My brain has turned to marshmallow with the stress of picking/choosing my next car,you say to yourself that cars nice i’ll look deeper into what spec it has,are they in stock or delivery time,whats the AP,reviews from owners.
I did have an Enyak Sportline 85x on order but binned it off because of length of delivery and owners saying the cars have simple faults (like charging flap) sticking shut. £1.6k AP
I moved onto Ioniq 5 Ultimate AWD version,me being picky would i miss the rear wiper,the interior in the central area being minimalist,the roof lining being ultra bright white.Stock very low and in colours i dont like,i sat in one today it was a white one it was ok i suppose i could get used to the interior,audio sounded good…..£2.8kAP
Ive looked at the Ioniq 6,i like interior it has a normal style centre console,but they only do the Premium spec 228ps on the scheme,sat in one today it felt like you were lower down,the exterior design grabs your eyes where do you look first…..£2.4k AP
Ive been looking at the Mustang Mach E,you can only get the Select (basic trim spec) on the Scheme,and unless you opt for the tech pack (costs more) you miss out on electric seats and the Bose audio,that car has a 3.5k AP.
I have looked at the latest facelift Kuga ( i have the current Kuga 21 reg) i like the upgrades it has had namely the AGR spec front seats,there is no full EV Kuga just the Phev and the AP on those is 6k+ out of reach for me.
I might be waiting for Q3 but thats another waiting game…….Doh.

I managed to order the 2024 model yesterday.
Congratulations, I should be picking mine up in the next week or so , I am getting a 23.75 I was very tempted to wait as I hate the wheels on it and think the wheels on the 24 are much better, but suddenly, the little kid inside me says don’t wait another four weeks you want it now.
We both certainly have exciting times ahead of us

That same kid inside made me order a stock 2023 one in black at the end of April but due to Motability’s insistence that the car must be ordered in person and I wasn’t too keen on travelling over two hours just to digitally sign and because meanwhile I found out about the 2024 model, I didn’t go through with it. You are spot on though. I have test driven the car extensively and it is a joy to sit in with enough oomph and with a much nicer interior than the i5 which was my other choice.

On the Motability website it says you get the 197kW power,have you asked the supplying dealership if that is the power output you are getting,because i see there is a 198kW one when you check the specifications on other websites……the 197kW output is the faster of the two to 62 strangely.

198kW – 2023, 2023.75MY
197kW – 2024MY
The new motor has 95Nm more torque though, hence the faster 0-100 km/h.
Don’t take any of this as gospel but this is the most accurate info I’ve been able to glean from various websites. Ford is not very clear in its brochures with different metrics for different MY brochures.

What happens to the word Rapid if you flip the “p” it becomes Rabid.
Been into Ford dealers this morning to take my current Kuga in for a fault that it came out of the dealers with the last time it was in mid June,you take a car into the dealers with a fault and it comes out with another fault.
Anyway spoke with Mob specialist see if they have an update,and the screen is showing “shipped” so its left the factory in Mexico,and is showing 5th Oct to be at dealers although Phil did say it could be earlier like September.
I hope the container ship has safe passage across the Atlantic.
THAT long Mick? What gives? I spoke to my dealer yesterday and she said mine should be available by the 22nd of July at the latest and that it’d have been available earlier but that there was a recall that needed to be applied to all Mach e’s on that shipment (or something like that).
Charger is scheduled for its install on Monday. Looks like everyone is working to “just in time” delivery rules in my case. 😅

He showed me the screen with all the relevant details,even the VIN number,looks like it came off the line in late May,its possibly been waiting around for a whole bunch more to come off and get containered (if thats what they do) ready for shipping.Who knows what ports the container ship calls at on its way across.I would love to see a ship tracker for that ship.
