Ah that’s where the difference is , the adaptive cruise control comes with the prem plus pack along with the electric handbrake
tbh I’ve used the adaptive cruise control twice on my current car in 4 years so it wouldn’t be an issue if my car didn’t have it
ive checked with mini customer services and nothing is listed as missing in my build , been a lot of cars being built without the Harmon Kardon stereo due to chip shortages but they said mines has it
but you know how things can be missed so until collection day I won’t know for sure ??♂️

Yeah you’re right mate, when I ordered mines and asked about the handbrake they were like No you’ll get a manual handbrake , again no big deal – but since then they seem to be turning up with electric ones and adaptive CC
Will let you know when I collect it lol
but these things are pretty irrelevant to me tbh, they would have no impact whatsoever in my choice to go for the JCW , same as the mpg unless it was something dire like 11 ?
just want to enjoy it and have a little fun on my travels ??

Test drove the mini JCW last week. Had the car for an hour myself
My first impression was wow what a fun car, made me smile. The car has the adaptive cruise control and it worked well as my golf GTD dsg.
When I got back to the dealer, he started doing the car configurator, he couldn’t find adaptive cruise control anywhere and said MINI may have removed adaptive cruise control. For that reason I decided to not go ahead with mini JCW cos ACC is a must for me. I’m very disappointed.

it’s good when people are honest and judge it where it sits in the market and not comparing it much more powerful Audi/BMW’s etc cos they always leave you feeling underwhelmed

It’s says ACC is part of Mini Active Safety system?? Is Active Stafety system a standard for all Mini in 2023?
I don’t know what to say to be honest as with this world wide chip issue, odd things are happening regarding spec on many brands. Without sounding horrible, I’d question the brand knowledge on almost every sales rep I’ve ever met, so your dealer could well be wrong, is it a risk worth taking, absolutely not if it’s a big deal for the driver. My understanding is that it is included.
The reps at the mini place I’ve ordered from are very courteous and treated me like a normal person and customer ( I know, I know), I’ve emailed my contact to ask the question regarding this issue and will post reply when get it.

It is. My neigbour picked one up a fortnite ago, therefore unlikely it would not be a motabilty car.
You can cancel up to the point of putting your PIN in on collection day. Why not put your mind at rest and email/phone your dealer to clarify 🙂

looks like you will be getting yours first. I spoke to mini they said week 20 for delivery to dealers. The dealers called on Friday to say the cars in the paint shop and there is nothing missing from the build, which is nice, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Cant wait to see pics of yours while I wait for mine. I was was going to start cleaning the old ST ready for hand over, but it felt like packing too early for holiday ?

@Qe2 the adaptive cruise control is an odd one when it comes to the dealer’s configurator. It’s not on the options list. It’s a stand alone option which appears after the options page. It’s easily missed.

But when I parked at the dealers this morning I had a little nosey at it before my apt and I was more than put at ease
ive never been any type of mini fan, but standing there in the flesh I think it looks great, quirky but great
only took those 2 pics quickly outside before leaving for home
it’ll def take a bit of getting used to but I’m happy with my choice and it feels super comfy already
dealer did say these have been popular and due to how few they make in comparison to other models the delivery time is now into next year , so anyone interested go see it and get a decent test drive ??

Make melonade!It really looks the business Winston, very smart looking car, lovely colour and unlike some of the “Jellymoulds” that pass themselves off as cars these days it has real presence and character.
I’m sure it’s as good to drive as it looks so enjoy.
