Massive shout out to Holly at Howard’s Yeovil. Two months ago they allocated me a car in stock (RWD Premium Long Range) when I ordered but today resubmitted my order, thereby saving me £2300 without a quibble. Well worth a visit if in the SW and looking at a Hyundai.

        Lovely to hear that, congrats!

Just up the road from me, so will definitely bear that in mind if my ID.4 is no further forward by next month.

Only as an extra, unless I’m mistaken*

*not sure if the top spec has them

@MLH That doesn’t sound good about the build date. I ordered mine the second week of Jan, build week confirmed two weeks later.

It’s now in the country, awaiting transport to dealer (tomorrow) and registering. Well on track for first/second week of April and plenty of time before collection date. Strange how it’s all over the place with delivery times.

Like most things EV with motability, I’m guessing it’s a lottery.

I’m not in any massive rush, anyway. I only had the charger fitted a few weeks back.

Will go down and have a sit in an ID4 with the pano and one without. If I’m not that bothered by the lack of, will likely re-order the Match Pro, and spend the savings on better tickets for the UFC in the summer 🙂

Just had a quick look at match spec and it loses leather heated steering wheel, keyless entry, tri climate control which is rear passenger climate and match has 65% tint on rear glass! Style pro has 90% and match has no pano roof which we know. Match gains electric boot, no where is style spec it says about electric boot sorry ?

It still has the Leatherette-wrapped multi-function steering wheel, heated, with touch control and the Keyless entry and starting

Happy days, every little is a bonus 🙂

Thanks so much. I didn’t realise that i lost keyless entry, so must have missed it. I had spotted the steering wheel when I checked it a short while back, and that’s no problem for me as we can preheat the car.

I’m always in the front, so not too worried about the odd back seat passenger I have. I  was under the impression that I wouldn’t have a powered tailgate, so not too disappointed that it’s not on there.

Got some time to have a mull over it, and having had a look, the panoramic roof does look lovely. Will have a chat with the salesman at VW when I get back from the boxing.

I think over 2 months without even getting a build date seems crazy, and I do like the powered tailgate so that’s an added bonus for me. My only concern is if something spectacular appears when the new deals go live, then I might end up cancelling altogether and looking at something else! Worse problems to have though I suppose

I’m not looking at anything else, so will be one of the 2 ID.4 models for me 🙂

I’ve got my charger ready to go, and possibly a Match Pro might arrive earlier than the Style Pro as I presume the Match is in production already?

I’ve emailed my dealer, I asked if they could move on the AP I’ve agreed on and he said no, as expected, so suggested cancelling my order and re-ordering the Match when it goes live. I won’t miss the 3 zone climate or the Pano roof as much as I’d miss the £700, ha. It does delay the process again slightly but it’s not a deal breaker, for me.

I called to check on mine, as I orderd it the first week of January and hadn’t heard anything yet.

Told the guy I spoke to said the order has been accepted, and he said yes but no build date yet. VW have acknowledged the order, though.

I thought they’d have done that when I put the order in back then, and it was showing as accepted.

I was asking about the powered tailgate, which the match gets, as that would make my life a lot easier. Saving £700 and getting that would be awesome. He wasn’t sure it would be on the Style Pro, and I was getting the impression it was an optional extra.

He was off when I called, but I might phone next week and change mine to the Match Pro once it’s on the scheme. Will think about it over the weekend, and take a drive down to see the guy I spoke with when I ordered the car.

See now this is making me feel like I should cancel my Style Pro order and re-order the Match trim. It’s a huge difference in price – £1499 – down to £799 essentially just losing the Pano Roof, which I can live with.

I was thinking the same! I think you just lose pano roof and tri climate control which i dont have people in back often anyway. But you gain electric boot! ?

I was going to try and figure out what the gains/losses would be between Style Pro & Match Pro.

I’m tempted to do the same, as it’s almost always only 2 in my car, and my wheelchair in the boot.

Panoramic roof looks nice, but I’ll probably only do ~5k miles a year lol.

purely going from what I can see of the charger install everything looks to be fine. Not a fan on how the gas has being bonded but that’s just being picky

                            Nice one, thanks 🙂

This will show you how clueless I am… Is that the small yellow cable running from the right  hand side into the electric box?

Think that was all done before we got here, but will mention it to my brother’s best mate next time I see him. He has his own firm, and would have done the install had it not been free with Motability.

? I expect you have already had a walk through of the App but for others picking up on this post I Personally activate lock/approve/sleep when finished and then deactivate when using the charger

Yeah, the guy that did the install said to do that 🙂

Now just waiting on VW… So might give them a call next week and see if I’ve got a build date.

My bloke was back today to fit ours, and think it all went as smoothly as it could. Worst part was him turning up at 8am 🙂

He had it all up and ready to go in 2 hours. Ran through the app with me, and left me some booklets.

I’ve got a few months before the motor is here, so plenty of time to get myself set up with the other useful atpps etc.

Think the guy that came from ‘plug-in stations’ said they’ll put their stuff in a separate box underneath our electrical box outside. Does that sound correct, or have I misunderstood him? Our boxes are both on the wall outside, and the charger pod is going on the same wall ~2 metres away.

The EV comsumer unit can go under or at the side of the meterbox but, not inside.

                                      Super, thanks as always, Kezo!

That looks exactly how he described he intended to do mine, as the charger was going to be on the same wall as our boxes.

My dad was WL in the Navy, so knew his way around, and did all our stuff in the house outside specialist things, and I could just about change a lightbulb. Well, I could if I could get on a ladder lol…

Said it should all be quite simple.

Run it out of the box there, charger can go up there.

Our little box directly under the electrical box.

Sorry to hear the aggro you’re having. Sounds like you have some terrible luck with dealers.

It happened with one of my cars a couple leases back, and they just did it all for me.

Will definitely be others much better versed in the intricacies of this, and hopefully they’ll be able to give some advice.

Would be nice, but if that happens, you can contact the dealer and have them amend it to the lower payment for you.

Almost always an easy process, unless you get someone at the dealership who thinks it’s money from their pocket you are asking for.

You can always order the Style, and then cancel if they do add the Match/GTX to the scheme?

I’d be going for a petrol/hybrid if I wasn’t driving around town 90% of the time nowadays, but it looks a lovely car for the price, and the Honda ZRV was the only other one that looks as well specced for the price.

I’d have to check my wheelchair would go in the boot, but the spec on the Honda looks fab.

We all deserve to be a little spoilt, so I wouldn’t feel bad about that 🙂

Most of my body is burning constantly thanks to my MS, so I could live without that. I definitely understand it would be a massive thing for a lot of drivers, and is quite disappointing.

That’s some fabulous news, and glad that you’ve got a line to someone so helpful within a dealership. I’m sure it’ll be there and everything will work out ok.

Will keep my fingers crossed for you, anyway 🙂
