March 12, 2023 at 10:35 am #214932Morning @Kezo Sort answer is no. However. I do have the kit in me wardrobe. I’ll fit it as when I can remember to do so lol. Its only a basic kit of LED strips and controller. I might use it on my PC monitor and buy something better for the TV.

Govee do various ones.
My LG is a gallery series so fits flush to the wall leaving the only option to fit them to the sides which will look naf. Therefore I’m thinking of either going the route fitting them behind the cabinets either side or simply something along the lines of a hue/aura bulb I can intergrate with the wifi, just to choose an ambient colour which actually works well.
March 12, 2023 at 5:24 pm #214990@Kezo How about using spacers to move the TV off the wall a little Kezo. So that you could install behind the TV ? Have a look on Amazon for “Fancy LED sync boxes“to give you an idea. The link is my preferred option.

If you have 5mins take a look at this short video showing how it mounts to the wall and clicks into place. As its the gallery series it doesn’t come with a stand. I could get a normal vessa mount if push comes to shove.
March 12, 2023 at 7:17 pm #214995@joss the Fancy sync box doesn’t look to disimilar from the Philps Hue sync box/kit, although its dearer. The Fancy sync would have to be importorted from the US!
Perhaps we should all have Philips Ambilight TV’s 🙂
I might attach an HDM to an anduino Aura lamp I made for daughters bedroom and see how it reacts and play about with the code, when I get 5.

I was kind of hoping they would have wrapped a TV up for you ?
Glad you had a good time and enjoyed your dinner with famiy, hopefully finishing with a bit of cake for desert! I was only saying on here the other day Ive had both new BMW 530d and X5 3.0d off the scheme when I had my own business still do to a lesser extet but, wouldn’t pay the AP they would command in the unlikely event they came on the scheme as I’d have nothing back after 3yrs. I would like another range rover one day, which may happen sooner than later if there is nothings suitable on the scheme next time.
Where are you bow TV wise as I’d wrongly assumed you had ordered the LG?

LOL at least its not only me then!
Did you watch the video to get an idea how my TV bracket works?
At the moment my TV is back in the box as I haven’t finished the living room after soundproofing and need to decorate/paint. Prior to doing that Ive got to sand the sh!t plastering down because the plaster was crap , so waiting for the warmer weather.
I have plenty of time to think about it along with the possibility of going a normal slimline vessa mount so your suggestions welcome 🙂
March 13, 2023 at 10:25 am #215061@wmcforum Are you still happy with factory settingings. Were ou able to see the cricket scores better?

Ok lets try again. Yes I watched the video Kezo. Its a nice system for fitting the TV, My suggestion is that you could still make this work. By using 4 steel tubes about an inch long, or maybe half an inch would do it. Fixing bolts would need to be an inch longer to accommodate the steel tubes. That would then give the space for the LED’s to shine out.

Previous car:Peugeot 308 GT Premium 1.2 Pure tech Petrol.March 13, 2023 at 12:03 pm #215077@joss I get what you mean and has actually given me an idea-If I print a 3D frame to fit around the back of the bracket and strenghen it as in building it up so it looks like attached individual squares, it would look part of the bracket when its on the wall. It would them loook like a spacer 🙂

Unfortunately all LCDs suffer a certain degree of backlight bleed because the opacity of LCD panels is not enough to block all light, allthough its only really visable on darker scenes where certain area’s of the screen look lighter than the rest (top & botton sides or corners mainly) Blooming is also a characteristic of LCD panels due to the inabilty to control individuals pixels, however its more noticeable on a set with full array local dimming especially if there’s not enough dimming zones. Motion, clouding and banding is another inherent characteristic of LCD panels.
These aren’t faults as its just the nature of LCD panels having the need for a backlight and unless you have ever had a Plasma or OLED or to some extent a CRT panel if everone existed in 4k youd except the picture as been pefecly exceptable and good quality, For example wmc has just renewed his 2016 Sony for the hisense and is impressed with the qled picture quality but, even that will have the same characteristics inherent on an LCD panel to a similar extent.
I’ll continue to look at 2022 models as 2023 year TV’s are introduced but what I’ll find different to already I don’t know within your budget 🙂
March 13, 2023 at 8:58 pm #21511234 pages not for nothing. We got the Hisesne E7H (43inch). ‘er indorrs reports everythign looks eally bright. Think maybe the LG needed replacing rather sooner. Things seem to have moved on a bit in the 5 and a half years since we last set up a TV. Getting signed in to Prime, DisneyPlus, Netflix eetc. all very easy nowadays. Enjoying myself using Alexa to override the fact that I don’t have control of the remote.
