Ive noticed a problem with the original thread, taking me to page 1 of the thread. Assuming its the same problem as my original Brexit thread (stolen by WMC lol) that there were too many pages, i have started another weather thread (stolen from lightbodyae55 lol).

Sunny and 23c. Mowed the grass.
July 26, 2025 at 8:51 am #31034524C. Cloud, sun, rain in that order of severity. Hoping to do the lawn myself today. Hope it stays dry enough because it has not been done for more weeks than I can remember.
July 29, 2025 at 11:26 am #310598Started off well chilly (14C). Now warmed to 22C but remains stubbornly grey with medium-to-heavy showers. Most unpleasant.
July 29, 2025 at 5:08 pm #310616Very pleasant day 18*C with sunny spells 🌞

August 3, 2025 at 12:31 pm #31080122c no rain until late tonight, which is a surprise (well not really!) as BBC yesterday forcast 80-90% rain for almost the whole of today!.
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
August 4, 2025 at 10:11 am #310816Forecast is for high winds and heavy rain. We’ve had some rain but still waiting on the high winds. Just as I’m texting this the winds have picked up 😞.
wind speeds of 60mph hour forecast let’s hope they’ve got that wrong and we get a nice breeze instead🤞Ive got the daughters dog with me so looks like she’ll be confined to the back garden rather than her daily walk.

August 7, 2025 at 5:07 pm #310905Pretty much all-over grey. Glimpse of sun once in a while. Warm-ish at 23C. Looking much brighter and warmer after weekend with 28C forecast for end of next week.
August 8, 2025 at 4:14 pm #310962What a difference a day makes….
Sunny, warm, dry and still 👍
August 9, 2025 at 9:42 am #310978Same as, @ajn except change “still” to “breezy”. Started at 15C not doing 22C’ will go higher.
Now, wasy back at start of the gardening season, I promised to posdt some snaps of our bonkers baskets and boxes. They’re now in flower so here’s a selection of our 53 bits. These, by the way, are nearly all our own work. Plants were salvaged from last year’s set and over wintered – even a petunia made it through!
August 9, 2025 at 1:59 pm #310986Tharg that’s a lovely display right there, what a lovely place to sit, relax and just take in the view and any passing, visiting wild life…
love it love it love it, well done chap 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Sunny patches of cloud and a very brisk breeze..
🌺🌺💐
August 10, 2025 at 8:38 am #311017Thanks @ajn Must point out that all the “technical” processes with over-wintering etc is done by Madam Tharg, aka Marg. She knows which plants to choose, where and how to keep them over the cold times and how and when to plant etc. I do the simpler (Idiot’s Guide…) stuff like watering (1 hour minimum – 53 pots), feeding, dead-heading. We both enjoy it, particularly when the front-of-house display gets neighbours and passers-by to stop and chat/Great fun.
Weather today will head towards 23C or more. Bright, clear and very little wind – latter most useful for spraying drive to kill weeds; can’t risk the weed killer get on flowers. Also got a teak garden bench which needs a couple of coats of oil.
Quite right about great place to sit and watch (and listen). This week been endlessly entertained by blackbird’s endlessly inventive tunes. Other garden birds have included a couple of woodpeckers, just about every garden commoner – long-tailed tits are most entertaining. Overhead this week have had a couple of buzzards, sparrow hawk, kestrel, peregrine, egrets and herons AND two passes by the “trips round the bay” Spitfire.
August 10, 2025 at 10:14 am #311024Well Thanks Marg, (Madam T) for keeping Tharg on track with your knowledge that has brought all this interest and pleasant viewing to me, others and the wild life..
Great moon last light, lovely morning, sunny warm still, great day ahead to all..
August 11, 2025 at 9:11 am #311092Clear, bright and well warm – 23C now, heading for 27C at least. Essential action for today – know when to stop whatever you’re doing. Put down gardening tools; go to garden bench; sit; watch flying things; ensure Panama ‘at is on and water bottle is cold.
Thanks for your thought @ajn Marg ‘n’ me are pleased to have entertained!
August 11, 2025 at 11:04 am #311094Lovely day here with clear skies and 25.7C temps.

August 11, 2025 at 1:02 pm #311106Well fantastic sunny bright morning, however the last hour has turned gloomy, overcast hopefully no rain…
Yes @Menorca Mike it’s great, Tharg and his Wife got a lovely spot there, a joy to see…
August 13, 2025 at 6:52 am #311172Overcast this morning, but boiling last night hardly got any sleep, going to be knackered later, saying more sun later 🥵..
August 13, 2025 at 10:40 am #311182Lovely sunny day here, forecast for 28c this afternoon.
Been up since 7am, did a full 8kg wash last night (thanks Octopus!) and out to dry this morning.
Now stuck in the house for about 2 hours doing a range booking conference over Teams with the MoD 🙁
Off out for a late lunch about 2pm!
Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
August 13, 2025 at 7:08 pm #311211It’s been grey, dull and nothing like the forecasts. It did NOT brighten p.m. there WAS rain. Most disappointing after yesterday when the temperature got to 30C under a bright, cloud-free sky. Met Office says tomorrow will be rain-free, no clouds and hitting 23C. Wait and see I suppose….
