Just ordered my Toyota CHR 1.8 hybrid Design model for March 16th pick up talked on phone to the motability man at his home has had his card from test drive over a month ago ! He says delivery could be 10 weeks it’s the new 2021 spec with new front and rear lights and ambient lighting inside he is going into showroom next week just 5 miles from me so I’m dropping my licence and pips award letter off for him ! The design model has everything I want keyless entry heated seats park assist auto folding mirrors 18 inch alloys sat nav etc I’m having metal stream met paint very popular on Chr forum changes from grey to silver depending on light looks nice with the big silver face alloys

I don’t see why you can’t have it on a motability car, my Corolla is a company car and the only thing I can think of is there is an option to add details from your log book for you to prove ownership to get the best from the app, and because we don’t own the cars we have no log book.

If that was the case, it would mean anyone on a PCP etc would also be unable to use the app. No experience with the app from Toyota, but the BMW app worked fine as does the Hyundai app for me as a motability customer

Marc which Corolla do you have ? I see the Corolla icon tech 1.8 hybrid is just £245 I ever had a test drive as salesman told me to low for me is it low to get in ?
My Corolla is a GR Sport estate, very nice indeed. It’s no lower than any other similar car and I’m guessing if you had no problem with the Golf you would have been okay.
As for the My Toyota app I don’t see the problem, it’s not like Toyota’s app is dodgey it’s an official app. I’m guessing more cars are on some sort of lease than not, so the drivers will not have the log book. I don’t know what extras you get from entering the log book details but there is an option to download map updates directly to the car when the car is connected to the home wifi but mine would not do it, I’m guessing to alter software directly to the car you need more proof of ownership.
Toyota provide instructions on how to download the maps to a laptop, it’s 12 gb, then unzip to a memory stick and update via the cars usb. I updated the map yesterday, you get three years updates free of charge.

Thankyou for your help as I have mentioned I’m a tight fisted person and like to monitor my mpg it’s showing 61 to 65 up to now which is very good what mpg is your Corolla showing ? My Golf was getting to low for me Ido like the height of the CHR and the higher up driving position
In the last week I’ve driven 151.3 miles and averaged 61.1 mpg about 110 miles of that was motorway. May be best if you request the log book details from motability to enter the code into the Toyota app to unlock all of its potential.

Yes the 2 litre would be better on the motorway I can’t remember the costs but it was a lot more money, this is a company car where my employer pays a lease company to provide me with a car and if I want something better I have to pay the difference, monthly, taken out of my pay a bit like an AP but monthly over the 4 year lease. I’m paying £83 a month for the 1.8 Corolla Estate GR Sport. I’ve had the standard free white paint, if I wanted metalic that was an extra £10 a month so an extra £480 over the 4 year lease, I would not pay that so I would not pay even more for the 2 litre.
That said the 1.8 is plenty fast enough for me.
