Following on from Teddy’s previous post regarding when to order.

i have spoken to a few dealers today via phone and email. I asked for £1000 off the AP for the Tiguan. Whilst most said no, I’m guessing the few that did want to talk will negotiate some discount. But, is it wise to order now or wait till brexit sweeps uk when supposedly car dealerships will be extremely quiet as no cars are selling?

If we leave on WTO and a 10% tariff applies this could result in much higher AP’s. If we leave with a deal and transition period there should no difference. As it is becoming more difficult to predict it is very much a heads or tails scenario.

Then of course we might leave in March on WTO Article 24 terms which leaves us continuing trading with the EU tariff free, until such time as anything else gets agreed.  What ever happens, prices aren’t going to shoot up.
