Just asking how long do you normally wait for replacement vehicle when you’re car is in for repairs.

Depends on when you requested it. The longest I’ve waited for a hire car is the next morning after requesting one, but it might have come sooner had I not insisted that it was a comparable car.

You need to get in touch with them first and they will set you a budget. Normally very small, but you can argue why you require more: in my case it was daily routine of 40 miles.
They did it for me multiple times due to ongoing issues with my last two vehicles.

Motability VW Touran Family Pack May 2019 (happy customer)September 17, 2025 at 1:38 pm #312751I told them that due to my wife’s disability we needed an SUV for the higher seating position and a decent size boot for the wheelchair. We had some dreadful cars (Vauxhall Mokka and MG HS) but also a Mercedes GLB (which had faults, but it was at least a decent replacement for our BMW). If you don’t make a case you get a cr@ppy little runabout.

Best offer was a manual petrol Vauxhall Mokka.
