The guy from the workshop said it was in a build or factory setting, and needed to basically be told it was finished been built. He did allsorts to it before plugging it in to be fair. He had not seen it before . I only know what i am told.
Yours may have been something more serious, mine was the same .
The car tries to obtain signal every few hours initially then reverts to twice a day thereafter and you usually get “E” symbol.
I had tech on phone for hours and reactivated services with them and they then booked in for some sort of GSM module repair, tried removing fuse rather than go workshop and then bloody worked.
Seems to do the job for 9-10 people.
Happy motoring š
The 4g was missing in the top left corner, and they hadnāt come across this before. 20 mins and and a setting altered by the workshop Bosh done
Fairly common fault, if happens in future simply remove fuse 19 (online services) for few mins
and should reset connectivity.
Saves a trip to dealer.
@bolly1143 the seat. Mine has easy access feature. Not sure if they all have it. When you get in, close door and car is on your profile and you put your foot on the brake the seat is meant to go to your preset seat position. Mine does this around 50% of the time. Other times it doesnāt move at all and I have to hold and press no 1 on the seat or it moves a bit and I think Iāve got shorter until I realise that the seat has only moved half way !!! I also tried the one press with the door open. It didnāt work. Had to hold it down for it to move.
I’ve the easy access also, just checked and mine needs single press with door open, but needs long press door shut, not sure if it’s right/wrong or software related.
Seems the luck of the draw, not had much use from the car so I’m sure it’ll change it’s mind as time goes by.
Hope you get it resolved as it can become frustrating.
Just curious how people are finding the heaters in the car, I have to turn up to 27+ to get any heat, I know early cars had issue with this and the car wouldn’t open all the flaps due to software bug.
After having the car in garage for 10 weeks with previous issue I don’t fancy waiting again for another fix.
On our other EV’s heat has been instant and really warm, but it’s really poor in our Enyaq.
Cheers š
Another update on the Enyaq. First off I must say I love the car but I feel I am always moaning about it ! New 12 volt battery was fitted, charging flap greased, and brake pedal lubricated. Great. Had it a few days now and brake pedal still squeaking , drivers seat still intermittently wonāt return to correct position, charging flap intermittently isnāt releasing and this morning had a message when I tried to start the car ākey not detected. Hold next to intended surfaceā Thinking the remote battery was low I hobbled back into the house got the spare set and tried it ā same thing. Was about to call Å koda assist when I remembered want people have been saying. Lock the car and walk away, swear a bit ( quietly as daughter in the car) and come back to it. I did that and it started !! Hopefully itās a one off but it doesnāt inspire confidence in the car and Iām going on a road trip with the car next month! Could be a stressful holiday.
Regards the seat, not sure if you’re aware. When the doors closed you have to hold the button for it to return to saved position.
Safety feature if you have multiple drivers so they don’t simply press button and become squashed if preset is set for smaller person for example.
I think if doors open single press returns to saved position (will check later). However yours could be faulty but just a thought.
Just an update on my car. It has had several intermittent error messages and an easy access seat that works when it feels like it. It was diagnosed with a faulty 12 volt battery and other unspecified parts ( which I think is the battery cover! ) which is due to be replaced today. When leaving the car in I told the service manager about another few problems that have appeared the last few weeks. My brake pedal is squeaking and last night it took 5 attempts to get the charging flap open! He said I really need to leave the car for a few days to get the issues sorted and for them to physically see them. I said thatās fine if you can give me a courtesy car as I have hospital appointments and a family funeral to attend. He said the fleet has been cut in half so I have no chance of getting a courtesy car! Said I would get the car back today and if problems persist I will have to bring car back yet again. If the car still misbehaves would motability arrange a courtesy car or would this be a nightmare? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Motability arranged a courtesy car for us as dealer was hopeless, car arrived next day.
Currently had it approaching 10 weeks as our Enyaq is still awaiting parts, charge flap is common fault and usually faulty actuator which dealer should be well aware of.
Hope your issues are fixed quickly š
Finally got my Enyaq 85 looked at yesterday at dealers due to random error messageās ranging from speed sign recognition malfunction, sos malfunction, rear parking sensors malfunction, rear collision assist malfunction, left rear indicator malfunction and 12 volt battery warning to name but a few. Most have just randomly appeared over the last few months then disappeared! My real gripe was the easy access system not returning my seat to the correct position! It only got it correct about 50% of the time. Got call from dealer and apparently all the issues relate to the 12 volt battery system. A new battery and other parts have been ordered but they are on back order and donāt know when they will be available. They have charged the 12 volt battery to keep me mobile. No errors this morning and seat moved to correct positionš took child to school and got in and seat wouldnāt move automatically again! Dealer said car is safe or they wouldnāt let me drive it. Just hope this isnāt the start of difficult journey. I did google about the 12 volt battery on Enyaq and apparently the dealers had to replace the 12 volt battery when they were doing a software update due to issues but thought this was all sorted for 2024 model but it appears not or Iāve just been unlucky with a faulty battery.
Sadly the issues still exist as mine is having some of your problems amongst others, cars been at service centre approaching 7 weeks with parts on back order also and no idea when they will arrive.
I had error messages a few hours after collection which they suggested was 12v battery however it’s been a number of parts need replacing, hope you get a quick resolution.
Can anyone tell me if you can manually turn on the battery pre conditioning? Iāve just watched a review that said it will turn on automatically if you have programmed a charging destination into the Sat nav.
You can if itās running latest software, thatās why owners are annoyed who have older versions as Skoda are very poor with updates.
Mine is one of the troublesome cars sadly but I agree that when the cars working fine they are a great vehicle.
