      Hi all

Quick question. I got my full data from the dwp a month ago they sent it as paper a great big box with many reams of paper in it.

Anyway I got my 32 page AR1 form with the usual kinda 3 weeks to get it back to them. Has anyone just sent a copy of the AR1 from their previous renewal (assuming everything matched still)?  I was just thinking what a shortcut it’d be save me typing it all out again into a new form.

As long as its all true still I can’t see that it’s against any rules as such. Anyone’s thoughts? I’ll probably still tweak it to make it a little different but it’d be kind of a cheat

I’m amazed that they can’t speak to you on the phone and ask if anything has changed?

        Best of luck with it

If I where you @Rich44 I would call them and ask, just to be sure. And whilst you on the phone ask if you are not due a light touch review, i.e, a paper review.

Highly advise getting Welfare Rights, CA etc filling it in, with as much info as possible on seperate pages.

Couldnt agree more! I used to get help from someone from the local council years ago but as support dwindled away to nothing I became a member of the website you linked kezo. Easily the BEST thing I’ve ever done when it comes to dealing with these forms. Once a member you get full access to the constantly updated guides to download which are superb!

I used their guide when changing from DLA to PIP years ago and the result was an indefinite award with a light touch review every 10 years. Couldnt have been happier. It’s all in the detail and how you write it.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions I do the forms myself now.  I had Fightback do one when I got worse and they did my MR and Tribunal submission and coached me for the tribunal which I won inside 3 minutes enchanced both elements.  I have a box from the dwp with everything i’ve ever sent them there’s about 2000 pages so i’ll see about putting something together from that.  If I could ask them easily i’d ask for them to put it off given current issues but we all know the DWP has zero compassion so probably wouldn’t work.

To be honest i’ve a good mind to just send what I sent in 3 years ago it was good enough then.  The deadline is 28/10. I’ve got a child in mental health crisis and there’s ZERO support even from a GP on top of everything else going on I don’t think I can face doing it any other way i’m pretty close to a full breakdown myself after the summer we just had:

DWP screwed up UC claim in July as older child came off but younger child added disability element so instead UC was short by £700 a month only sorted in September

Older child ended up in hospital screaming in pain and ended up needing emergency surgery was in for 2 weeks and didn’t eat for 11 days.

Now younger one has his crisis so we’re going through it again and now they want to renew PIP, it was due this year but for some reason they extended it by 12 months to make renewal next year.  Had to phone them to find out, 45 minutes on hold.

Hospitals are 30 miles away so thats fun too
