I’m just wondering if Ohme have all information and forward your installation to an installer, does that mean there is no extra charges or will the installer look and then report back to Ohme, before they install the charger?

Have a read through the numerous home charger threads.

It means nothing of the kind.  They have your survey, and have decided an install is possible, it’ll be down to the installer to verify their cost for the install, go back to Ohme and get that signed off.  Meanwhile your DNO will be asked to verify your ‘fuse’ rating for the entire house and that your supply is suitable.

All it does mean is that you’ve not got a definite no.

Thank you for your reply, did read through the threads but having foggy day, not sure if I’m the right way up or not or it’s my other left I need ???. At least it’s progressing.

In my case, after OHME passed the information to my installer, he called me up to discuss my survey in more detail.

Specifically the cupboard where my fuse box is located wasn’t big enough to all house the extra EV Consumer unit, so we talked through some options. Once agreed, the installer said he would give this information back to OHME.

I had a call a few days later, and the the guys came round a week after that to install.

In my case I had no extra charges.

It was quite funny/worrying when the two guys came to install. ‘So what are we doing?’ he asked me.

            Yikes.

‘He was then on the phone to the supervisor (who I presumably spoke to) who cleared up any confusion they had.

Still, a good job in the end!

Just had my phone call booking me in for 20th March, no discussions about extra cost or questions regarding installation. So one can only assume they feel it’s all good to go.

Hi John, hopefully 18 March, sooooo looking forward to getting it, not that I drive, but it’s very comfy and I like it, a bit out of the box so to speak, but like me. I see you get yours in April, so not long for you either.

We had a delay with the charger installation, as we had a shed to demolish at the rear of the house, where the charger will be fitted, and to make a parking space.
