my brother was moved from dla to pip for two year he had a review assessment in the house the day before they stopped doing the assessments he is still waiting on a decision .
he has a motability car they have extended the lease while waiting on the result.
he was put onto Mobility Enhanced Rate and Daily Living Standard Rate
today he got a payment of £607.95 he would normally get £200ish

My guess its a back payment but for piece of mind I’d tried to put any money above the amount you thought you should of got away because if it is an over payment they will want it back.
I assume this payment has just turn up on his bank balance/statement and would think DWP will get around to sending out a confirmation letter eventually.
BTW I’ve seen folk before say the DWP has made a payment on an award that they haven’t confirmed in writing before.

Yes it’s back payment it sounds like he’s been put on higher rate for daily living too now.
Did not read it properly. But you say dla if I’m not wrong it’s less than pip.so it will be back pay.
