When I saw the AP was reduced by £400 I decided to go for the black belt line , it isn’t on the configurator but the dealer could add it for £400
so I thought in for a penny , in for a pound and all that malarkey
I know it would have annoyed the life out of me and as I’m all fingers n thumbs I would never make a decent job it of myself ??♂️
although I’ve saw videos on YT where they have made good jobs of it ??

Make melonade!Neither would I but a friend is super handy and says it will be a piece of cake for him to do. So £15 for the tape and 90p for the donut is a winner, haha I might treat him to a.curry too if he does a good job.
I can already feel a buzz in my confidence and will be more looking forward to going out as opposed to being reluctant these days.
Ps. What’s the world coming to, being charged to replace luxury chrome trim with plain black, my grandad would turn in his grave if he knew.

when I visited the first dealer the rep said the beltline was over £1k so I’d never considered it
when dealing with the one I ordered through I mentioned it to her and she said it was £400 ( still a lot of money ) but with the AP dropping I just went with it
1st world problems I know , but when you don’t have much going on in your life you want things to be as perfect in your eyes as you can make them

Agree about going for it, why not if funds allow it. The boost to your well being will be priceless, hurry up and get it so we can see the pics and hear the tales of adventure.

I have a zesty Yellow one and it looks great if not a touch bright ?
I’m not due to change till October 25, if it’s still available it will be on my shortlist.

Make melonade!I bought a roll of the beltline tape but got worried about insurance issues, so need to call up RSA to make sure its okay at some point.
I wasn’t told anything about running in procedure so I’ve just been careful to not push it too hard and let it warm up with care, probably only put my foot down a handful of times on slip roads and out the toll gates to impress the passengers haha, blink and you’re at 70.
in terms of anywhere exciting, I’ve done snakes pass a few times last week to watch the snooker but always seem to catch the person in front too quickly hah.

I very much doubt changing the colour of beltline will affect your insurance,especially as your using technically a removeable non permanent tape.

I’m getting about 40 mpg, if I take it steady.

It’s a lot different to my first mini in 87, it doesn’t break down.
40mpg as well, like Dan, I’m quite shocked at this, it gives me hope that I won’t go skint when I get mine.
My auntie gave me an orange mini 1000 in 1981 as my first car, I wasn’t old enough to drive it yet but became proficient at reversing it 6ft and pulling forward again on the drive over 6 months period till I could learn to drive.
A few cars later I had a 1275gt, we had it sprayed red with while wheels and mirrors and the 1275gt stripe in white too. Had a black mini Mayfair run around once too and an MG metro red/orange ish and a silver MG metro turbo. Did quite well till got to the growing up stage of life.
All came to an abrupt change of pace a while back, grab life with both hands while tou can. Thanks to the scheme I’m about to relive my motoring youth, can’t wait.

Got a test drive tomorrow on JCW, I’m so looking forward to it. I drive Golf GTD dsg, it’s due to end of June. I need a fun car and mini JCW is only one at the moment..
Wll go for the premium plus one if I like the test drive, does the adaptive cruise control include?.it’s a must for me for a long drive.
Good luck with the test drive, make sure to clarify regarding the cruise control because I’m pretty sure it isn’t adaptive.

Good choice ?, that would be my choice as well but with a black Roof
I think they removed adaptive as an option because of chips, it comes with standard and limiter as standard.
