Because my Elroq hopefully will be 3 weeks today 🎉 🥳
I hadn’t really taken the time to look at this quarters EVs – my upfront is £2299 – I looked just a few minutes ago – filters – over 250 range – sorted in cost low to high – would now be paying 3k plus minimum for less spec – and a car that suits my needs – so fate has been kind to me.
3k would be my absolute maximum – wouldn’t be able to justify more on the mileage I do – would probably ask to extend lease to next quarter and roll the dice.

Hi there, can’t be too long now before you collect your new Elroq, have they given you a date yet. I’m still loving mine and get lots of folk asking me about it.

As yet there has been no update from it’s waiting to be shipped from a port in Germany – in theory – a week Monday or Tuesday.
I have been told they will update me when it arrives in UK – but I have no idea how long the process is from arrival until collection.
Hopefully it will be before the end of the month – when I get the car I will post some pictures after a couple of days.
There have been some very positive reviews – so looking forward to receiving the car – lots of new tech to get my head around.Glad to hear you are still loving your car – I wonder if this thread will become more active next quarter – the Elroq appears to be in high demand 😁👍

If it’s any help, mine took about 10 days from the port in Germany to get to the UK, clear customs and be transported up to Aberdeen. The Elroq and Enyaq have just been listed along with Mercedes and BMW by which in their top list of best EVs.

Update – change over to my new Elroq – late Tuesday afternoon – so hope to post some pictures by end of next week and start to give an honest – first impressions – nobody wants to think they got it wrong – but I will do my best to be honest.
As the car is no longer on this quarter and I have no idea when it will be back – I might be talking to an empty room – I will try and detect any echo 😳 😂😂👍

Elroq is on my shortlist for looking at next year (October) although currently being nudged out by the Ford Explorer Premium or another Enyaq 85X as it now comes with the HUD as standard on that version

Thanks Gordon – the appointment is for 4:30 – so by the time everything is done and I have had the run through and paired phone and Škoda app (which I have already downloaded) it will be after 5:30 – so I will be glad of all the tech as the traffic will be heavy for the 13 miles back.

Just been over to check car before coming back and transferring money. Picking car up late afternoon – it seems a lovely car – my wife came with me – I could see she thought it was big compared to the Kona.
The shape makes it look bigger than it is – the turning circle of kona is 10.6 compared to 9.3 of Elroq so I’m sure that will compensate for the 11 inches longer.I asked the Motability rep if he thought it would be back next quarter – he told me there was a 6 month waiting list for ordinary customers – so was doubtful we would see it for some time and expected the AP to be higher – so right place right time.

More about how you drive it home.The seats in the Elroq also have a massage function – actually – i think it was a good deal and am certainly looking forward to exploring all the new tech – I suspect like the massage function there will be many bits of luxury tech that I will use once and then not bother with – but the safety tech is more the reason for going for the sportline.

Picked up the car this morning – was meant to be yesterday – went in checked the car – came home transferred money at 12 noon – checked app 30 mins later – money gone not pending – Motability rep was at account team all afternoon to confirm – about 4:50 they managed to confirm – so it didn’t happen – not good – but not reps fault – he was very professional throughout

Once you drive it a few times, the range will go down. It’s based on how aggressively you drove it the last time I think.

Hey, looks amazing! Glad you’ve got it. Ordered mine in May and have been told mid-September. As this is my first Motability car, your comments about the payment were an eye opener. I’d assumed I would just walk into the dealership in the morning, pay the dealer direct with my debit card, and then walk out with the car?
Used to be once – now anything over 1k has to be done by transfer – that’s why I wanted to check before I transferred.
It’s a lovely car – the suspension is solid as you might expect from sport so I think you said you were having the variable suspension add on – will be easy for you to dial in what works for you.
I will post more pictures and express my honest thoughts on the car.
There is a lot of tech to get your head around but the touch screen is crisp clear and fast. The memory for the seats and mirrors is very useful if there is more than one driver.
You open the door seat automatically moves back for maximum access and also moves back when you open door to get out. – very useful.Snap! Great choice of colour, thought I was looking at my own Elroq lol.
when I collected mine the battery was showing over 400 miles, it’s never been the same since! I’m sure you will love it more and more as you get used to it and discovering what everything does. I’m glad you got there in the end with the payment and collecting the car.

Went out last night to experience the lights – very impressed – as usual there was the odd car coming towards me on full beam – I was dazzled far less than in the Kona.
Just come back from a ride in the rain – again to experience another condition – good auto wipers – very good and easy to drive – just does everything well – some reviews moan about the touch screen – I haven’t found it a problem – it is clear and responsive and easy to Taylor to your own requirements.
The battery seems good – over 4 – mainly back roads – but also queuing traffic – aircon wipers and music on – so far very impressed 👍👍
