April 6, 2023 at 7:23 am #218026
Graham CatonThank you Nigel will have a look
April 6, 2023 at 8:54 am #218037Hi @Graham Caton,
there’s a post earlier in this thread (26th August 2022) from @joss which gives a link and YouTube fitting video for ‘Team Hero’ wind deflector kits. I’ll be looking to fit the when my car finally arrives!

Current car Hyundai Kona Ultimate EVApril 6, 2023 at 9:38 am #218051It’s the “Heko” wind deflectors you want to go for, there are a few sellers offering them inc Mick’s garage on both ebay and amazon.
If you google the company it’s based in Poland and very good to use to find the model number for your own vehicle, it then makes it easier to search for your specific version and find a deal.
April 6, 2023 at 9:57 am #218056I fitted wind deflectors last August – couldn’t get the deflectors Joss suggested so bought these

They are more fiddly to fit – need to be lined up carefully before peeling off paper and sticking – but they have been great – no issues at speed – no sign of them coming adrift – just ensure it is a dry and reasonably warm day when applying.Hope this helps if any of you have difficulty sourcing the other style – I will post a picture of them fitted to my car – I have done this previously – way back in August.

As promised
Hope this helps ?

Graham CatonAnybody know the name of the ship docking at Tilbury on 03/05/23 as apparently my car is on it, by the time I get it, will have been 13 month wait. Waiting with baited breath.
April 6, 2023 at 12:22 pm #218096I remember the feeling well Graham – but it’s the start of the end – I’m sure the tingles anticipation and excitement have started ??
April 6, 2023 at 6:54 pm #218162Hi @Graham Caton, the Morning Lena is due to dock in Tilbury on 29th April. I can’t see anything for May so it may just have gained a few days?

Warren DixI think the Morning Lena could be vehicle carrier docking at Tilbury 5/5/23, not 100% but could be the one to watch. Hopefully someone can confirm.

TerryOhme home pro. Looks complicated…. Time will tell

TerryOrdered a Kona Ulitmate 64kw on 31st March. Dealer says they cannot be ordered anymore, only available is what is already on order by the dealer. I wanted black with the light interior, but have taken white with black interior. Really happy to get a car with a great range and the right height for me to get into.
Dealer says it is on a ship currently and to expect deliver late May or early June.
How do I look up the ships coming from South Korea to UK, I see people mentioning different ships arriving.
April 10, 2023 at 10:36 am #218625Hi Terry – just noticed your post. – I have been using OHME since august – just plug it in and use the app on my phone – I have not used start at a time or finish at a time as OVO is the same price day and night – I usually wait until the miles left are around 200 then charge it – the app shows the miles put on – so when it gets to just over 100 ie 300 + in battery I stop.
It is particularly useful on frosty mornings – plug it in and defrost car – windscreen back and front and mirrors in about 10 mins – I haven’t used it on hot days as the sunroof works just fine – if you are parked in direct sunshine – I’m not – you may want to use a screen for front and steering wheel – I do this when I am parked on hot days away from home – hope this helps – enjoy the car ?April 10, 2023 at 12:37 pm #218631
TerryThank you Tillyman. I am getting the EV tariff from Power NI which is half price at night but Ohme haven’t teamed up with them. I don’t do big miles so if I get it wrong and charge at full price it’s no odds. Northern Ireland is behind the times.
Have worked out the ship coming from South Korea so need to ask my dealer what ship it’s on.
First brand new car, usually buy demonstration or ex branded lease. I am like at kid waiting for Santa at Christmas.

Ian WebsellHello Everyone.
hope you are all enjoying you new EV, those of you that have taken delivery.
I’ve been reading that EV home chargers are now been stolen by thieves across the UK. I have spoken to my home insurance company and they DO NOT cover home chargers, not even with an ‘add on’ I have also spoken to Motability and they DO NOT cover them with the RSA Insurance either.
I just thought I would mention this so you can all make sure you are covered by asking your Home Insurance Company to add it or change companies when the time is due.
Let me know if you have any Home Insurance Company that does. As ours is due soon.
Thank you ?April 12, 2023 at 10:59 am #218761Hi Ian – thanks for the info on insurance cover for charging box.
I have just come off the phone from Tesco insurance and they have assured me that it comes under building and that I am covered for theft or damage.
However I think it is worth people checking on their individual policies – I think it is surprising that Motability don’t cover it – I wonder if it is something they haven’t thought of and that it will eventually be added to the vehicle insurance.
I hope this is of use to some of you ?
April 12, 2023 at 12:12 pm #218783
TerryOurs is covered with Lloyds Home premium buildings cover as it is hard wired for theft or vandalism etc. It is also covered under the accidental damage cover if I was to reverse into it!!
April 12, 2023 at 1:05 pm #218792
Ian WebsellYes I thought it would be covered with my Buildings insurance, but it’s not with my current insurer. Which is why I phoned Motability, they also said they don’t cover it either.
So I will be looking to move insurance companies for my home cover very soon.
Thank you for the information ??April 13, 2023 at 6:35 pm #219020
Adrian scottHi there could anyone recommend roof bars to fit kona ev probably after market ones if possible.
