No you can do that yourself, once you press accept or whatever it’s automatic.

        Car History:
        Ford Fiesta
        Vauxhall Astra Mk6
        Mazda 3
        BMW 2 Series Coupe
        Mercedes A Class
Vauxhall Astra Mk8 (Lease ended early)
        Renault Austral

Our Skoda Octavia does updates every few weeks. It gets confusing as you press “yes update” thinking that’s it, but the car won’t update whilst you’re driving, so you may see the message a few times for the same update.

Personally, I wouldn’t do an update away from home and I do it last thing. Why? In case it goes wrong!

First thing you need to find out is what your currant software package is. The latest one for the Sportage is October last year.

You can update at Kia update site. Click on notifications and its top of the list. Follow instruction and do it yourself.

It’s saying due to the current software version it will have to be done via USB I don’t have a computer.

Ask your dealer to do the software update, if you don’t have the facility to do it at home

Immingham Mulberry is where Kia’s national distribution centre and is where the PDI’s take place.

Kia has had issues at Immingham, as it was not excepting any more ships which meant they had to dock at Teeside. This caused extra delays as it took 3 weeks to get the cars transported from Teeside to Immingham. I don’t know if they are experiencing issues but, I guess it could have been missed with all the upheaval.

Just explain to your dealer, its not something you can do as you don’t have the equipment to do it and you want it booking in asap.

When did you order the car?
