thanks for the reply’s. The Gard x has been cancelled and the sound system meant I had to re order the car from new so would have been a 3 month wait so I just left it as it is but cancelled Gard X which was the main thing. Appreciate all the reply’s and opinions thanks

Thank you belfast4 I will give them call very soon. Does anyone with the Harmon Kardon sound system think it is worth it to get as an extra compared to the standard Volvo xc40 sound system. I actually thought the plus pro came with the Harmon Kardon system but apparently it doesn’t thank you

Thank you for the reply’s I’m guessing it’s the Gard X. I jst remember hearing him say gard and then explained what it was. Am I able to just call up and tell him to cancel this gard option or would I have to take my mum who’s car it is all the way back to the dealership to alter this off the order and also ask them to upgrade the sound system to the Harmon Kardon instead thank you for the reply’s

Oh wow you’ve put a spanner in the works with the MG. I thought all Hybrids was plug in. I thought they was all self charging but the saleman in bmw said the Xdrive X1 had to be plugged in so just presumed it was the case for all cars 🙈 ha. I’m going to have to try and see the MG HS Hybrid+ tomorrow and hopefully get a test drive of it.

Yes I’m hoping that she finds more comfort in 1 of them. As that will be the clear winner if she’s does. She has already sat in both and has said both are comfy. She will be in them tomorrow when I’m test driving them so hopefully she likes 1 of them more. If she can’t decide and I can’t I will jst go with what other people are advising 😊

Think that’s part of the issue I’m not very clued up when it comes to cars meself to be honest.

The trouble with the Hybrid cars is I’m not able to charge the car at the house as it’s restricted so the car has to be parked a fair distance away from the house so charging it wouldn’t be possible.

Thanks for your input everyone I really appreciate it. It looks like most people are saying the XC40. I have a test drive booked for the XC40 tomorrow afternoon so hopefully 1 of the cars stands out to me as a clear winner otherwise it will be a very tough decision to make ha.

@ajn what cars do you think are better that are currently on the scheme in your opinion please.

Thanks for all the replies everyone I appreciate it. My Mum likes the X1 and the XC40 and is comfortable getting in and out of both. Just need to make a decison on what car to go for

Just been and test drove the X1 it was a great drive and a lot nippier than I expected for a 1.5L. I’m now torn between getting the X1 or the Volvo XC40 just waiting to have a test drive of the XC40 and hopefully there is a stand out winner 🙏 thanks

Hello Kdwolf thanks for your reply mate. Oh yes of course. I have an Audi a4 now and she really struggles getting in and out of the car with it being to low for her. She needs something higher up but not to high. I have taken her to the show room before now for her to look and pick them and she’s happy getting in and out of them although she still needs help. It’s a lot easier for her than getting in and out of low cars. She’s chosen the cars that she is comfortable and happy with and then left it to me to test drive and find the car I think best suits. Strange on the mobility website there is 2 option for sDrive and also a xDrive. You could be right tho I’m not sure tbh. Thanks for your reply tho I appreciate it

Yes I went in the show room and had a look at both the X1 and X2 and they was both the exact same inside same layout and materials etc. The only difference is when I sat in the back of the X2 my head was nearly hitting the ceiling were as the X1 felt more spacious for taller people. Not that I would ever be in the back tbh ha. I can’t decide on the car to go for and then I know once the car is chosen picking the colour will be another issue ha.  You cant go wrong with either think it’s just what you like more on they external and if tall people are going to be in the back.

I’m thinking to go with a he Xdrive over the Sdrive also more bhp and 4wd I think. Not sure if it is necessary tho.

The X2 is a brilliant car hope your enjoying it my mate

Thanks for the reply’s everyone I appreciate it a lot. I was told a while back to not tell them at first that it’s mobility as the customer service drops a lot which seems to have happened. I’ve rang BMW think I have a test drive tomorrow but they said they would call me today to confirm the car will be there but I haven’t heard anything from them. So I have to go tomorrow an hope for the best. I rang Audi this morning and they said they will get someone to call me back within the next hour or so and ive heard nothing back from them. Also Volvo was the exact same I haven’t had a call back.

Hopefully everything is fine and I can get a test drive tomorrow of the BMW. And I might just turn up at Audi and Volvo afterwards a see if I can get a test drive. has anybody else experienced this on Mobility. I’ve bought cars new in the past and they have always been very eager to ring back. Guessing the sales lads don’t get much or any commission on mobility cars. Congrats on the car Joss it looks great. Is there any reason why you choose the X2 over the X1 or you just liked the look of it more. The X1 and the X2 are cars that are up there with my top choices but can’t decide which car I like the most out of them thanks mate