The problem seems to be if you do have any issues with the car your in for a considerable wait unfortunately.
I’m on most of the FB owners groups and the common factor is the huge wait for repair, it’s generally months for most owners, for a car costing approx 50k you would think they have some urgency having it back on the road.
There will be exceptions but Skoda dealerships in general seem to have the attitude of “it”ll be fixed when it’s fixed” Ā and not every dealership is equipped to deal with EV repairs.
Mine was refused to be dropped off at 2 dealerships as they didn’t have EV technicians so ended up finally being dropped at the third the recovery driver went too, some 90 minutes drive away.
Anyhow, enough moaning for now and happy trouble free motoring to everyone š

bolly1143.
In themselves most software issues/glitches arenāt usually a major issue, just annoying, but, when something does become a problem it can take weeks or months to diagnose, get parts and fix things. A battery cell failure is a massive problem, luckily it doesnāt happen often but there are owners whoās cars have been to transported to dealerships hundreds of miles away all over the country as their local dealer has no idea so has it sent to another dealer who can diagnose the problem but isnāt qualified to work on the battery, he then sends it to another dealer who is the only one able to do the job. .
Exactly the problem I had, car was transported to local dealer who did not have diagnosis equipment for car, he then sent elsewhere and they did not have trained EV specialist, so mine ended up finally at 3rd dealership who diagnosed car and awaiting parts and who is 90 minutes drive away.
Iām waiting on my Enyaq just now and iām really looking forward to getting it. I have a couple of questions regarding these errors that people keep seeing. Bolly1143 shows many pictures of faults but are these actual problems that need replacement parts or is it the result of the software. I currently drive a SEAT Leon and apart from the faults specific to the electric drive, my car throws these same faults up once in a while. I donāt think these issues are new to the VW groupās cars and I genuinely donāt think theyāll be eradicated any time soon. I raised these with the dealer soon after getting my car and was told just to ignore them, it happens all the time. I even have the odd occasion when the infotainment and cockpit screens go black for a minute or so when driving. I know many people who have issues like this over VW, SEAT, Audi and Skoda cars. Itās a joke that a company of this size canāt get their act together. Even with all these gremlins though, I still love my Leon and will be sad to see it go. Also, when I test drove the Enyaq I asked if the easy access seat could be turned off and was told it could in the menu. I couldnāt find it when I was playing with the screen so it would be good know if there is anything Skoda can do to turn it off at the garage rather than having to select the guest user and then change it. I really hope the issues you are having are ironed out before mine arrives which probably wonāt be until September.
Hi
The total tally of faults will probably be a combination of software/components, but mine does need parts as they are sadly on back-order, I think 3 parts in total. Dealer said main one is either HV or DC convertor, forgot which one he said and 2 smaller parts.
Easy access could be turned off in ours, although ours has both front memory seats, not sure if different for drivers memory only.
Hopefully yours will be trouble free, I can actually live with issues for a reasonable time and am reasonable but the repair times are ridiculous due to lack of EV trained technicians.
Iāve noticed a few people have issues with the memory seats, not sure if some of you are aware but if the doors open or your not sat in seat you just need a single press but when the doors closed you need to keep button pressed to move to saved position.
I think itās a safety feature so you donāt have seat moving while driving and if seat settings have maybe been changed and you jump in and press button you donāt get squashed against steering wheel if using a single press, etc. Ā Hence why it needs a constant press so can be stopped immediately.
Ask them to update the software though- itās really important to make sure youāre on the latest version. if they say 4.0 is the latest, they are wrong as I have 4.1 on mine.
I’ll have them update if necessary, not sure if it’s 4.0 or 4.1 to be honest.
Hopefully the issues will be fixed once parts have been replaced, and software update if needed.
Had errors once home after collection ,they did vanish after a few hours then returned day after. Errors again after maybe 4 days then vanished Ā after a few hours again, by this time I was worried about using the car and where I was parking as one of the warning was in multi-storey car park which I knew would be a nightmare to get car recovered.
Day 6 car wouldn’t select drive or reverse and finally gave up with too may errors, recovery guy came and couldn’t get his diagnosis machine to connect to car so gave up and said he would arrange recovery with specialist truck the following day.
Heard nothing for 2 days and phoned motability to see what was happening and recovery bloke had marked the job as completed/fixed, so motability then arranged courtesy car and for recovery of car.
Im fairy patient and understanding but I really can’t fathom how the wait for parts can be so long, they are producing cars and shipping them in a shorter timescale than mine will have been in for repair.
If parts arrive on time, the car (5 days old) would her been at the service centre for 3 months. There is just no urgency in fixing a very expensive and literally new vehicle.
I realise these problems happen but Skoda support have been hopeless, when I phoned for an update they said the car had not even been inspected but I knew otherwise and the app had been telling me doors/bonnet etc had been open a number of hours.
Just for reference mine had 14 issues at the last count. That’s besides the smaller faults such as stuck charging door, temperamental electric seat, etc
Hopefully it’ll be fine after being fixed but I’ve a feeling it’s going to be one of those troublesome cars.
Have a great day folks š
Sadly we had a poor start to Enyaq ownership, car had errors day after collection.
Mainly 12v battery warning and electric drive error, car would not go into drive.
Managed to get car going after locking/unlocking, turning car off/on for maybe an hour as we were in middle of nowhere so would have struggled with recovery.Nearly one week later and same problem but car would not move regardless, had to be recovered with loads of errors now appearing and has been at service centre for 3 weeks awaiting parts which may take up to 8 weeks.
Motability have been great and very prompt providing temporary vehicle but Skoda have been useless with any updates (or lack of).
Hope other owners have more reliability than ours.-
