CapuchinI know a few of us are eagerly awaiting delivery of these so thought I’d make a thread so we can all keep track of updates etc
Ordered ultimate Misty jungle (with light leather) on 9th November. Delivery slated for end of March. Dealer has had no update yet.

JoshI have a 64kw dark Knight premium waiting at the docks for delivery. It is a business lease, was due for delivery to dealer July 19th, now no confirmed date.
Frustrating as my current lease vehicle is being returned on July 29th!
What’s the typical turnaround from the docks?
July 23, 2022 at 3:37 pm #191547Allegedly 2-3 weeks from docks to you – this was taking a lot longer, but I think things are slowly getting back to normal – get my car Tuesday – arrived at docks very ends of last month.
Fwippers thanks for the link – will take a look – tho it does add weight to the sun stroke theory ???
July 23, 2022 at 4:42 pm #191552I suspect many of you have seen this link – but I have been watching again to ensure I understand how to use nav – how to link phone and use apple car play and some other tech.
After I swop car on Tuesday I intend to go for a drive maybe to NT place, but just to put miles on the clock and get to know the car – hopefully the link maybe of use to some of you; especially if you are soon to take delivery of your Kona. ?

John DaviesI’ve just called around to my dealers, the car has arrived at last, and is on their premises, and will be mine in days or even hours?, ordered on 26th Nov 21 Kona E Ultimate in black Knight, I’m now starting to wish I’d done a bit more reading up about it and watched a few more videos to customise myself a bit more, this is my first mobility car, so I’ve take a few hints from all of you and got some car mats and boot protector, is there anything else I should do to protect the car for its hand back in three years time, thanks, and I hope you all receive your cars very soon..

JonDHello- first time poster, but have been lurking since my partner ordered a Kona Ev ultimate on the scheme at the start of February.
Just been told that ours has arrived and will be ready to pick up next week! I hope many of you will be receiving your Konas sooner than expected too-it seems Hyundai might be getting on top of the backlog.
i will give my impressions once I’ve driven it a while, but I must say that the test drive was the most fun I’ve had driving any car! It’s the perfect height for my partner who has trouble getting in and out of low cars and it has seat COOLING, which is a valuable feature for someone with MS, especially if these heatwaves continue.
it’s the 64kwh ultimate in white and we ordered from Hyundai Stafford, who were very helpful and honest in explaining the scheme and giving a realistic time estimate (told us at least September, which would have been about right at the time).
July 24, 2022 at 2:15 pm #191590Hi John Davies and JonD and welcome – I collect my car on Tuesday and it will be my 6th on the scheme – I cannot remember all the change overs, but certainly the last few I have received money back for good condition – ranging between £250 and £500.
I wouldn’t say I am a fanatic about looking after my cars, but not careless either – I do clean my car quite regularly which helps to reveal any chips or surface scratches – but other than that and the initial carpets it just gets used – I don’t do a high mileage being retired – 8k – 11k annually.
My advise just enjoy your car – Motability are very good, they come and collect it for service etc.
So all things considered Motability works out very well for me – so I hope we all enjoy our cars and maybe share some of our experiences and advice concerning our growing understanding of the car ???
July 24, 2022 at 4:38 pm #191595<p style=”text-align: left;”>We are all counting down the day’s, and it’ll be interesting next week to see people’s opinions and what ranges we are getting. I see the thread has surpassed 1000, perhaps a record for a non sticky?</p>

Angus MckinnonI ordered my kona ultimate the end of December I’ve had three delivery dates starting with April then June and now end of August. I can see lot’s of people have already got their cars on here but I’m getting a little frustrated at the time it’s taking. Has anyone else that ordered around the same time as me still waiting.
July 24, 2022 at 8:39 pm #191618Hi Angus. I ordered end of November and due to pickup this week, so late December order with late August pickup seems in line. Wait times seem to be 7-9 months for Ultimate trim, the difference probably due to colour choice/interior leather colour and build slots available to dealers. Hyundai do seem to have sorted out delays at Tilbury so I would remain positive.
July 25, 2022 at 8:40 am #191632Angus I ordered my 64kwh Uktimate in Pulse Red on 15 Nov last year and the Dealer informs me that it has not yet shipped and is expected in the UK mid Oct.

CarlWe order a Jon’s premium on the end of February and have been told it could be end of August or beginning of September
July 25, 2022 at 11:19 am #191678I ordered end of October – pick up tomorrow.
I agree with fwippers – the one thing we have learnt over the months is it is very difficult to understand Hyundai logic in build and shipping – we know shortage of chips played a big part and possibly was the reason for ultimate taking longer ie more chips.
But I suspect some cars are built not too a specific order but to the most popular colour spec etc – then just your luck if it matches your order – when they are gone – then you wait for the next batch of specific colour spec etc.But I do understand the frustration – many of us have been there.
It will be 9 months for me – some have been fortunate with nearer 3 months and I’m sure some unlucky people will be more than me.
Take comfort that you could have easily chosen a manufacturer with a much longer order time – ID3 comes to mind.July 25, 2022 at 1:48 pm #191706I ordered end of October – pick up tomorrow. Colour certainly seems to play a part, the trim too and thirdly, dealer build slots. I know my dealer ordered the car with Hyundai the day I saw him, others have to wait for build slots. The ID.3, the last I heard had appx 12-15 month wait, VW quote 44 weeks. This time tomorrow you´ll have your Kona, I have a long 48 hours additional wait!
July 25, 2022 at 2:05 pm #191708Fwippers – if you are anything like me – you will go into full on geek mode. – the video I last posted I have watched again – screen recorded on my phone and cut and sliced in a video app to short – how to clips – so – once in new car I will pair phone – pair apple car play and put it into auto for recuperating to the battery – then off on a few hours driving.
This is assuming I don’t get a call tomorrow morning – not quite ready yet – it was the Surrey wild fires or they have only charged to 40% – I’m not really a pessimistic person, but there have been so many false dawns. I almost expect a final twist ??

JoshChased hyundai again and they said the car is still at the docks and cars aren’t moving due to a lack of drivers! They weren’t committing to a delivery date but said cars were taking approx 6 weeks to get out of the docks ?

Like a good novel! We have given our car a good clean inside and taken out most of our personal belongings. If I felt inclined, I could pop down to the dealer and have a look at it. That would be almost a tenner in fuel for a 40 mile round trip.
July 25, 2022 at 2:28 pm #191712At least the car is here in the UK. Many on this forum are to collect this week or have collected cars which arrived at Tilbury only 4 weeks ago, or a little less

Angus MckinnonThanks for the updates from all of you. We ordered ours in pulse red so maybe that’s got something to do with it. My current car is owned by me and I’m planning to sell it once new car arrives. The annoying thing about that is my cars loosing value every month so I’m going to end up worse off when I eventually sell it

It´s possible that your car is gaining value, certainly over the past year used car prices have risen.

Tillyman, having watched both your concerns and excitement on this thread during this long wait I’m so happy for you that you’ve got to this point. Enjoy the next 24 hours because it’s going to be great. Drive carefully tomorrow as you are going to be on a huge high.
I’m really pleased for you, have a great day!
