information guaranteed

                                    So one way or another where are cars are we will know Friday.

                                    He has assured me I will have my car by early May latest.

                                    And Volvo has admitted it’s made a huge mess.

                                      I’ve called my dealership again this morning I’m waiting for a callback, I will update the thread
                                      Im getting a little fed up to be honest.

                                      I am new to Motability and had in the past heard of people waiting 12 months for a car (friend of mine)

                                      But on reading this thread it’s certainly not “the Norm”

                                        Has anyone actually seen a 24 plate XC40 on the road?
                                        We all live nationwide on this thread, I haven’t seen one. I live in a little Village nr Blackburn but travel to Broughton in Preston and have not seen any.
                                        My dealer is in Preston.

                                          he said he’s delivered or had collected 19 for (“normal buyers”) and 9 Motability have come through in March (I was told this 2 weeks ago)

                                          They had been sat at Port (Bristol) for 2 1/2 weeks prior to that.

                                            Hi again all, just catching up on posts since I posted a few weeks ago, it does seem we are all being told the same information as limited as it is, problems at Zeebrugge, problems at Immingham & Bristol (too many cars not enough transporters)
                                            Whether or not our cars are in our country or still stuck in Zeebrugge,</p>
                                            No names allocated alongside order numbers

                                            7000 XC40’s ordered nationwide from Dec-Feb

                                            I personally still have no official confirmation of date of delivery

                                            A few have been allocated (9) and delivered  in March as it stands from my local dealer.
                                            Hopefully we aren’t far off.

                                            Keep us updated ?? ?

                                              Hi all, I’m new to this forum and thought I’d share my experience with you all, also I have found the thread very informative (more so than my dealer)

                                              I ordered my XC40 on 29th December 2023 from Rybrook Volvo in Preston, all went well the deal was done in under half hour! I paid £500 deposit personally & used my £750 new car payment
                                              I was given a timescale of 3 months..

                                              In January the advanced payment went down by £500 so I was advised to cancel that order and re order saving myself £500

                                              I did this on 2/2/24 being told it would not affect my order due date  (that I’ve never actually had) just an approximate month, which was Late March

                                              Since this, the lad who took my order left Rybrook, I was passed to another lad.. Who left!
                                              Now I’m on my 3rd Chap, who cannot give any information as he doesn’t have it from Head office, all he could say last time we spoke is he had order numbers that were coming in but NO names against the orders?! So couldn’t tell me if one was mine.
                                              They don’t contact me.. well I suppose because they have nothing to say! No info at all.
                                              I contact him, (feel like I’m pestering) but most the time I get no call back,

                                              Like I said, contact is abysmal but on the other hand he doesn’t contact me as he knows nothing of what’s going on (his words, head office don’t send the info down)

                                              So in all honesty I’ve no idea what’s going on, I’ve tried to call today as obviously we are past late March, but I’ve had no return call as yet.

                                              Has anyone actually received their 24 Volvo yet?
